Room with unbearable sewage smell was…

Stayed in Amsterdam Rai N how hotel recently.
Room with unbearable sewage smell was given.
Went to the room dropped luggage, as it was freshly cleaned thought it was strong fumes of chemicals.
Came back late night and room was stinky. Tried to sleep but early morning it was so strong that we woke up and first thing I called Helpdesk.
Explained everything and ask for help.
“What can we do!! Sorry but I can’t do anything about it “ was the response.

All I was expecting someone to come and spray a room freshener or something. Response from Helpdesk made me so upset that I booked another hotel for the night. Otherwise plan was to stay one more night here.
Staff is aware about sewage stink as it was addressed by other guests too but clearly they just don’t care.
Really disappointed.

Home from Home

Firstly my heartfelt best wishes to all the staff operatives and management at nhow Amsterdam Rai.
I have to say that this hotel tops all the hotels I’ve ever visited throughout my travels of the world, as they have really shown the importance of integrity, empathy, heartfelt sincerity and duty of care for their guests when faced with unfortunate circumstances such as sudden illness as my mrs did.

Their warm welcoming energies, presented in an environment with colourful quirky images and decor that complemented them, left a type of nostalgic essence and comfortable vibe, which reminded me of old Amsterdam 25-30 years ago, but in a modern time. With the soft soulful music, sometimes jazz sounds that danced through the hotel lobby just made it feel like home from home.

Apart from my mrs feeling poorly to begin with it’s this hotel that cared enough to support us and get her well enough to enjoy the rest of our holiday, simply through the duty of care and I sincerely commend them and thank them for that.

There hotels that are hidden gems 💎 in Amsterdam but this hotel
Is more than a gem to us. It’s our new home from home when we visit Amsterdam with a breakfast range to die for!
