My view of Rachel Reeves is extremely negative based on her actions in office. The approach to taxation appears to place increasing pressure on working individuals and businesses, while at the same time expanding public spending in ways that don’t feel disciplined or sustainable.
From where I stand, this combination - higher tax burdens alongside broader benefit commitments raises serious concerns about long-term economic stability and incentives to work and invest. It feels like the balance is wrong, and ordinary working people are the ones carrying the cost.
Communication has also been poor. Key decisions are often presented without sufficient clarity or transparency, leaving people uncertain about what is actually changing and why.
Overall, this comes across as weak economic leadership, with policies that risk discouraging productivity and growth rather than supporting it. I have very little confidence in the current direction.
