Dishonest company go elsewhere

Joined up under a promotional deal (so I thought) where you had to place a bet first and then get credited in free bets for the rest of the card. Waited for free bets and when they didn’t appear got in touch with customer support who said my account wasn’t eligible (as apparently it’s their discretion to award bonuses or not - and no I hadn’t ever had an account with them or anything like that before) so I said well I’d like to cash out my initial bet then as that’s why I placed it. Told no on that too as apparently you need a “valid reason” to cancel a bet. Absolute scam artists clearly.

Great site/customer service

Read a lot of negative reviews about bets being restricted, which hasn't happened for me, but then again I've been winning AND losing, which is how it goes.
Furthermore, when signing up and attempting to activate the sign up bonus to receive the 3 × £10 free bets, I misread the T&Cs and my bet wasn't at Fixed odds meaning it didn't qualify. They allowed me to place a second bet and still added the 3 x free bets as a good will gesture.
Absolutely no complaints so far!

Its a waste of time joining racebets…

Its a waste of time joining racebets because they won't let you do fixed odds betting. Some on this thread are saying they were blocked from fixed odds because they won money. But in fact I lost all my bets with them over a period of about three days and they still blocked me so its not winning that's the problem. They are in breach of the rules though surely if they make out you can do fixed odds to draw you in then block you for no reason.

Also they use "effect" where they should have used "affect" in their email to punters.

The biggest scammer bookie out there

The biggest scammer bookie out there! I signed up to Racebets, placed 3 bets (small stakes, the biggest was £20) and came out £15 in profit.

The next day ... an email telling me I'd been restricted to SP and all promotions removed! Unbelievable. How this "bookmaker" is in business still is a mystery. Have the audacity to win a couple of bets and be a little in profit and goodbye! there's the door.

Horrible little outfit, avoid at all costs!

Arrogant, entitled and ultimately irrelevant

My experience has been similar to many of the other reviewers here. I'm a very small-stakes bettor - maximum £10 bets and just a few times a week. After a couple of recent wins, I've now been restricted to SP only, with limited stakes. I have no problem going elsewhere - it's not like there aren't plenty of other bookmakers out there - but the breathtaking arrogance of a company who email you saying they "hope you will continue to use Racebets" despite the fact they are choosing to treat you like a second-class customer has made me fume. If you don't give a toss about value for money or customer service, you should go for it - sign up, and take them for as much money as you possibly can before they restrict you, too. Otherwise, steer clear and we can all enjoy watching this unpleasant organisation collapse and vanish up the hole of their own entitlement.

10 Euro Freebet

10 Euro Freebet, account was veriefed by email and my mobile phone NUMBER, confirmed by support. I still couldn't do any bet or any deposit, because I got the error message, please verify your account or contact the support. I couldn't verify my account again, with my phone number, because I already used it to verify my account. Support doesn't help and just give me the answer, please verify your account.

How??? HOW SHOULD I DO THIS???

Kepp your hands away from this casino. Same scamming casino like Bingohall.com, maybe even worst.

Best to stay away from RaceBets

As with the other negative reviews, they let you sign up, deposit freely but turn even a small profit and you get limited to SP prices only. When i say small i mean it it too (£50 in my case!). Complete sham of a company...

I signed up with Racebets 18 days ago…

I signed up with Racebets 18 days ago depositing £200 . I have other betting accounts and so was not looking to use Racebets exclusively. The deal was deposit a minumum of £50 turn it over 5 times in 31 days to keep the bonus. I had turned over £110 by the 18th day by which time my balance was around £415 (including the bonus) with a mixture of winners and losers and most stakes around the £10 mark. I went to place £30 on a 6/4 shot when I received a message saying that this bet wasn't being accepted and the price immediately changed to evens. I went to place the same bet at this price which was also refused. Out of curiosity I kept reducing the stake to see what would happen - not even a bet of 50p was accepted. I e mailed Racebets to complain and received the response that all my bets would have to be at SP and that Racebets reserved the right to limit my stakes. Also the reply contained the phrase " and this decision is finsl:. So essentially from a relatively small punter such as myself they refused to lay my bets as I had profited by a paltry £165 in 18 days. Additionally the cynic in me thinks that I was being bet restricted to avoid qualifying for the bonus. DON'T OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH RACEBETS. They are spineless , won't lay average stakes and completely inflexible to complaints. They're prices aren't the best either.

Took my money then immediately banned…

Took my money then immediately banned me from using fixed-odds bets. As I'd won my free bet on Racebets, all of my money went onto there and I couldn't withdraw it until I wagered it 5x. Now I have to place SP bets without knowing the odds (it says wagers won't be put towards withdrawals unless above 1.5) and I don't even know what the odds are.

Crap company f*k off.

SCAM

SCAM - don’t use this bookie. They’ll take your deposit and your money then they’ll immediately restrict any bonuses or promotions.

Absolutely disgusting - I implore all of you to go to the gambling commission and clearly outline this scam so this dodgy company is shut down for good. How they can get away with it in this day and age is horrific - any other industry would be severely punished.

Avoid like the plague

Avoid like the plague. ATR complained to as they promote this firm but more interested in their retainer than looking after their customers. Took my money but would not pay 3 winning free bets. Do not be tempted by any false offer made on ATR site such as free bets etc.

What a really awful company!!

What a really awful company!!! As others have said below, i signed up as a new user and was restricted from placing bets immediately.
Basically, they are scamming you in with a welcome offer that they never uphold, pretty much guaranteeing that you will lose your deposit.
I believe I have enough evidence here to report this to eCogra as fraudulent activity by RaceBets.
I ADVISE ANYONE READING THIS TO STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!

"Whilst reviewing your account we noticed that some restrictions have been applied.
You can still place bets at racetracks all over the world including the UK and Ireland however, you would have to take starting price as fixed odds bets are no longer available to you. Please bear in mind that a maximum stake may also be applied at our discretion.
As a result of this decision, future promotions and offers have also been limited. This said, you may still be able to claim the Welcome Bonus, if you have not done so already. Any current, active bonuses will not be effected, although, bonus wagering requirements would need to be met by placing bets at starting price and with odds of 1.50 or above.
Please understand that this was a business decision and we are not at liberty to disclose any further information on the matter. Kindly note that the decision is final and cannot be overturned. We will not be able to comment on any further contact in this regard.
We appreciate this is disappointing and offer our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We hope you will continue to use Racebets and wish you all the best.

Best regards,
*****

Tantamount to theft; a shambles of a site

Stay away from this site:

Signed up, went to place a bet, and was informed that I couldn't. I rang their customer support and I was told that the account had been frozen (without reasoning) and i had been restricted. New account, new address. Never used them before in my life...

So in summary, I signed up for a new account, deposited, and was restricted before a bet was even placed. I am now waiting to get my initial deposit back.

Please, stay away from this company.

How they are still in business is beyond me?!

I registered with Racebets after seeing they were offering the best odds in a horse running the next day, most bookies were offering 20/1 but racebets offered 33/1, but there was a catch, I signed up and I read the promotion advertised in their website that you can get a matched free bet of upto £50, all standard payment method and wagering terms applied as expected, I made my first deposit of £50 via PayPal and added my selection to the betting slip, I tried to place a £25 E/W bet but a message appeared in screen to say I couldn’t place more than £20 each way at those odds, I’m wasn’t all that bothered since I was still getting much better odds than other bookies, an hour later I received an email saying my account was restricted and I could no longer place bets at fixed odds but rather at the SP and their decision was final and no further communication on the matter would be discussed, but it did state that although I could no longer opt in to any further promotions for free bets but the welcome offer that matched my first bet I could still receive, I did phone the company and I spoke to a guy who was very polite and helpful and I had mentioned I had read so many negative reviews about the company and his tone automatically changed and he took offence as if it was his company I was critizing (it could very well be him running it from his basement somewhere lol) and he assured me that wasn’t fair and the overwhelming majority of customers had a great service and experience with racebets, I went to opt into the new customer offer which I was still entitled too and of course! My account was not allowed to opt into it like the email said, from what I can gather the email I received is the same every single customer receives after registering or depositing and placing a bet, my selection didn’t win and although I feel cheated by a fake promo and a dodgy bookie god only know what would’ve happened if I won and tried to withdraw my winnings, I’m not a disgruntled punter, I simply trusted the company and the promotion as advertised through attheraces.com but I guess it’s best to stick to the big bookies like sky bet or bet365 they have decades in the business and a good reputation, take my advice if you are thinking of registering with a bookie for a new customer free bet promo or for slightly better odds, there are dozens or reputable bookmakers out there, it’s a shame that all new customers get that generated email about restricting accounts because you could’ve had loyal punters using your service for years to come, just thought I’d give my opinion
