Takes a bit of getting used to but once you’ve linked your bank account or uploaded a csv file it’s just a question of allocating transactions. If you’re familiar with bookkeeping you can do the year... See more

Great tool. Seamless integration.
Great tool. The bank and HMRC integration make it a natural and seamless fit into our business processes. Our accountant’s recommended it as it forms a single “source of truth” ensuring alignment across team as well as our VAT and annual accounts submissions.

is not property business specific or doesn't support it but overall is simple and basic to do the job
This has been a great free software as…
This has been a great free software as a new sole trader. Once you have figured how to add invoices etc then it's plain sailing. Only very slightly grumble is it would of been handy to have a guide etc on how to use it. If there is one I must of missed it but that is equally plausible as well. 4.5 stars a free software with everything you need to get started.
well organized pages

For someone only needing a system for basic needs it works perfectly. Simple to use with no training necessary
Great option for your first business
Started my side hustle and needed an affordable software that would work for someone with no accounting experience. Tried some of the heavily marketed options but chosen QuickFile after all. Very happy with the software
QuickFile is simple to set up and…
QuickFile is simple to set up and intuitive to use. It has helpful built-in search functions to identify glass of purchases, and a wide range of reports to meet all needs. I would highly recommend this to others.
Easy and useful
I find it easy and useful to make invoices for my business. Everything is clear and easy to interpret. The help I was given to administer my accounts was very good.
Free software for MTD
I had to get software to submit my accounts this year for MTD and this was listed among the free options. It seems to be very user friendly so far and I have found recording my income and outgoings very easy.
I have been able to connect up my HMRC account and hope it will keep the new quarterly reporting nice and smooth!

It is totally free unless you need something advanced. It is user friendly and "enough".

Absolutely hands down the best accounting package I have used. It is very easy to set up and use. Even for the most anxious business owner. Has numerous useful components such as automatic bank feed, reports, dashboard etc. Is great value and the help pages, FAQs and customer support is brilliant
Easy to complete monthly invoicing
Easy to complete the documentation, create invoices, and expenses, and to create a record and summary.
Useful to be able to alter the currency.
Easily email invoices to recipient
In general Quick File is easy to use…
In general Quick File is easy to use although I find the bank reconciliations user unfriendly . It would be easier to to be able to reconcile from the date of the previous completion so that all reconciled transactions did not continually show
Great & simple invoicing software
It's free so can't complain too much
It's free so can't complain too much, but feels like you have to do way more clicks than necessary to select items and options. Also not easy to find instructions on how to use it, particularly regarding uploads to Inland Revenue
I highly recommend QuickFile - give it a go!
As a sole-trader freelancer, most of the accounting software I’ve tried (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Freshbooks, Xero, FreeAgent) is too complicated for what I need. And lots are very expensive for sole traders because you end up paying for features you don’t need. I tried QuickFile and never looked back. I regularly recommend it to lots of freelance and self-employed contacts.
There’s a small annual fee to automatically sync with your bank account (which is really helpful) but everything else is free.
I found it really easy to import all my data from other accounts and my own spreadsheets too.
Once you get things set up it’s self-serving and easy to use. They leave you to it, as it's 'intuitive' but there are online guides and customer service forums. Whenever I’ve had problems the customer service has been excellent, and the community support is very useful.
From what I can tell it still does more complicated stuff if you need more sophisticated bookkeeping but you can just use what you need, instead of getting caught it loads of complexity.
It's less slick and snazzy than other software out there, but I kind of like it.
I highly recommend QuickFile. And urge freelancers, sole-traders and small businesses to give it a go!
Its easy to fo my invoicing
