absolutely appalling customer service. i have a simple technical issue on invoicing that has been sitting with QB second line team for weeks. Have chased several times as it is causing me a serious business issue. Every time I ring I get one response "you cannot speak to the 2ndd line team, you cannot escalate further, it is being resolved". In other words, nadder!!!

I was completely new to QuickBooks
I was completely new to QuickBooks, but after a phone call with Shilloh, I felt so much more confident. They guided me step by step through sorting my taxes and filing quarterly returns. By the end of the call, I was completely at ease and now feel like I understand everything I need to do.

This is by the FAR the worst customer service team I have ever encountered. They give cookie cutter answers, have no real knowledge of how QuickBooks works, can't troubleshoot any problems, no one speaks English and they are completely incompetent. Every rep gives Different answers to the same question every time I called. 2 weeks later and still no resolution to my problem!
Superb customer service
Dawn was brilliant, she was calm and understood my payroll query/issue. I hadn't got a clue how to fix what turned out to be a simple problem but she was kind and explained that it was not a problem. I didn't feel like I was being stupid and she reassured me that I had done everything right up to the point I got stuck.

The previous version was much clearer and easier to navigate.
I don't like the widgets. I don't need the AI and I don't like the look or anything else about the upgrade.

My experience with QuickBooks?
Frustrating.
Here are some of today's messages:

Something isn’t working. Please refresh or try again later
It can take 5 attempts to log in, for some reason especially in the mornings. This is the error message for the log-in screen "There's an issue on our end. We're on it."
And before you ask, my computer is almost brand new and all updates are up-to-date. I know how to refresh a screen (trust me, getting very proficient at that just by using QuickBooks), I clear the cache on a regular basis.
No, I don't want to contact their customer services or techies, I've emailed them in the past with issues and got nowhere. Their customer service folk on the phone are not too bad, but it can be a long wait to get through to them.
QuickBooks also send you reminders to submit your VAT return, AFTER you've submitted the return via QuickBooks.
If you are running a small business with simple and straightforward book-keeping, do yourself a favour and just use Excel. It will save you time, money and you'll have less grey hair :)
UPDATE 12/05/26: latest error message, one that I've not seen before "We’re sorry! You don’t have access rights to view this data" I was trying to access invoices from a supplier.

Valery was professional and understanding throughout the call. She answered all my questions and also confirmed that I was happy with areas we covered. I highly recommend Valery and this experience in setting up Quickbooks. You may think you know what to do, but the experts will make it easier for you!

Lovely informative agent
My experience was brilliant. I had a lovely, helpful and patient agent called Andrei. He talked me through everything and waited patiently as I fumbled around with passwords etc.
l find tax, business and all that comes with it so confusing as I’m learning as I go. However, I now feel so much more confident about it all going forward.

Customer service was great. The share screen feature was really helpful. A shout-out to Julia. She was knowledgeable, optimised the instructions by testing them in her system first, and then provided the right steps. She was super kind and precise.
