I am a first time buyer and was placed in very capable, safe hands with Quealy. I purchased a leasehold property which took just under 12 weeks, all thanks to superb service and care from Lee Garlick and Lisa Pacitti. It is very clear that providing outstanding customer service is at the forefront of their minds, demonstrated through their thorough communication and general conscientiousness. The team went above and beyond to ensure a smooth purchase, providing regular updates throughout (Athena especially!) and being quick to respond to general queries. There was a hiccup along the way (through no fault of Quealy) but was resolved in a very timely manner with the help of Lisa and Lee’s speedy communication and genuine care. I felt very much taken care of along the way and will recommend Quealy to others going forward. Thank you very much, team.
They don’t answer the phone
Been trying all week to get an appointment to view a property, but no one ever answers the phone. When you get through to someone they don’t even work in the office and they never pass your message on! Avoid at all cost ! How they sell anything is beyond me

Very professional company
Very professional company. No pressure from buying and it’s very obvious that clients are their top priority.
I dealt with Holly who was great with Information and quick responses.
Outstanding
Outstanding - I would highly recommend Quealy's. They all went above and beyond to help me purchase my house and see it all through especially Ben Heard, he knew from my first viewing exactly what I wanted after viewing several homes when a particular house came up he notified me straight away, knowing I'd love it and it was perfect for me. I viewed this home and he was right......and it's now become my new dream home.
I even used their mortgage broker who services were amazing. I'd also like to recommend Athena who was part of the team with the selling process, she kept me fully up to date on matters at all times and was a god send. Thank you so much everyone :)
Thanks so much everyone.
What a great team
What a great team we had found the house we loved but needed to sell, all at Quealy and co seemed to be working only for us and not only did they find a buyer it was a cash deal.
Thanks all

All the staff at Quealys were so very helpful with the sale of our property even tho it was a difficult transaction as the buyers solicitors made it difficult!!!!!. I can only praise them as they kept me informed at all stages of the sale and helped so much with the difficult questions that kept arising. Many thanks for your patience’s and support 😁 Brilliant service 👏👏👍
I viewed a property for sale with…
I viewed a property for sale with Quehly & Co, I made a cash offer over the asking price. Quehly called me the day after offering me other properties, I politely explained I was only interested in the property I bid on, the agent then told me the property was sold. However the property was still showing for sale on their website, Zoopla and Rightmove. I rang them on a different number with a false name and requested a viewing, the property was still for sale obviously, I can only assume they did not want to sell to a cash bidder?? I note they are also a Mortgage broker, read into that what you will.... Acting for themselves not the vendor, I wouldn't go near them if you are selling a property, they are not giving the vendor all bids made....
As a retired estate agent I was happy with the service.
As a retired estate agent I found my experience, when purchasing from this company, nothing but positive. My main point of contact throughout the process was Rebecca Wood, who was helpful, efficient and quick to respond, even on her day off when timescale mattered. So thank you Rebecca and the team. I love my new house.
Save yourself the stress - AVOID
We purchased our house via this agent, and it was simply one of the worst experiences to date.
Prior to offer, all was well and they couldn’t be more helpful, however, post-offer the agent assigned was rude, entitled, overly opinionated and quite frankly made our entire purchase a nightmare.
Quealy lacked key knowledge of the property we were purchasing, which caused quite significant delays in the process. Not only did this put our sale at risk but they made us to feel this was our fault, by an agent that was unhelpful, unknowledgeable and who simply didn’t listen - as a result, they have negatively impacted my overall health; how can this be acceptable.
Communication was an ongoing issue, and so many times I would write a response and delete it, through fear of not wanting to make the experience worse (on reflection, I now recognise that wasn’t possible).
Even on the day of completion, finally, they caused additional and undue stress which simply wasn’t required. I could go on, but it’s just too much to write, and as said, this experience has already been stressful, I now just want to forget it.
Our viewings were the best aspect - the chap was lovely.
Another minor aspect, it’s the first time that on purchasing a new home, there wasn’t a welcome card, which given the ongoing issues caused, was unexpected.
Quealy and co
Quealy and co. have been an integral part of my property acquisition success. Tom and Hayley in particular, are an invaluable asset to the firm, both extremely professional, diligent and tenacious, they work very hard in the best interest of their client, give clear and concise advise , taking an holistic viewpoint whilst putting long term goal into consideration.
I have no reservations in recommending them.
It has been a pleasure, thank you both.
Waste of time
Waste of time, never get back to you, I wonder how many properties could be let if they followed up leads!!!
Awful as a lettings agency
Awful as a lettings agency, great for greedy landlords. They're absolutely landlord centered not caring about the issues tenants raise. After more than 10 years of tenancy with two young children - paying the rent regularly and on time even during lockdown - a bit more cooperation and support was expected. Had continuous problems with a poorly fitted front door and a falling apart shed( what have been replaced only after moving out), cold rooms (extra radiator has been fitted after moving out), mildew, damp and condensation, what continuously raised on visits. Instead of helping sorting out the issues only council leaflets were given with silly advices and continuously asked they hope I don't use tumble drier or dry clothes indoor wintertime. Lizzie the property manager even told that the problems caused because of poor lifestyle. She's the rudest, most arrogant agent with zero customer care - either in person or correspondence - and actual property knowledge experience. After checkout she refused handing over any of the routine visit reports mentioning any of the problems raised, saying she's not able to do so because of their admin system upgrade. Sometimes she even sent me emails addressed to the landlords. At checkout they even charged for smoke alarm batteries. They insisted on the amount of deductions though the problems have never been solved or even cared. Some support and advice was given on routine visits though by a different agent.

Never again.
So today I handed back my keys after renting my flat for 6 months from Quealy and Co. The flat itself was lovely. When being shown around the flat I was treated well although simple questions like ‘is this place gas central heating?’ and ‘where is the meter?’ weren’t able to be answered. The moving in process was straight forward enough and they dealt with setting up the energy supplier (Octopus Energy - great customer service) which was a great help. That is where all the helpfulness ended however. Throughout the tenancy I had a couple of issues, one being the lack of hot water. I let Quealys know and it took them 3 weeks to send someone out. This was when it was freezing and heating and a warm bath would’ve been much appreciated. When my standing order didn’t go through because of a spelling mistake however, it took them no time whatsoever to contact me asking where the rent was. Another issue was towards the end of my agreement. I noticed a small leak under my kitchen sink and discovered that the plumber has secured the water drainage pipe to another pipe with sellotape! This technically isn’t the estate agents fault and it was fixed immediately but that’s a poor choice of plumber on their behalf. Whenever I called up to report an issue I was always spoken to like it was more of an inconvenience to Quealy’s than it was to me. But that being said, each problem was solved. The final point I need to make is what happened to me today before I handed my keys over to the genuinely nice and professional man who came to inspect the flat for any damage. Before he was to arrive, me and my stepdad was to remove the final item of mine that was in the property (a fridge freezer) and load it onto his van. The reason the fridge was still in the flat so close to the handing over of the keys is because I kept being let down by a lady who said she wanted to buy it. While waiting for my stepdad to arrive so we could get the fridge out I got a call from him to say he’s going to be late as my mother has been rushed to hospital. I contacted Quealy’s to explain why there’s still a fridge in what is now their flat and that I would need to reschedule as I needed to go to the hospital. Lizzie, who I spoke to, didn’t show any sympathy whatsoever. All she said was that the company will charge me for every day the fridge is still in the flat, it was as cold as that. Yes, it’s my fault the fridge is still in the flat on moving out day and yes they should charge me for having furniture in there past my moving out date but how about show a bit of humanity towards someone who, despite only being in the flat for one term, is actually a good tenant. In the end we managed to sort the fridge out before the inspector arrived and I couldn’t hand my keys over to the guy quick enough. For my previous job I used to do a lot of work sorting out aerial and satellite systems for Quealy’s as a contractor and had heard a lot of horror stories from tenants which I always thought were exaggeration but having experienced it firsthand I now know the truth. Stay away. Also bear in mind that you have to pay to get your deposit back!! I hope posting this review doesn’t result in my deposit getting knocked back!
Poor handling of tenants
As tenants in a property managed by Quealy, we have been very let down constantly.
Whenever there have been any issues with the property, such as a leak in from the toilet, issues with electrics, issues with tiling etc, we have always been asked to attempt to fix it ourselves despite explaining that we are not qualified to handle these things, nor are we under any obligation to do so. Only after pestering multiple times will they start any process to get a qualified technician/ plumber etc out. We were left with a leaky toilet for weeks before anything was done limiting our ability to use it.
It's not even just that they are lazy and slow to respond or do anything about any issues, their staff are generally rude and condescending. We had particular problems with Caroline and Stuart Reynolds.
They also conduct an inspection every 3 months. We were at the property for 4 years, you would think after a certain amount of time that we would be trusted with the upkeep of the property. No letting agents I had ever rented through conducted so many inspections of a property. How can you have quiet enjoyment of the property with so many inspections?
We attempted to end our fixed tenancy early, and were informed there was a charge to "Cover the cost incurred by the landlord when setting up the tenancy for the fixed term" of over £200 including VAT... This cost was not highlighted in our tenancy agreement or in any documentation we have signed at all, nor was it present on their list of Tenants Fee's on the website. Under the consumer rights act 2015 they are required to display a complete list of fee's on their website and this was not included.
Not only this, but they attempted to take money from our deposit which were not valid.
We don't blame the landlord for any of this, I suspect the landlord doesn't really know how poorly their tenants are treated by Quealy.
They are crooks who treat tenants poorly, don't ever let through them.
My advice short and sharp steer clear…
My advice short and sharp steer clear at all costs. My daughter & partner viewed a two bedroom house in Sittingbourne Kent . Was shown around the property by a member of Quealy's.
They accepted the contract and duly paid their £ 1400 . After several weeks in there new abode they noticed damp coming into the bedroom , reported it to the letting agents & a specialist duly arrived with the prognosis that minimal insulation and airflow were the problem. This was given to Quealy's to sort (needless to say nothing happened)!
After six months notice was given , and my daughter hired a " rug doctor" carpet cleaner to do a deep clean before handing the property back.
On the day of handing the keys back & vacating the premises the same Quealy's operative arrived to do a closing inventory . She mentioned to my daughter as she was going around the property that it was now in better condition than when they originally moved in and signed the place off.
Three weeks later a letter was received saying that in excess of £ 700 deposit was being retained because of the mould / damp in the bedroom there was a hole in the net curtain , the carpets were dirty , scuff marks on the walls , leaves had been left in the garden (not taking into consideration it was February and windy) and a charge of over £80 deducted for ONE LIGHT BULB to be changed as it had blown.
So my advice if you feel you have to do business with this company , upon arrival take photographs of everything and document date stamp any anomalies or queries
Let down
I was accepted over 2 other applications for a let property and signed the tenancy agreement the day after being accepted. I had questions about the agreement which were not answered but due me really liking the place I signed the agreement. I was then called 2 days later to say the land lord had decided to go with another tenant. I was not given a reason why.
Issues with contract I had:
No information on length of contract e.g 6 months
Having to pay £150 at end of tenancy for checking the property
30 admin fee for a print of any documents
Not being able to change rent payment day to a day which is near my payday.
The experience really unset me as the flat was lovely and I feel let down for discussing the contract
