Don’t waste your money!
Don’t waste your money!
Purchased my first one just under a year ago as I have high blood pressure and the device syncing to Apple Health was a no brainer. The device constantly went over 240 pressure to which it hurt my arm and sent my blood pressure sky high. Customer services were really good in exchanging the device but after a few weeks this is now doing the same. I had my blood pressure done via a doctor then replicated with Qardio 40 point difference from this machine to the doctors with in the space of 20mins on my old squeeze machine virtually the same. There is obviously a design flaw with these devices and they are very misleading in the readings they produce. I for one would like to see how these are tested against guidelines as they clearly don’t work. As the title suggests don’t waste your money on this tech
Shockingly bad customer service
I had a QardioArm for several years and it stopped working last month. I immediately ordered a replacement and received a confirmation. That was the last I heard until I contacted Qardio by internet. It takes two enquiries to get a response. Finally was told that they would ship another one. That is held up in the Netherlands since 28 March. Customer service is shockingly bad! No telephone number to be found for them. I wish there was another similar product.
Extraordinary Medical Device Company
The design of the Qardio product line is excellent. There isn’t another line of healthcare products that can hold a candle to them. Then Qardio introduced the QardioArm 2 which should have been the centerpiece of there product-line but instead it has the capability of pulling the company down. I don’t know what it is but my QardioArm 2 gives very inaccurate readings. I have serious hypertension and accurate reading determine what meds I take and their strength. It's critical that I get accurate blood pressure readings. Now I don't know if Qardio needs to fix the device Firmware, software or come out with the QardioArm 3. What ever needs to be done, they need to do it quick before their reputation is completely gone. Don’t let this great product-line design end. Add extraordinary execution to the above sentence. I love your products, please fix the QardioArm 2!
Disappointing
I bought two scales, and two blood pressure monitors for my family and my dad. First they worked seamlessly for about a few months then the app started glitching and I could not connect to the BP monitor at all. App would freeze every time rendering the devices useless. In the end I had to throw away all Qardio devices.
Readings have been 20 points off
I've been using this product for over 2 years. It wasn't till recently that I found out that it was testing 20 points higher than it should be against a clinics machine. This means that I've been over medicating myself for high blood pressure for the past 2 years. I contacted Qardio, because my machine is out of warranty. They offered me a 20% off coupon. I am understandably not going to buy another device from them.
Having overmedicated I have been having so many different side effects from the high blood pressure medication I'm taking. I highly encourage you to go with another brand.
I bought a QardioArm last month.
I bought a QardioArm last month.
I'm using it and I can write that It's more amazing than I thought.
They have also a lot features for privacy care, personally I suggest to read the Privacy Policy before using it.
Obviously I suggest to read the manual (not only the quick start guide) because is very smooth and It helps to use at best Qardio Arm.
I saw before this purchase other smart blood pressure monitors, I'm really satified to have choose this one.
Customer service zero
Unfortunately I have to agree with many about the customer service - or complete lack thereof. No response whatsoever from them on questions or returns - and they proudly say they have a 60 day no quibble return guarantee - but they dont provide a return address and dont respond to emails. The products is actually ok - but zero customer service must mean zero business. Has to.
Dissapointed. Quardio is a good idea, BUT!
Dissapointed. Qardio is a good idea in theory. Neat with good data capture. BUT It has problems.
It has an on/off connection problem that makes it regularly inoperable. Sometimes a lot of battery replacement and fiddling will get it reactivated but now it has died and no amount of resetting will make it work or be recognised by the iphone. Pity I like the idea.
Worst medical product I’ve ever bought
Worst POS I’ve ever bought. Cuff fits poorly, very awkward to use and half the time will not connect or cuts off part way threw measurements . A total waste of money and a poorly engineered product
No customer Service
I have a BP monitor, and it seems to work OK, although I have no way to corroborate its readings. The BP cuff is a bit fiddly to put on and you have roll it up after use because this switches off the device and saves batteries. A simple manual switch would be better.
HOWEVER if you have a problem, you are on your own. They don’t answer emails, and don’t think customer service is necessary.
You send emails about faulty…
You send emails about faulty merchandise no one gets back to you , goods failed a couple of months after purchase . There is no local number you can call in Australia a very poor experience for what should be a good product
No Customer Service
The company and/or the Quardio app provides no way in which to change one's email login or password. I've tried repeatedly, but customer service seems non-existent but for a few FAQs, none of which address my question. My original email with which I registered with Quardio is now on the dark web, and I have ceased using it except for Quardio where I cannot change it. I am considering having Google delete that particular email and let the chips fall where they may.
I have both the Quardio BP machine and scales. The scales, Quardio Base, stopped operating with the Quardio app on my phone about two years ago.
Function over form is more important!
Came out of hospital after heart attack and bought the quardio arm to monitor BP. Less than two weeks later I have sent it back because it just fails to inflate and read my blood pressure. Really disappointed as I liked the wireless aspect and it was easy to use with good app support. In the case of a BP monitor function over form is more important. Think hard before you buy.
Qardio Arm Machine did not work
Qardio Arm Machine did not work. No meaningful help from support. Returns are to Netherlands with no postage paid. A very poor experience all round - avoid this company.
Why is it Impossible to speak with…
Why is it Impossible to speak with anyone in customer service. My blood pressure is HIGH just from the frustration of my BP Cuff not working properly. It used to work just fine, not it will not! Ugh! Very very port customer service. Especially for the cost of their devices.
Excellent, clinically accurate BP measurement
Had this three weeks now - super easy to set up (just touch the iPhone to it) and has delivered clinically accurate results (I have compared it to hospital readings).
I am using it for three readings per session twice a day and love the integration with Apple Health etc.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
My son gifted me a Qardio bp device a while back and when I received it I threw it in the draw as It looked gimmicky, it was 9 months till I took it out of the draw and started using it and not realising that it was faulty and the only way for it to work is to take the batteries out and starting it up but I had no idea at the time that the Bluetooth was not working. So I made shift by taking the cap on and off but over time the cap was so delicately made that it kept breaking so I would have to contact the customer service team who are bloody awful. I even sent an email to their PR and CEO who didn't respond. I would not purchase anything from them and realize there are better products and even better customer service than this awful company! Go to Omron !
The Qardio ip21 Bp & pulse reader is…
The Qardio ip21 Bp & pulse reader is the absolute worst measurement of blood taking and pulse readings that I have ever encountered this device is horrible don't buy. it it first gave me a blood pressure reading of 297 over 130 and the next time it was 260 over 188. then the next time it gave me a blood pressure reading of 170 over 101 with a pulse of 210. Ive never had high BP I have 7% body fat and workout exercises regularly and run 6 to 8 miles every 3 days.
I’m on my second and last Qardio Arm
I’m on my second and last Qardio Arm. Both units did their job well, apart from some Bluetooth link problems. But both developed a leak in the sleeve within less than 2 years – (just after the end of the warranty period). This means that the pump cannot bring the sleeve to the necessity pressure – it just keeps pumping. The first time, after some correspondence, I was offered a “loyal customer discount” of about 30% if I buy another unit. I did – and low and behold – got the same short lifetime out of the second unit. When I informed the company of the problem, they sent me an automated reply, suggesting that my arm may be too thick etc. So, off to a new product.
Clinically proven, Accurate, Reliable, Simple
My reason for making this review is that the vast majority of 1,2,3 star reviews here seem unbelievable in my experience, I can only assume the reviewers didn’t use the device according to instructions, or grossly bad luck which I doubt.
I’m a 66 years old UK male, I’m not a professional reviewer and have not been “invited” to review either, so I consider myself unbiased.
I purchased my Qardioarm on 27th November 2107 from Amazon, having already been to my GP who informed me I suffered high blood pressure and put me on temporary medication: I decided I needed my own quality device to track BP, and being an iPhone user wanted an EU & US clinically approved monitor compatible with IOS. 5 years on its still working as new.
Refer to the US National Library of National Institutes of Health report titles “ The QardioArm App in the Assessment of Blood Pressure and Heart Rate: Reliability and Validity Study” for a clinical assessment.
I have never had a need to contact Qardio customer service as the device & App have always worked flawlessly, so I can’t comment on that,
As may be seen I’ve had this Qardioarm for 5 ½ years now. It has never failed me and given accurate (compared to GP) results.
Pros:
- Consistent results
- Tips on how to use and wear the monitor, including videos
- The app can be set to give either single, double or triple readings; 2 or 3 readings then provide the average and more accurate than a single. You can set the time delay between readings.
- The app shows the numerical result, a chart showing where the BP sits in (Normal, Hypertension etc), History
- Integrates with the IOS (& Google) Health Apps
- Very long battery life (4 x AAA), almost a year on cheap Amazon batteries.
- Very compact, pocket sized: great if you’re travelling and need to monitor your BP.
Cons:
- In recent weeks it takes some time to automatically close the app after the BP recording session, this is a trivial issue
- No other issues
Would I recommend it again or would I buy it again?
- Yes, without a shadow of doubt.
