Terrible shipping

Terrible shipping
I had ordered from Public Rec years ago and they were great. My husband wanted to replace some of the pants he got 5+ years ago so we went to their site and ordered without looking into it because our past experience was so good. I placed the order on March 27th, they charged me 103.15 on March 27th, and as of April 11th, they haven't shipped anything. I reached out and got an automated reply saying I should check my shipping status via the website - I can already see through my shop app and their website a label has been created and that's all. Very frustrating.

Terrible customer service

There is no number to call to speak to a human and the chat has been offline for days now. I sent an email to support and their automated reply email promises that someone will be in touch soon, but that was on Wednesday and it's now Saturday.

I want this order cancelled as I needed the clothing for a trip to Europe. I paid extra for overnight delivery and it's been seven days since I placed my order and nothing has been delivered.

I just think their customer service is terrible. And I don't like the company.

I just think their customer service sucks. I couldn't get a straight answer on why my product didn't ship. I ordered it on Sunday and it's now Thursday and they've just now created a shipping label. I asked them to cancel it yesterday and instead of canceling my order they then decided to create a shipping label and send it to me. It seems like a scam. I ordered something from eBay in the meantime and I'm going to get it before I get this.

Return policy is horrible

Return policy is horrible! Worst I've ever experienced. I purchased Christmas gifts for my sons and need to return one item because of fit. I was told, after multiple attempts to get clarity, that I've returned too many items in the past and I've been marked as a no return customer. I only buy items once a year for my sons at Christmas and the only thing we've ever returned in the past was actually an exchange for size. Of course, they don't tell you when you place the order that you won't be able to return anything. There's no excuse for this ridiculous policy!

Pricing Change after check-out, Unresolved dispute

I made a return with Public Rec and accepted their “Shop Now Bonus,” which stated that my return credit plus the bonus would apply toward an exchange. The credit shown during checkout was $223.28, and the item total displayed to me was $180.30 including tax — meaning the order should have been fully covered.

However, after completing the exchange, my card was charged $72.30. When I contacted support, the explanation for the charge was based on different pricing than what was shown on my invoice or during checkout. The prices they referenced were never presented to me during the transaction.

I’ve filed complaints with the FTC, BBB, and Maryland Attorney General, and have disputed the charge with my bank. I’m still open to resolution if Public Rec chooses to correct this.

Posting this so others are aware and to encourage more transparency in how promotional credits and exchange pricing are applied.

DO NOT BUY from Public Rec if you value…

DO NOT BUY from Public Rec if you value your money! I ordered several pair of pants because of sizing discrepancies that they are known for. They would not respond to my multiple requests to return the items for over 3 days. Eventually they denied my request even though it was within 2 weeks of ordering and all items were within their original packaging and have never been worn. This seems to be a common practice of Public Rec.

Public Rec- Scam!!!!

Ordered shoes from this company and now ghosting me on my return. Stay away from this company, they are thieves!!!! Google other customer complaints. Won’t provide shipping labels for returns, when they get returns, they don’t refund your money. If you buy from this company prepare to be scammed. They’re the worst of the worst!!!!!

Shipping takes forever

First and foremost, their shipping takes forever. Even when you have tracking, it never arrives on the day it’s supposed to arrive. I’m guessing they print a shipping label that gives a date, but then they never get it out the door. You should plan on at least 10 business days to receive. Also, they never have anything in stock. For the most part, their clothes are good, but when you buy something for someone as a gift that doesn’t get here when expected ……thats it’s very frustrating

Ordered 3 pairs of pants and 10 days…

Ordered 3 pairs of pants and 10 days later they still have not shipped. I contacted customer service who are telling me they can’t cancel the order. Instead they are telling me I have to receive the pants and then return them. Instead the meantime they hit my credit card the same day I ordered. Based on other reviews, I am worried about ever returning the pants and getting a refund. I have already disputed the charge with my credit card company.

I wear these pants daily

So many people on this website just love to whine, complain and find anything to be upset about. interesting how the last 2 years are all 1 star and when the company opened was all 5 star/ 4star.

I've got a total of 4 pairs. 1 chino, and 3 All day every day. I purchased them all at different time periods of this company's growth. Each pair is different with pros/ cons

1st pair I got were the first generation navy blue pants. These ones fit the best out of all of them and the material was thicker. This was when public rec first launched and only had like 5 color options and it was only the ADED. No joggers chinos or anything.
Con: they had this silly seam on the side of the pant legs(outside part) that made it look like a track pant. Hard to see with the dark colors but it's there.
Pro:it's been about 5+years and they look as fresh as the day I bought them and this is going weeks ro months wearing these pants literally everywhere.

next was the deal maker workpant. They are airy and light which is good for summer and warm weather/ golfing walk in the park. Other than that, the pockets are ridiculously shallow. Con: I've got lean legs and these pants don't look great on slimmer guys. They are the least comfy. These are my least favorite pair. Brutal to wear in colder climates though.
Pro: despite not looking great on leaner legs they are effective at being cozy enough at a function where you need to be in dress like pants. They also pair surprisingly well with casual clothes like the ADED.

Next was the 2nd generation stone grey pants I purchased 2 years after I bought the first generation navy blue ones. Pro : Public rec did a redesign where they got rid of that silly seam on the pant sides and in my opinion was a great choice. The material was thick and the design is flawless perfect for all season and everyday where. They should have left it like this. I wear these pants the most.
Con: the fit for these were some how baggier than the previous 2 pairs? So I got them hemmed.

Finally are my recently purchased heather navy ADED pants.
These pants are like a combo of The stone grey and chinos pants. Has the same design as the stone grey, just slightly thinner material. lighter than the old school ADED but heavier than the chinos with waaaaay more stretch. Pro: These Pants are by far the coziest out all the pants. I ordered a smaller size(as the stone greys were slightly to big) Fits great. Con:wish they were a bit thicker like The previous pair. These almost feel like loose leggings.

I still give them 4 stars because Despite this I actually go months wearing these pants. I've worn these pants in almost every situation possible and have always looked on point. The versatility and durability can't be denied. From every kind of party, semi formal, casual, weekends, work meetings, lounging, sleeping, hiking, camping, travelling physical activity, working out, all 4 seasons of the year.

unless they get dirty, stinky,am doing heavy duty messy stuff or it's extremely hot outside,
I BASICALLY LIVE IN THESE PANTS.

Love at First Wear

I ordered Gamechanger Rec pants and they just arrived today. I tried them on, and not only do they look professional -- the supreme comfort is without flaw.
As an autistic individual, despite how pricey it is, I can confidently say these pants are sensory heaven!
I haven't seen for myself how durable the pants are, but I saw one Reddit user say that even after 5 years, they still look brand new. If this is true, then these are pants to purchase for the long haul!

If I could leave a negative star review I would

If I could leave a negative star review I would. I ordered three pairs of their joggers. At first I thought the quality was good but however I realized that the three pairs of the same jogger, just in different colors had a completely different feel when worn. One was way softer and comfortable while the others were quite stiff. I figured they would soften up over time but haven’t. I recently noticed the zipper pocket inside the left pocket has started to fall apart as it’s not sewn in but glued. Mind you they’ve been worn less than a dozen times and only wash about 8-9 times. I contacted their customer support and the offered 20 percent discount on a new order. I will never recommend anyone purchase from them let alone order more products that will just fall apart. Stay away and order from their competitors. You’ll get much better quality at the same price.
