DECEPTIVE INFORMATION - Promised refund, then declared "No-Show" - I have proof!
I am extremely disappointed and feel cheated by MyTrip (Etraveli Group). My Etihad flight for Dec 10, 2025, was cancelled by the airline. I spent over 24 hours trying to resolve this via MyTrip’s chat.
The MyTrip agent explicitly told me, just two hours before the alternative flight on Dec 9, that I could cancel the flight and explicitly GUARANTEED that I would receive a full refund and would NOT be marked as a "No-Show." I asked multiple times to be sure, and the agent reassured me every time. I have all the screenshots of this conversation as evidence.
Then after 20days they claiming I was a "No-Show." This is a complete lie and a result of the false information provided by their own staff. Because of their incompetence, I had to pay for extra hotel nights and buy a completely new flight out of my own pocket.
After talking with the chat more than 20times, they admited it was an operator mistake and they would refund me. Past more 70days after they admit that, i still was no refunded and every time I try the chat they say i have to be patient, i have to be patient and 90days had gone and no money!
This is professional negligence and a breach of consumer rights. I have already filed a complaint with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and will be starting a Small Claims Procedure in Europe if this is not resolved immediately.
