There is no Wifi in the commen areas.
There is no Wifi in the common area and the snack automat in there is very noisy. Every thing else is perfect! :)

Absolutely overpriced, loud and in part condescending management

It is a very decent place to leave. Nice terraza and friendly environment.
It would be good to make clear that on top of the rent we pay utilities, only part of it is included, in my case is 500 dkk for heating water bill. I pay another 350 for electricity direct to the company. Also 300 dkk on wi fi . so it is around 1200 dkk on top of the rent.
I would also like to know more about what happens with wear and tear of the laminar floor and kitchen. We are extremly careful but still has little scratches, I hope we are not left without all of our deposit at departure.
Finally, new apartments come without light fittings, curtains rails and shower curtain fittings. I have spent 3000 dkk on material and a elctrician to put one in the bedroom, another in the living room, and the shower curtain.
In my opinion there is not enough space on the comunal freezer, since the apartments are not provided with a freezer only a fridge. Freezer was out of order at lest twice, we lost our food.
There is only one comunal oven, again the apartments have no oven, therefore you have to plan very well when you want to use it since it gets busy at weekends.
Ahh we also pay for laundry 15 dkk per go and the tumble drier is broken sommetimes.

It is expensive, but they dont scam you contract is fair and they follow the law. It did what it was supposed to do: provide me with living space for myself, rooms are as advertised, administration is ok.

Within this review I participate in a lottery for some tickets, but to be honest I am not writing because of that.
I am writing because I am happy to live here. I like my flat and the area of Copenhagen. Of course the rent is high and in periods can be difficult to pay, but that is the situation in CPH these years. You are responsible for maintenance of the basic things in your own apartment, but that is not uncommon either.
I love the rooftop terrace! Love that there is a free gym, even though it is old equipment, it works!
What could be better?
The cleaning if the common areas could be twice a week, and not just once.
When equipment break in the gym, it could be replaced quicker.
Smoking on and inside Prostehuset could be observed more or tried prevented more.
Overall the apartments and the administration is very good!

I have been living in Provstehuset for more than one year now.
Here few points about my experience in this place so far:
PROS:
- The place I was given was clean, and fully renovated. The estimated cost of renovation after moving out is high but clearly stated in your contract. In exchange, when you move in, you should expect to find your room as new.
- I really like that the building is well insulated. Last year, I barely needed to switch on the heating in winter, as my apartment was always warm.
- Here I pay less compared to what I used to pay for my previous one-room apartment. Also, every year, they ricalculate your water-heat consumption and so far I have only got money back, possibly because I almost do not need to use the heating.
- I think that the rooms are well insulated against the noise. Sometimes people have parties in the basement and, unless they turn on the music at "disco" volume, I do not hear any sound. I also do not hear any sound from the street (I am in the ST floor). However, few times per year, somebody will throw a noisy party and in that case if your room is above the basement the basses will litterally make your floor tremble.
- The gym and laundry are nice and well equipped
CONS:
- The ventilation system is not great. If there are people smoking on the roof or cooking something smelly, then the smell will enter in your room, unless you are fast enough to close the ventilation system on time.
- The maintenance of the common kitchen and its equippment needs to be improved.
So, in summary, I have had a positive experience here. If you want a cozy new room for yourself, Provstehuset is a good choice.

My experience with Provstehuset:
Apartment:
If you are fine with staying in a fairly small room, I can recommend Provstehuset. The rooms are freshly renovated, look modern and so far, I had no problems with water/heater/electricity. However, the rooms are almost unfurnished which can be inconvenient if you are coming from abroad and/or are only staying for a couple of months. Also it would have been nice, if some sort of rack for curtains would have been pre-installed.
Facilities:
I really like that we have a roof terrace and a large common area. I also find the storage possibilities and bicycle stands in the basement useful. It could be nice if the kitchen in the common area was better equipped so you don't have to carry everything from your apartment to the basement when you cook there.
People:
I met some really nice people living here and we are having regular social events. Unfortunately, I also heard about some people’s laundry not being treated nicely and some nights parties can be noisy. I guess there are people of all kinds living here – like everywhere else.
Administration:
It is really convenient that the administration is located within the building in case of any issues. I can also report that my e-mails are answered quickly. However, sometimes it can take a while till things get fixed (e.g. washing machines, cleaning out of the freezer).
Overall, I enjoy staying at Provstehuset.

Don't move here! The prices are insane for what you are getting! The rooms are small and the administration crooked. I had to pay over 5000kr for renovation when I moved out after a year. The thing is you are not even allowed to renovate anything yourself.... That is insane!!! Now they are trying to get better reviews on Trustpilot by buying them!!! I just got a mail that if you leave a review on Trustpilot you might win a cinema ticket for 2... F that! How about changing some of the stuff people complain about and stop using poor students like freaking ATM machines!!! So if you see some positive reviews don't believe it, bought and fake. The whole building and the whole company SUCKS!!!
