Scam company Profitassist
The company promises big and unbelievable earnings from investments in Bitcoins.
Profitassist has a domain name (*io) from the Indian Ocean Territory. There is no address to be seen in Europe. The terms and conditions consist of 12 pages and say among other things that these terms can be changed at will by Profitassist by announcement only on their home page. Profitassist.io's German bank connection, Solaris Bank gets a consistently negative evaluation on Trustpilot with words like "scam", "unseriös", "Finger weg". On YouTube on finds videos that describe and criticize Profitassist and similar scams.
Unfortunately, my wife, E. Roger, was not careful. She logged in and invested the minimum amount of 250€ from her German Postbank account DE** ..**1604 the 17.2.21. She was given a password and was asked to submit a copy of her passport and permission to stay in German (we are both not from Germany, I have lived here 12 years as an EU-citizen, she has all the necessary permissions).
Already, the 8.3.21 Profitassist.io reported (in, I guess, a false presentation) that her account held 8,506€ (26.3.21 28,962€!!!) Happy and a little skeptical she asked to get some of that beautiful cash. Now the problems and threats from them started, first from a Garcia Alfonso: Profitassist.io threatened her that as she was not legal in Germany (which she is), she could not get them (+442033185213, does not respond anymore from UK). Later she was told that she had to pay a tax on the earnings, 3.000€, before they could release the money. It would be illegal on their side to send her the money without paying them the said tax. Happily, she did not send them. She told them to stop. Now we are here to warn others.
