Australian agencies handle a lot of personal information: rental applications, open home sign-in sheets, tenancy database checks, identity documents, and online enquiries. The Privacy Act 1988 and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles apply to how that information is collected, stored, used and destroyed. Most agencies are expected to work this out for themselves, and generic online policy generators are not written for how an agency actually operates. The kit provides three core documents reviewed by an Australian solicitor: a privacy policy, APP 5 collection notices, and a data-breach response plan. Supporting templates covering retention and destruction, access requests and complaints handling are drafted in house and are being put through the same review. Every document is written in plain English with guidance built in, so you tailor it step by step rather than drafting from a blank page. There is also a free two-minute self-audit. It asks eight plain-English questions mapped to the Australian Privacy Principles, gives a readiness score, and names the specific gaps. AML/CTF reforms reach real estate from 1 July 2026 and automated-decision disclosure obligations begin in December 2026.
