Praise for lettings

Staff are friendly and approachable and efficient, we thank Jill for the constant back and forth in emails on my part and to her for her assistance in securing the letting that we wanted.

Damage to property facade

Please avoid using this company. Put a for sale sign up after the purchase of the property was agreed. Once sale had gone through removed the sign and left damage to the cement render. Despite phone calls to the Biddulph office they refused to take any responsibility for the damage.

Very poor service

First time renting despite being a homeowner for over 26 yrs. Due to a work move and the delayed sale of our own house we were backed into a corner trying to find a rental that could accommodate us and all our belongings while we moved house. The experience we had from Priory, Biddulph branch was disappointing to say the least.
By the time we moved out there was a string of unresolved maintenance issues they still hadn’t fixed including a leaking shower into the kitchen below, leaking toilet and an air conditioning unit hanging off the wall.
They made me make a 450 mile round trip to sign paperwork on a Friday because they couldn’t find anyone else in the office capable of overseeing it on a Saturday morning,
The final icing on the cake, it took them two weeks to approve the return of our deposit, their excuse, no one had had time to do an inspection despite the fact that their office is less than two minutes walk from the property.

Matt was a bully throughout the process, consistent threatening emails. Phone calls sometimes twice a day. To me and my wife while we’re both working putting blame on us during the process. Even reducing her to tears on the phone. A nasty man and a nasty company.

Only applied for a house viewing where lady who never said hers name rang me back and made me feel useless. First question she asked or im employed and where do I live. Then she asked or I got guarantor. Where I asked why would I need one she said otherwise they don't know I can pay rent... Seriously??? U can ask me for a guarantor only if I don't pass my check. U have no information not about my earnings none of my references not of my history. She made me feel like there is something wrong with me and I can't have roof because I said I'm not willing to have guarantor. Absolutely disgusting attitude

Unprofessional, incompetent and deceitful...a disgrace! Avoid!

My wife and I endured a torrid time at the hands of the Stoke-on-Trent Tunstall Branch of 'Priory Property Services'. From the very beginning Matt Heathcote sent us persistant emails which were pressurising, unsettling, mischievous, threatening and accusatory, all defined and experienced as 'aggressive behaviour' in The Property Ombudsman's Code of Practice. He attempted to pressure us into using his associated services, and to speed up the deal quicker than acceptable, even blaming us for holding up the deal when it was the vendors who had not sent the contract.

Paula Heathcote, supposedly the one in charge, was useless. She did not provide us with a proper Complaints Procedure, threatened us before we put in the complaint, and then declared that she would not deal with the complaint. This was hardly surprising, seeing as they are the only agents in the area who do not invite feedback/complaints on their website. We have submitted the complaint directly to The Property Ombudsman.

One star is too kind for this bunch of cowboys.
