Gratuity greed

Recently visited the store in LAX Tom Bradley departures on return to UK and wanted to use up my last $60 in cash to buy sandwiches and drinks. But was totally ignored by the staff who were more interested in taking card sales and specifically pointing out to customers the gratuity steps. Left sandwiches by till and will NEVER use Pret again!

Heathrow airport Terminal 3

Heathrow airport Terminal 3, over priced food and the coffee is watered down and tastes horrible. Rude staff especially at their store next to gate 331.
Twice I have experience this at your store so as a airport worker I will never spend my money in your stores again.

I have always liked Pret but …..

I have always liked Pret, but todays experience in Milton Keynes was not good. Cheese and ham toastie was so dry (crusts inedible in part) I nearly took it back to the counter to complain but couldn’t face the stress of it. Coffee was OK but not hot enough. I went in at 3.15pm and it felt as if things had been left on the shelves far too long. Worse, there was a lot of rubbish uncleared from tables, mess on the floor and a few small flies persistently trying to land on my food. Pret has always been my first choice for a light lunch but after today I’ll be looking elsewhere. What on earth has happened?

I would recommend Pret over others

I would recommend Pret over other sandwich shops because their offerings are organic, and you can taste the difference. Even their coffees taste smoother and leave no bitter aftertaste. Their staff are also always helpful - even when I'm in a rush.

Pret’s Systemic Racist and Rude Culture

Does anyone feel the same about Pret nowadays?

In the last 2 months I’ve made 4 complaints 2 of which was stock running out half way through the day.

My most serious complaint about a racist member of staff towards me at the Bow Lane branch in London was replied with a £15 Pret card saying the area manager would look into it! I followed this up to see what had been done and a guy called Hisham from the Pret CS team replied saying it’s been dealt with as we’ve sent you £15 !!!

A totally rude member of staff at the Marsham street branch was reported recently and again the reply was an area manager will look into it. I took a picture of the rude idiot and Pret didn’t even want to see it or ask for a description of the member of staff.

It seems that Pret runs a systemic culture of racist and rude staff and have absolutely no plan to fix it. Instead they’ll send you a one off £15 voucher hoping that you shut up and put up with racism and rudeness.

The CS team are uncaring, totally blasé to customers complaints and just think fobbing you off with a cheap Pret card is the way to deal with serious cultural issues within their organisation.

Baguettes are brilliant

Baguettes are brilliant. Really very good, but the calories are far too high, and the price is ridiculous. If they fix that, I will be a regular customer.

Rude Assistant Manager who thinks its ok to serve coffee with pre-made shots

Just visited the local Pret near my workplace.
I ordered my usual. I saw a row of premade shots of coffee. Anyone that knows about coffee will know once a shot is poured it starts to loose its flavour and becomes bitter. Before the barista made my coffee I made a simple request and asked for a fresh shot. The assistant manager who I have encountered before knows that I always ask for a fresh shot.

He decides to pour one that has already been made. I ask the barista at the till if she could kindly ask him to make mine with a fresh one. She tells him and he becomes argumentative and whilst talking does not acknowledge me and talks away from me. He continues with arrogance and the staff (except one) join in and say 'If you don't like it go somewhere else'?! Anyone that has worked in a customer-facing role would know you do not speak to customers like that. Over just one simple request which is standard practice was not followed.

Is this the ethos Pret wants to portray?

Never again

Tried in Bournemouth. Couldn’t understand my order. They don’t know how to toast a toasted sandwich properly. The bread was still flaccid. The cheese was of such low quality it became like melted butter at even the lowest heat. There was no plate. No cup. No knife, just a wooden fork. How do you cut a sandwich with that. Even Costa can do all that! Is it really that difficult? Yuk! Never again.

Pret Subscription - No Brainer

Organic coffee is an absolute winner. Tastes so much better than a standard Starbucks or Costa coffee I find. Have been a user of the pret subscription the last few months and even with the price increasing from £20 to £25, I still believe this is a fantastic deal allowing you to get up to 5 coffees per day. Absolutely rubbish customer service!

Absolutely rubbish customer service!

I've tried 3-4 times to get through to someone who even cares in the slightest, and instead there absolutely careless useless customer service reply with very short blunt sentences, not acknowledging anything you put in your email to them.

Even the person on the phone I spoke to at length didn't have a clue, and did not seem to care in the slightest.

I buy about 3-4 coffee's per day, plus two meals, so I signed up for the free month trial on the app, only to be charged £25 instantly, then due to be billed again end of the month, with no free trial. Money isn't an issue, it's the principle of false advertising that bothered me. All I wanted was someone to acknowledge the mistake, but no one there cares in the slightest. They were all too quick to refund me the £25, despite me saying I was happy to stay with them, if they just honoured what they originally advertised. It's the principle of it.

I must spend £20-£30 daily in there, however now I will be purposely avoiding the place for life, and I recommend others do the same. I will never be going there again in the future. I will instead buy a coffee subscription somewhere else, whatever the cost. Again money wasn't the issue, it was the principle of it, and most importantly how absolutely rubbish they were at acknowleging their mistake, and how they didn't care in the slightest about potentially keeping a regular customer. That was the part that really got me, the fact I was handing them on a plate the fact I would gladly continue to be a cusotmer if they just acknowledged their mistake and someone would get back to me. But they were not interested in the slightest.

If you are reading this, I strongly recommend you go elsewhere and AVOID PRET A MANAGER.

NORTHBROOOK ST..NEWBURY
Been going there since Dec 2021 after moving here fromLondon.Always very friendly and smiley staff.I am not a regular regular (maybe 3 times a week) but most of the staff know I like a Flat White half filled!! I went in yesterday 31.03.22 and the lovely young lady with black glasses gave me a complimentary coffee.I was very pleasantly surprised and it made my day.My last job was as a Customer Service Advisor in Harrods where I worked for 6 years.I used to go above and beyond for our customers and your staff have demonstrated that they do this. They are true brand ambassadors for your brand. A big thank you!!!!

Another experience in London when they…

Another experience in London when they do not have the drink I would like - this time no decaf.
Staff very friendly and apologetic but central management/ordering is definitely lacking.
I have a subscription and have emailed Pret three times about poor choice. No one has bothered to respond.

I love their coffee subscription

I have to say I love their coffee subscription and fill my boots with it whenever I'm out. Unlike a lot of the reviews here I don't find the staff rude. Maybe rushed sometimes but not rude. Some stores are definitely nicer than others but overall it's a fairly reliable and consistent experience. The subscription model removes the only issue I've ever had with Pret which is the high prices of their products. You can definitely get better coffee elsewhere on the High Street but for the value you get from the subscription when you are a bit of a coffee addict like me then you put it all together and it's definitely worth a solid 4 stars.

Pret shows no respect

I received poor customer service from Pret staff; they were in my opinion rude, aggressive and impolite, poor quality product.
I informed Pret customer service about this; they said that would forward it to the store in question. and I was informed that they would contact me. It has been over four weeks no contact or acknowledgment has been received from them.
I have cancelled my Pret subscription. I am going to their competitors. Thank you

Nil points for the service ABOMBINALY SLOW & RUDE

Nil points for the service these days. All of the Pret-a-Mangers in Stratford Westfield only have a single till open (of several) so the service is ABOMBINALY SLOW and the staff RUDE beyond belief when you point out they should have all the tills open and serve their customers.
There's no point paying £20 a month if you can't actually get a coffee. My subscription is cancelled.
(The mini-store by the Jubilee Line inside Statford Station is still OK).
