A message to all fellow supply teachers and support staff out there… if you’re not currently with Premier Teachers then, quite simply, you’re missing out. I first did some supply work through this agency back in 2017, and the outstanding service I received from Mike and his staff made it an obvious choice for me to return to them when I began to look for work again at the start of 2023. The registration process was seamless and work was secured in no time. I have worked for other agencies, but they have fallen short when it comes to providing a personal service, listening to my requirements and securing the correct level of pay. No matter who I have dealt with at Premier Teachers, the approach has always been professional, prompt and flexible.
Working with this agency is plain sailing and I have always encouraged other teachers and support staff to reach out to them for work. It’s very common to hear supply staff having a not-so-pleasant time of things with other agencies – I’ve been in their shoes – but, it doesn’t have to be that way. The job is tough enough, so it’s important to have an agency that cares enough to listen to and understand your needs and that they’re on your side. Mike, Tracey and Jill certainly are. They have always made every effort to find the best fit for my requirements and collaborated effectively with schools to secure positions to suit my availability and preferences. I have no doubt that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make this happen, yet, from my point of view, the process is flawless and stress-free. They’re not the type of agency that takes offence if you can’t manage to do the role they offer, they just keep plugging away until something suits you; if it’s not going to work for you, then that’s fine. The agency is always prompt to respond to queries and I have found Juliana extremely helpful regarding timesheets, pay etc. In short, whatever has needed addressing – be it documentation to have you cleared for work, safeguarding training if you need a current certificate or keeping you informed as to where things are at with negotiating a role – Premier Teachers ticks all the boxes. By the way, the schools that I’ve been to rate Premier Teachers very highly too.
I have no hesitation in recommending this agency and have every confidence that they will find me another suitable role when the time comes. If you are looking for work now, or in the future, I would suggest contacting Premier Teachers; whether they have a suitable role advertised or not, they are pro-active and will reach out to schools to try to find what you are looking for. Be direct about what you want – they are very straightforward and genuinely care that you are satisfied with their service. They will certainly make it their mission to secure the right role for you. Let’s face it, teachers/support staff choose to do supply work for a variety of unique reasons. So, may I suggest that if your agency is falling short in any way (even if it isn’t!), contact Mike and his team. You’d be crazy not to. Even if you end up with the same rate of pay, you’ll receive superior service – and Jill will brighten up your day with her cheery chats! They are a good-humoured, totally professional bunch!
