I wouldn't even give this charter…
I wouldn't even give this charter school 1 star but unfortunately I had to in order to post my review! Our first time trying a charter school over public led to the WORST experience for myself and my daughter. First off, more than likely they will lie to you on the tour like they did to me to increase the number of students for enrollment purposes. I was promised small classroom sizes during the initial tour and Teacher Assistants to assist with instruction. Instead my daughter was dealing with crowded classrooms with 28 or more students and no help. She couldn't ask the Teachers for help because they were too overwhelmed and busy yelling at the students to be quiet. Their grading system is horrible! Your child can be at an A on Monday and then a F by Wednesday with NO communication from the Teacher because they "don't have time to reach out to parents they teach over 70 students" is exactly what was told to me. They will tell you to rely on the parent portal which doesn't even include all of the graded assignments not to mention not all parents have access to a computer or smartphone. They will either refuse conferences or push you off for weeks, until "they have the time to meet with you". Maybe it's because the Teachers aren't licensed is why they are unprofessional and don't care about each student learning and being successful. The Principal will more than likely ignore your concerns if you reach out to her so you can forget speaking with admin. I would not advise this charter school to ANY parent unless you want your child to be left behind to fail!
