Ultra high prices. Price beyond reasonable. I feel terrible about it. I will not use these folks again.

They ONLY fix sectional doors.

The motor shaft on the opener failed. Their tech came out and saw that I had a 1 piece, solid door. He offered to replace door, motor, everything, but would not JUST replace the motor. He told me his BOSS won't allow them to work on solid garage doors due to warranty concerns. (BAIT and SWITCH😝). I went to HOME DEPOT and used their installers for under $500, INCLUDING the new motor.

Women Beware

I received a call from the Precision technician letting me know he was at my home.
When he called I was 1 block from my house. Jaylen, the technician asked me if he
could park in my driveway. As I was driving to my home I could see he was already in
my driveway. I told him yes. He walked into the garage, lifted the garage door about
1/3 of the way up and said my springs were bad. The springs should be able to hold the
door up by itself at this point which was not happening. He then told me that since my
springs are bad the motor should be replaced. He then asked for a fan and bottled
water. I asked him for pricing and told him I don’t have bottled water. I did turn the fan
on in the garage. I did get him a glass of ice water. He went to his truck and a few
minutes later wanted to know if he could come into my home instead of discussing
pricing on the back porch. He said he was hot. The pricing for the springs and motor
were approximately $2,000. I told him that he didn’t even get up on the ladder to look at
the springs or the motor so how does he know they are bad. He also did not bother to
look at the sensors. The company I work for installs and repairs dock doors. I called
my boss/owner to ask him if this pricing was reasonable. He told me definitely not and
they are way over priced. The technician came down $50 on pricing but that was it. I
told him no thanks and paid him the service call fee. I had parked across the street so
he could get in/out of my driveway. When I told him no thanks and I started walking to
my car and told him where I was going, he asked me if I wanted him to move his truck.
The lack of common sense, over pricing – no – gouging, lack of preparation as far not
bringing his own fan and drinks is not conducive to a good customer relationship as far
as I am concerned. I used Precision in the past and it was a good experience. Not any
more. My boss had his service manager come to my home and made an adjustment on
the motor for up and down movement and the door is working properly. Bad move on
Precision’s part. No recommendation and I will make it a point to tell everyone about this. I don’t know if this just target women but it does look like there are a few reviews from men who have been scammed with their pricing and unethical tactics.

I would NOT recommend this company

I would NOT recommend this company. They sent someone out for a $75 charge.
I told them on the phone that we had a broken spring. The lady said the charge was $334 - no matter what size door it was.
HAH! What a joke... the price he gave us was $1554.
We had to waste $75. We are seniors on S.S.
We had a friend recommend someone and they charge us $375... out the door!!

Reasonable price and fast service

I used the chat on their website to easily set up an appointment the next morning (I set it up the previous evening). Jake, the tech, showed up early and was able to fix our door within 20 minutes. Overall, a good experience. They gave us a price before starting the work and everyone who I interacted with was professional. I will definitely be calling Precision Door for any future garage door issues.

Timely and professional service time after time

I have used Precision Door Service for a number of years to service my garage door, and when that door aged out, to replace frame, motor, controllers for my present garage door. Most recently, I needed help on a wall-mounted remote, and the technician (Jamal) arrived the next day on time and did trouble-shooting, and replaced the unit (under guarantee). He also gave maintenance advice. Besides Jamal, who has responded several times with excellent results, I have been helped by other technicians. All technicians and office staff are tops with regard to professionalism, depth of knowledge of their product, and courtesy. I highly recommend Precision Door Service.

Taking Advantage of Seniors

Got a ballpark quote over the phone for a new door opener keypad and frequency change because someone in our neighborhood ended up on the same frequency as us. After the tech did the job, he tried to bill me twice what I was quoted. I said I wasn't paying that and he said we'll just make it right then and bill you what you were told. He then handed me a quote for $4,750 in other "repairs" that needed to be done on our 7 year old garage doors. For example, he said we needed new torsion springs, instead of simply adjusting them. We live in The Villages, FL, which is the largest retirement community in the United States. They're simply trying to take advantage of senior citizens.

Disappointed to say the least with your service on a 5 year old garage door opener that you sold new. The $65.00 for a fifteen min. service charge for something you don't stock parts should have been explained when making the appointment for service. The original cost of the opener was $500.00 including installation, your quote of $400.00 and 3 weeks to replace a blown circuit board seemed high but the $900.00 replacement was a no-brainer when compared to your competitor's $200.00 to repair or $500.00 replacement both within a week quote.
Good luck with your business your going to need it at this rate

Brady Decker

Brady Decker, my Precision Door technician was outstanding. I went to open the garage door in the morning and noticed the spring was broke!
I had plans for the day, so a friend picked me up, Brady was able to come by my house at 4:00 pm which worked out well for me, he did a great job and I am back in business with what seems like a brand new door! Thanks Brady!

Noisy door

I’ve been having a problem with my door since July 2024. Basically just very noisy and a couple texts said come out and tweaked it the best they could, but the noise was still there. Finally a technician named Jim came out twice and he got it so that is absolutely quiet. He did a very good job. No complaints in anyway I would strongly recommen Precision garage doors~ John Calabrese

Garage Door

Electric Garage door that had been installed by another KC company. We had not been pleased since day 1 with the way it worked. Called Precision Door of KC to come out. Office staff Erin & Lisa very helpful with great phone etiquette. Technician Daray was very knowledgeable. Explained everything that had been done wrong with install. Fixed all the problems and now have the door working 100% better. Appreciate his honesty and hard work.

Way overpriced!!!!

Bobby was an excellent technician! He was patient and thorough with the rebuild of the garage door parts. Bobby explained why more than just the springs needed replacement. The issue that I have is with the final price. I felt like I had to get ALL of the work done. There was no option given to me. That said, I guess I could have spent time getting additional estimates, and looking back I should have, but Precision was there and I authorized the work. After review of the final invoice, I was taken back as to how many items are between $200 and $300. And for parts that, after looking them up on line, were 1/2 the price. Then there was the garage door opener that cost $1,000! On line, it was less than 1/2 that amount, and the on-line prices also included the bar that the opener is attached to. Bobby said that, and the belt, were ok. After spending $3,500 because I had a broken spring, I would think I would have been offered a battery back-up opener.
I feel that I have been ripped off. I also requested a call from the owner, which has not happened. I am thinking of disputing part of the charges and show what the parts should have cost with a little internet research.

The service was great but too expensive

The service was great. Awesome techinician but the price was tooooooo expensive. I should have shopped around with other providers because on replacing the spring, shaft, and 3 bearing it came out $965. I looked at parts alone afterwards and it would have been under $200 so the the price was ridiculous and outrageous

I had an extremely disappointing and…

I had an extremely disappointing and frankly infuriating experience with Precision Garage Door of Southeast Michigan (also known as FB DOOR LLC). I contacted them for what should have been a routine spring replacement on my garage door. Their technician, Daniel Duvall, arrived and clearly noticed that I had two newer vehicles in the garage and that I was in a hurry to leave for an important meeting. I firmly believe this influenced what I now know was an outrageously inflated price.

I was told the repair would take an hour and was quoted $1,260. Desperate to get my cars out, I agreed—only to watch the technician finish the job in about 20 minutes. I later did my homework and found that this type of repair typically costs less than half of what I was charged.

This felt like a textbook case of taking advantage of someone under pressure. There's no justification for this level of overcharging, and it's extremely disappointing to see a company operate this way.

The resident agent listed for this business is Stephen T. Freitas, and if this is the standard for how they conduct business, I strongly urge others to stay far away. There are plenty of honest garage door services out there who won't exploit your situation or insult your intelligence with predatory pricing.

I will never use Precision Garage Door again, and I do not recommend them under any circumstances.

Very very overpriced $$$$

Our garage door spring broke on the right side. We stated that on phone before the visit. When technician arrived we were told we needed both springs replaced and the drums. After a “ military discount” and the technician saying he would “ waive labor charge” the cost was $860.
He was here for one hour I looked at some similar parts online. Costs of parts would be 1/4 of that. They are very very $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Stay way clear!!!!!!
