Best training program ever
Best training program ever. I am the strongest and in best shape of my life at 47 years old. Everything in the programming...movements, weights, rep scheme, frequency, etc just makes sense and you can see the gains. I have tried them all from the beginning...Field Strong, Grindstone, Johnnie WOD, Jacked Street with some Johnnie BOD thrown in from time to time. If you want results...this is it!!!
The Best
Excellent training. I've trained fro 30+ years and this is the best programming I have ever had.
Best training on this round spinning ball called Earth
Best training in the world. I was turned on to Power Athlete by one of my high school coaches and earned a scholarship with it. Now that I am done with college and working in corporate America, I use Power Athlete to train for my latest pursuit, Jiu Jitsu. Power Athlete Radio has been a constant over the years and has always provided excellent information. I can't thank the crew enough for their impact.
Smart work. Lots of room to buy in on your own.
Been a long time follower. Had dalliances in other programs and systems and methodologies. I'm loyal for 10+ years for a reason. The basics are all there for you to take what you want. The best part, I think, is that in each workout there's opportunity for you to make sure you're bought in. There's always some sort of gut-check-able moment. You have to be VERY honest with yourself about what you're capable of doing vs what you want. Once you find the path that works best for you (Bedrock, Field Strong, Grindstone, Jacked Street, etc) you WILL like what happens. PAHQ4L
Great programming in Grindstone
Great programming in Grindstone. The format of two mandatory days is perfect for me with a full time cattle ranch and martial arts training. John Welbourn and crew keep it interesting and I’m already seeing strength gains. Also like the Train Heroic app, which is a no-brainer tool for tracking progress and milestones.
Amazing programming
Amazing programming. If I had to make one request, it is that I would like to see even more of the why/rationale/purpose behind the programming. That stuff is very interesting.
Aussie Jacked Streeter
I have been a long time follower of PA Radio and always enjoyed John & Tex’s views on S&C.
I’m a 32 year old electrician/business owner and father of 2 girls and have trained in my garage solo for the past 6 years.
After doing CrossFit for 10 years and following CF Football back in the day, I decided my body would appreciate the change of pace and constant beat downs from daily metcons considering my field of work - I jumped on Jacked Street and haven’t looked back.
I noticed the benefits within 4 weeks.
Less aches and pains, no crappy joint issues and the hypertrophy work did wonders for a small supraspinatus tear.
I can’t recommend this program enough.
The programming is well thought out, intentional and provides a gnarly f**ken stimulus if you hit it right.
Best decision I made and I wish I had done it earlier.
You blokes are rockstars.
PS I had more F bombs in here but there was too many highlights flagging my profanity
S&C Rockstars
Been following since CFFB and PAHQ continues to get better every year. They thrive to make their programs as user friendly, engaged, and cutting edge.
Their education programs are phenomenal as well. 5+rockstars
Love Johnnie Wod
Love Johnnie Wod. Great strength programming combined with bust your a** quick burners at the end. Coming from initially a sports background with poorly programmed bodybuilding workouts, to then a powerlifting focus, followed by CrossFit, I wasn’t really satisfied - either too much fluff , or too strong and terrible shape or too fit but not strong enough. Jwod has been a fantastic middle ground in my opinion - strength and weight circuits for accessory + non boring cardio.
Only request would be if I could pay more for a JWOD+ that perhaps includes a prep component for every workout.
Without a doubt the most comprehensive…
Without a doubt the most comprehensive and well thought out training program for whatever you need. I’ve used countless other programs to prepare for my job in the military and power athlete is the high water mark. Can’t sing their praises enough.
I have always been “fit” in my 12 yrs…
I have always been “fit” in my 12 yrs in the military. Then I started HAMR and it’s taken me to a whole new level!
Field Strong dirt mover
Been with Power Athlete for about 4-5 years now. Been with Field Strong for the majority of the time. I have never felt stronger and more capable. And still progressing, getting stronger and more athletic. I'm 38 years old and a fireman. 100% the best athletic training i could do for my career, to be an asset to my team and keeps me very capable of doing anything else that is active outside of work.
another strong busy dude
As a Healthcare IT Director with 3 kids under the age of 12, an hour commute, and no less than 50 hours a week in the office, it was important for me to find something that kept me disciplined, entertained, and hard! Grindstone has been the perfect program. It checks all the boxes, including some I didn't even know where available to me. Plenty of heavy lifting and hypertrophy to make my traps and shoulders the biggest in the boardroom...all while eating breakfast and dinner with my family each day. Get amongst, it, ya'll!
I’ve done PA programming off and on…
I’ve done PA programming off and on through the years, and it always leaves me wanting more. I’ve competed in Olympic lifting and powerlifting, and I always used PA programs for my off season training because it provides such a comprehensive approach to training. There is a program for everyone, so I highly recommend giving them a try.
Nobody does it like Power Athlete
Nobody does it like Power Athlete. I’m a CSCS certified personal trainer who gets bored running my own programs, and I can tell you Power Athlete leaves no stone unturned. They have programs to fit whatever goal you have, and the user interface with Train Heroic is the best I’ve used for tracking workouts. I’ll be on a PA program until the end of time - it’s that good.
BE THE HAMMER
BE THE HAMMER
As a 49 year old electrician, been in new-construction since '89, I have a bit of wear and tear. Previous non-PAHQ templates or programs seemed to be internally focused-getting better at exercising itself ,which seemed to exacerbate problems and had very little carry over to my " on field performance".
Followed PAHQ 2009 CFFB days then Field Strong in 2015 when the program was hosted on PAHQ website. Hopped over to Jacked Street around January 2022.
These programs get better over time, I believe, due to user feedback and PAHQ's constant pursuit of excellence in posture, position, and performance.
Best I’ve found
I’ve tried out Field Strong, Jacked Street, HAMR, Third Monkey, and Grindstone over the years and have found each of the programs to be effective at doing what they are designed to do. I’m always drawn back to Field Strong because I feel the most strong and explosive on that program, and really enjoy both the day-specific prep work and movements programmed in conjunction with strength work. My biggest issue is that I feel like I’ve been drinking out of a firehose for the last handful of years with PA’s programming. Every time I think it would be interesting to check out a strength and condition program from somewhere else to change it up a bit I am disappointed with what I get in comparison to PA.
Community driven, focussed strength training
It’s the community that really drives the quality here. The effort put in by the trainers to deliver top level training content is only matched by the many dedicated followers you are training with.
As a home gym owner, I train alone. But I never feel I am alone with this Power Athlete family by my side.
The warmups and movement preparation is…
The warmups and movement preparation is humbling. However, the programmings made a big difference in my posture and I am less than a month in. Can’t wait to see where a few years of this goes.
Cherubs of Strength
I have had a long, arduous past with infantile weakness and general corpus underdevelopment. In many ways, I have been like the infamous Sisyphus and rolled my rock of secret squirrel programming to not only have it roll back down the hill; but crush me like an ant on the way. No more. Ever since resting in the ever supple PowerathleteHQ bosom, I’ve been carried to new heights by the cherubs of strength that are Mr’s John and Tex. Much like the great stoic philosopher Zeno once said, ‘Well-being is attained little by little..” and boy, do they provide the appropriate dosage daily on Jacked Street. I highly recommend sparing yourself years of toiling and despair as I have experienced, and relinquish your tenuous body over to be rebuilt and renewed for a greater purpose.
