Disgraceful

Disgraceful. Ordered stocking fillers in october, was told there would be a delay. Then in mid november I received an email saying they were doing all they could to deliver by xmas. I tried to contact them but phone never answered, and emails not answered. They should have had the decency to inform customers that they would not deliver by christmas so that alternatives could be arranged. Worse still, throughout the entire time they were bombarding me with automated emails promoting black friday and trying to get more orders, when they weren't even able to fulfill orders made a month earlier. Just shameful. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered on 20th November 22... same experience as everyone else, my order has not been dispatched, no communication other than the generic message. Can't get hold of anyone. I ordered last year with no issues. Terrible customer service...

I would give 0

I would give 0! Experience has been awful! Placed an order mid November, stocking fillers for the kids. It’s now the 21st December and still no delivery! It hadn’t even been shipped. I have emailed numerous times but only ever get the same computer reply, I want to cancel the order but there is no one to talk to. Absolutely fuming with their lack of communication.

Rubbish

Order finally arrived and half the items are missing. Have tried to get a refund but what a surprise no answer. So I’m left having to get last minute stocking fillers and out of pocket! Ridiculous that they rate themselves as 5stars, I wouldn’t bother with them.

This company is a disgrace - never order from them

This company is a disgrace! Phone number doesn’t work, automated replies to emails, no live chat and you can’t even submit query on their website. I can’t even access my account now.
I ordered 23rd November, still nothing! I’ve asked for a refund twice… nothing! Have a feeling I’ve lost my money too, please do not order from here.

Refund from 8/10/22

Placed my order on the 8th of October, waited a while, emailed just before Halloween and was made aware of their warehouse problems. They offered me a refund or a £10 voucher if I waited. Decided to wait because there was Christmas crafts in my order. Just had an email telling me they've cancelled and refunded orders.
I've ordered plenty of times before this and the service has been amazing! Hopefully they're ba k on form in the new year ready for Easter crafts

Same as all these other reviews. I ordered my kids Christmas stocking fillers on 3rd December and they still haven’t been dispatched.
I’ve tried calling, the message box, live chat doesn’t work, email, Facebook, instagram and I’m given the same automated message. Have not been able to speak to a real customer service representative and my kids have no stocking fillers for Christmas. It’s been a struggle this Christmas and I don’t have the money to replace these items. Don’t know what to do and would never use poundtoy again

I would leave 0 stars if that was a option. Shocking service, even worse communication and just ridiculous management. Ordered on 25th November. Nothing as arrived and as far as I can tell my order as not even been packed for dispatch. So no excuses possible like "sorry its royal mail or evri" shame on them for potentially ruining the Christmas of struggling families

It’s shocking how this company can…

It’s shocking how this company can still operate
I wish I read the reviews before I ordered.
No communication, I have asked for a refund still no communication. It’s a shame as it looks like a lot of children will be missing out for Christmas because of this company. They say 5 star on their website, I would disagree, they don’t even deserve the one star I have to leave.

Clearly I’m in the same boat as…

Clearly I’m in the same boat as everyone else. Absolutely gutted as I used this company last year & my ordered arrived and items were brilliant so thought I would do it again this year for stocking fillers. I’m on maternity leave so money is tight so I’m absolutely gutted I’ve now lost out on the stocking fillers for my little boy & my little girls first Christmas 💔 Absolutely heartbroken to say the least! I’m emailing daily. Can’t ring the number & the live chat won’t give you the option to speak to anyone! I’ve received an email this morning to say they still can’t guarantee a delivery before Christmas & have now given me the option to cancel and refund my order but they are still blaming the warehouse situation! I will not be using them again in future!

What a Sham

Such a shame.. no stocking fillers and no birthday party stuff! I was told, do not contact again unless you want to cancel your order made nearly 2months ago! Needless to say, they have completely ignored the cancellation request. They also told me that the problem was with the change of warehouse location! Either way.. no products and no refund.
Also fyi @trustpilot they claim to have 5star trust pilot reviews.. just another fib..

Absolutely awful!

Absolutely awful. Do not order from here! Ordered back in November and had nothing. No communication whatsoever from their end. Disgraceful considering they know full well people need these orders for Christmas.

Would leave no stars if I couldr

Would leave no stars if I could. I have used this company a few time over the years and never had an issue but I shall never be using them again. I placed an order on the 22/11 and I am still waiting just like everyone else. The communication and customer service is shocking. No way of getting hold of them and when u email u get an automated email back, the number you call always says full and the live chat is the same rubbish as the email service. Iv had to find the funds and the time to go and get more stocking fillers or my children won’t have any, as I’m clearing not gonna Receive the one from pound toy. AVOID now I have to try and get my money back. Will not be using again

Would give no stars if I could! I ordered as I always have from them items for Christmas Eve boxes back in October so I had plenty of time. It cost well over £50 for four kids, I have contacted three times, written on Facebook and still no products or a refund! It’s so sad that there is no honest communication when people are already struggling! I’m now without the items or my money and has to get more items from elsewhere! Not happy!!

HOW POUNDTOY STOLE CHRISTMAS

Ordered stocking fillers (from this website which specifically advertised them as stocking fillers) at the end of November. On the delivery confirmation there was a message about a warehouse move causing delays and that it might take 10 working days to dispatch the items but, despite this information coming a little later than was useful, I wasn’t worried because there was still almost a month before Christmas.

Scroll forward to 13 or so working days later (I figured I’d cut them some slack with RM striking etc) and I emailed to check that the items were due imminently as I’d actually not received even a despatch notification. It was only at this point that I received a copy and paste email response about regrettable delays and that they couldn’t give a delivery estimate but that they hoped to get things out in time for Christmas. It also told me not to get back in touch as they wouldn’t reply unless I was requesting a refund or had missing items (technically all my items were missing…)

I sent a query in reply asking how long a refund would take to process (no point getting a refund if the money wouldn’t be in the bank before Christmas because I had literally not a penny left to buy any more stocking fillers so, if refund wouldn’t process in time my only option was to hope for a Christmas miracle and pray the delivery arrived in time) I also wanted to know whether their 3-5 working day delivery method would be upgraded in light of the incredibly long delay in actually posting the parcels.

True to their word, they didn’t reply (technically I wasn’t asking for a refund - just trying to figure out whether a refund would redeem the disaster or make it worse - so I guess they felt they didn’t have to) until a week later - by which time it was far too late for the parcel to arrive even if it was despatched today and also far too late for the refund to hit my account in time to repurchase stocking fillers for my children.

Thankfully I have a generous mother who loves locally and stepped in to save the day - if that hadn’t happened I genuinely don’t know what I’d have done. Money is incredibly tight this year and I have literally budgeted down to the last £1 so that we can have gifts, Christmas lunch and stockings - it’s likely to be the last year my 8 year old believes n Christmas and this would have been a really sad ending to a magical time in his childhood. I think I’d genuinely have to have written some sort of a note saying he was really sorry but he left a bag of presents in the North Pole but they’d arrive within the next couple of days and then put the few bits I had bought separately into their stockings and hoped the kids weren’t a) suspicious or b) totally devastated.

I understand that delays happen but if you undertake a “major warehouse relocation” just before Christmas then MAYBE
a) be responsible enough not to take on so many orders that it takes you over a month to fulfil them
b) don’t advertise things as “stocking fillers” if you clearly already know there’s a high, high probability that anything bought after the third week in November won’t get there in time for this year’s stockings
c) tell your customers there may be a delay BEFORE THEY BUY not in the order confirmation email
d) when that delay looks like it’ll be topping out at 5+ weeks, KEEP THEM UPDATED in good time so they can make a decision in time
e) please don’t tell me that you have absolutely no way of giving a despatch estimate - that’s not how businesses work; if you have a backlog of 5+ weeks then be honest about that

I have ordered the bulk of our stocking fillers from this company for the past couple of years and will never do so again because it’s all very well things going okay when the going is good, but their customer service when things don’t go well is quite literally non-existent.

Top tip: telling your customers “we have too many emails: don’t contact us unless you want a refund” is NOT customer service

They are taking orders and not fulfilling them. 3 months and not even dispatched and won’t reply to any messages. Apparently they have gone bankrupt but are still taking orders but not sending them!

Avoid them they won’t supply or contact you and I don’t know how to get my money back !!!!
