Great product, better service

When I contracted Lyme disease, my pain tolerance took a massive hit and made many positions the pole pole physically unbearable. I've tried grippy clothing from a few brands, but this pole wrap is genuinely the first thing in years that has made training feel both safe and accessible to my current body/needs. I am over the moon to be back to one of my favourite sports. <3 What's more, there was an issue with my original order and Polly personally went out of her way to sort things out. She asked questions, was interested in understanding what went wrong, and did everything in her power to find a solution. She was so kind and patient with me. Definitely an exceptional experience on my end. All in all, I look forward to enjoying this product for a long time to come and sharing the small business with my friends. (: Highly recommend!

Great even for newbies!

As a pole newbie I was initially apprehensive about buying from Polly due to the returns policy wording about intentional returners.

I'm rather oddly proportioned and often end up returning a majority of anything I buy online.

However Polly provides plenty of guidance on sizes and additional advice via email.

I bought 3 outfits, including a custom made one (Fenella Marie) and they all fit!

First time I've never had to return anything :)

I'll definitely check this site first for any future purchases. I love my new polewear!

Always a Big Fan

I have ordered from Polly numerous of times for pole shorts and tops, and am always so happy with what I get. As someone who prefers shopping pre-loved and who cannot always afford brand new pole wear, Polly on a Pole is my favourite place to look!

I don't normally write reviews but i really think the customer service Polly provides deserves me emerging from the shadows and leaving a review. As recently ordered pole wrap and I accidentally mixed up my new address with my old address post code. I had only realised once I was notified it had been processed and got a notification from the delivery company. I quickly emailed Polly but was aware it might not be possible of changing it. Polly was SUPER quick at getting back to me and sorted out the postal address. Her customer service is amazing!

Really good value pole grips and lots…

Really good value pole grips and lots to look at. We have the same name and I think this is why Polly sent me a branded pen for free with my order, love it!

Great customer service

Polly has been very helpful with resolving a missing package problem after the parcel got stolen from where it was delivered to by Yodel. She got back to me almost immediately, liaised with Yodel, and kindly held on to a replacement set until I had a police report number to forward to Yodel. Just got the replacement set, and it is beautiful. Thank you very much :)

terrible customer service

Fast but terrible customer service.
Did not provide me with tracking information, delivery took way longer than the advertised 21 days for international shipping, which caused me to no longer be able to use/get the item as I am no longer at that location. I already ordered everything long enough in advance but did not meet their own expectations. Does not offer refunds or would cover the extra cost I have now to ship it to my current location

I replied to Shyrine Breuer within an hour with detailed tracking info showing that a delivery attempt had already been made, which they must have missed, and with info on how to track their parcel and arrange redelivery.

Shyrine Breuer then requested a 50% refund of the cost of their order contents due to this!? which I cannot begin to understand, and they also requested me to cover the cost of forwarding their order onto them in another country entirely, also for justifications unclear.

I politely explained why this wasn't my responsibility, and then was hit with a quite shocking barrage of expletives, irrational vitriol and defamation, which I have copy/pasted verbatim below:

Shyrine Breuer:
"This is a fucking joke, you are the worst bussines owner I have ever met. Just fyi, shipping to Iceland directly would be the most stupid idea ever, the cost and taxes would end up double the price of the actual item. And now you don't even refund the pole wrap, you are a fucking fraud and I hope your shop is going bancrupt."

I don’t feel there is anything more I need or wish to say in response to this!

Perfection! Brilliant place to shop!

What a lovely business to deal with! Great website with lots of choice, honestly described items. Fantastic customer service and communication too, Polly went out of her way to help me. My items arrived quickly, were even nicer "in person" and the fit advice I received was spot on! Beautiful set, in brilliant condition, delighted. I can't recommend Polly On A Pole highly enough! Im so glad I found the store

Im so glad I found the store, Ive been buying from Polly now since it opened and it gets better and better with so much new stuff added alll the time. Really fast answers when I have had questions. Not had a problem yet but I know it would get sorted if I did.
Have saved an absolute fortune as I am always buying stuff I absolutely love it!

I bought a bodysuit

I bought a bodysuit, and the webpage specified that it was "like new". I have received it, and it is broken on the two sides and poorly sewn by hand. I have written an email complaining and nobody has answered me. It has been an awful experience; I do not recommend buying here.

I have not sold any item that in any way relates to the reviewer's description.

Preloved items that do have any known flaws always have this clearly stated in the product listing, along with detailed close-up images of the problem area for transparency.
Additionally, I have not received any emails or other form of contact complaining about an issue of this type.

The reviewer, who has made no other reviews but this one, also ignored requests from TrustPilot to supply further information to enable me to trace their theoretical transaction.

I believe this review to be fake, and unfortunately, feel that it was made maliciously by an unknown third party with no genuine cause for complaint. :(

A well thought out business

For transparency, I happen to know Polly personally and I think she is runs an excellent business. (I’ve been running various small businesses for 45 years.) We discuss opinions and ideas about each other’s businesses and she has a very level-headed approach. Polly On A Pole is a well thought out, imaginative and customer-focused enterprise in my view.

I have made many purchases (all with ease) from Polly. She is amazing.
Great communication, speedy delivery and nothing is too much trouble. In fact, I'd say that Polly goes above and beyond!!

Owner very unreasonable, makes rules up on the spot

Tried to buy a set from this business. I had asked to swap the bottoms with a other pair that had more coverage, still the same set, brand and design but just different bottom types and a size up as that's what was available. Polly said she would mix the sets for me but was going to charge me extra (which I didn't get why but still would've obliged) then continued to say that the returns policy wouldn't be applicable if I purchased this item because it was mixed sizes... But Polly sells tonnes of other sets in mixed sizes? I replied about this and she said that she's made that decision because she's changing it for me? You would have thought she would have wanted the sale as either way it's a set sold and one bottoms left, felt like she was being difficult for no reason and unreasonable taking away the returns policy for me just because she wanted to when there's tonnes of other mixed size sets on the site included in the returns policy. I would have purchased if it wasn't for this, bad attitude.
Avoid, terrible customer service.
*Her response is untrue also, claiming to have "name calling and irrational insults" thrown at her which is completely untrue, I called her unreasonable and unhelpful. Even based off of that Polly exaggerates and won't own up to herself being unreasonable. Her response also goes on about splitting the set but they all matched and my issue was her taking away my returns rights which she had no reason to and doesn't address this in her response.

This person contacted me asking if I would separate a matching two-piece set so that they could substitute a different, non-matching set of bottoms.

The set in question is from a popular brand and now out of stock at all of the original retailers, and I have several other shoppers who have added it to their carts or favourites lists.

I would not usually split a matched set, particularly one getting a reasonable amount of interest, but I do try to help prospective buyers where possible.
I advised the reviewer that if they were willing to pay the small additional cost for the different bottoms that they wanted (which as I explained at the time, were more costly) I would be willing to do so, on the proviso that the set would be non-returnable as it would then be a mis-match and so, less valuable and harder to sell on.

The reviewer objected to this as I have some other items in the store that are already mixed sizes; they are present as I don't have exact matches for these items and are priced accordingly. I haven't broken up an already matching set in order to create them, which would be illogical!

I recieved quite an angry response including name calling and irrational insults about myself and my business, stating that they didn't want to buy from me as a result, and I let them know this wasn't a problem from my side and wished them all the best.

I do always try to help prospective buyers where possible, but if I am requested to break up a set or otherwise customise an item in such a way that would negatively affect its value or saleability, it does mean it will then be non returnable.
And of course, where I am able to offer substitutes, if a more costly item is requested as the substitute, the difference must be paid!

I'm sorry that the reviewer found all of this unfair or difficult to understand, and I do feel that I did my best to explain as outlined above.

I wish them all the best in finding a store or business that is able to work with them to provide what they want, but I'm afraid that in this instance, that business isn't Polly On A Pole.

Game changer

Brought the pole wrap for my chrome x-pole stage. It’s up in the conservatory and remains both cold and covered on condensation through the colder months. Took a chance on the wrap so that I can train at home. Complete game changer. Super grip and I can remain covered. I train in leggings and long sleeved tops and have no trouble with grip. It’s stays in place. Brilliant buy

Unfortunately I can only give a 1 star! Bought a pole set and a small hole appeared in the bottoms and a rip in the strap. Polly on a pole can't stand over it! If you buy clothes off any other company and this happens it is easily rectified, wore once and it shouldn't be happening. I'd advise people to go elsewhere and buy quality pole sets

I'm really sorry to leave a buyer unhappy with my service and their overall experience at Polly On A Pole, but I am not sure what this buyer expected from me, given that the item in question was received by them intact as per their own admission, and then (as confirmed by their own communications) damaged by wear/while in use.

The buyer initially contacted me requesting a return of a preloved item, which I was happy to accept until they advised me that they had removed the "no returns if tags are removed" tags, and that they wore/used the garment before "rips and holes developed."

Given that this was a preloved item that they wore, and that only after it was worn did any damage occur as per the buyer's own statements, I referred the buyer to the site terms and conditions on returns, and also in subsequent communications asked them what they would like me to do to resolve the issue.

Having previously threatened to leave a poor review for the site in what to me felt like quite a threatening manner, as per emails "absolute joke of a company be sure il be writing a review" (sic), they did not respond to my request to learn what they'd like me to do to resolve the issue; instead leaving this review.

Once more, my intention is always to ensure that everyone who buys from Polly On A Pole is happy with their purchase and receives what they expected, particularly when it comes to preloved goods; and I always accept returns for item flaws/faults not mentioned or missed upon purchase, and/or also no-fault returns in line with the Consumer Rights Act.

However, like all businesses that aim to offer an excellent customer experience, I won't offer refunds or fulfil unreasonable requests for returns on items damaged after sale by the buyer simply based on the threat of bad reviews.

I encourage all buyers to leave their honest feedback/review of my service, whether they find it to be good or bad, and I do not offer incentives to leave a positive review nor fold to unreasonable demands in order to prevent poor ones.

Great pole gear, highly recommend

I have bought a few pole sets from Polly via her Facebook page. I have always been extremely happy with purchases & items are usually sent very quickly. Polly takes the time to photograph all her items very well, which is great because you can really see how really good the condition is of every item.

I have only had 1 item which never got delivered by Evri. I contacted Polly, to say that I hadn't received it yet. We communicated well, so that Evri could carry out their investigation. When that was done & still no sign of the grippy leggings, Polly refunded me immediately. This was obviously out of Polly's control. I would be very happy to purchase more items in the future 😊
