An excellent beginner's course
I had a great weekend. I particularly enjoyed learning how to start a fire through various methods including magnifying glass or flint and steel. It was also useful to learn how to set up a hammock or a tarpaulin ridge line since I've never done either before. Graham, the instructor, shared a wealth of knowledge and anecdotes throughout, and it was great to spend some time with like-minded people in the woods.

Fantastic weekend away
Fantastic weekend away! Really enjoyed myself. As someone who had very little experience I wasn't overwhelmed. The activities (fire starting, making shelters, using the knives and working with wood, nature plant identifying walks and water purifying etc.) were well balanced with little breaks and downtime. Highly recommend. The free tea, coffee and tin of chocolate biscuits were much appreciated.

Unique Foraging Experience
A brilliant day out foraging with Graham, Natalie and the group. The day was not ‘just’ foraging - we learnt about the history of food, to identify various mushrooms and hedgerow plants and about the forest eco-system. I will never again think of a wood as just as trees or a path just as weeds. What an eye opener! Both Graham and Natalie are extremely knowledgeable and their passion for nature is infectious. The day was concluded by a taste tasting of various foraged foods including mushrooms and incredible chestnut biscuits. I’ve already recommended this experience to others and hope to be back at some point.

Brilliant father son experience
What an awesome experience for me and my 11yr old son. Graham was so knowledgeable and helped us to achieve so much. The rain really added to the experience too!

Fantastic weekend with a knowledgeable instuctor
Graham is a true expert, whose breadth of knowledge is astounding. His anecdotes are funny and help to deliver the learning in a relaxed atmosphere. The woodlands are beautiful. I really felt that this weekend helped to root my book-based knowledge in practical foundations. As a result, I feel far more confident with bushcraft. Not only were the teaching and setting great, but I arrived late as a result of car troubles. Graham went out of his way to meet me and take me to camp 3 hours after the planned starting time, ensuring I got settled and knew the basics of camp life despite the late hour. I will definitely be doing more courses (including the family weekend if I can convince my screen-entranced children) with Graham in 2026, despite the long journey from my home in Devon. It was worth the epic trip and every penny!

Basic Bushcraft weekend course.
Very good instruction in a friendly and approachable manner. Lots of opportunities to practice and perfect techniques that had been taught, also personal feedback from Graham on things that I had picked up from books and YouTube that I wasn’t sure I had learned correctly.
It’d was also interesting that the students were a very wide age, experience and educational range. Was truly a course for anyone who has an curiosity about bushcraft.

Spring Foraging Day
A really interesting day pottering around in beautiful woods looking at a huge array of native plants and trees. Graham & Natalie were very knowledgeable about the plants, roots and seeds in the woods and we ate our way through the day sampling many different things. The recipes and products to sample at the end of the day have inspired me to try more wild cooking.
