A delightful brew, accompanied by a personal note, adding a nice personal touch.

First and foremost it is lovely tea...I’m no aficionado but it certainly is a step above the big brands.
Secondly, the personal touch of a written note is nice effort and shows how much the company cares about its customers and its tea.

For scoring criteria, I try to look at things like; Taste, Quality, Sourcing, Service, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

My story with PMD.
I first encountered the products of PMD tea sitting at the tower restaurant in Edinburgh for afternoon tea overlooking the castle and the old town. Shocked by the quality, and after some lengthy inquiry, I found that this tea is not only reserved for the more excellent establishments out there, but also available for home consumption.

I say consumption because I've gone through nearly a kilo of it during the first month of the Covid-19 isolation, and I'm now sitting here with the next 850g on my table.

Now, I am not native to the British isles, but since coming here I have gorged myself on its offerings of tea. From Whittards to Fortnum&Mason, Tea makers of London, and even the rare tea company, PMD tea is what I stock my shelves with because at the end of the day, it is the tea I would serve as a host, and the tea I choose above the rest to have a pot of.

I've also had the pleasure of talking with Mr. Silva, the current leader of the family business, as well as a wielder of impressive knowledge and expertise on the subject of tea. He has told me much of the work that goes into their product and I look forward to bearing witness to it myself once the lockdowns open and it's possible to participate in their 'tea university' program.

In the meantime, and in the words of Mr. Silva himself, "Keep safe, keep strong and keep brewing PMD Tea."

We enjoyed our first cup PMD Tea in August 2019 at a high tea we attended in London. Arriving home in Australia we were soon craving for another cup of PMD’s delicious tea. So, we tracked them down online and placed a order. The package arrived quickly and the tea was amazing. This is our second of what will be many more future orders.

I just tried the lapsang souchong, and really enjoyed it! It has a mellower smoky taste than some others I’ve tried. Very nice seller, too...received a handwritten “Thank you” note with personal message. Classy!
