Not Recommended

Not a company I could promote. I dealt with Chloe (one of the designers) - and used a guy that she recommended to do the work.

My issue was that I never got to see the retail prices for anything - they had catalogues and they were really quite expensive and she would tell me - its ok you don't pay those prices - we discount for you- thing is I only had her word for it because I never got to see a list of all the products with the retail prices so I had to trust what she told me prices were - we were picking pieces from the showroom but they didn't have prices on either.

I was having my whole bathroom done - so bought a bathtub, shower, toilet, sink and two storage units and clip tiles for the floor - its been a couple of years now but altogether just for the units and accessories (taps, 1 shower head) etc all came to around 5K - may be a little less.

One of my main issues was I made a point of telling her I wanted dark brown tiles for the flooring - then I caught her putting down the number for grey tiles (which I definitely didn't want because I'd just ripped a whole load of grey tiles out of the living room). I physically gave her the brown tiles and said it was the brown ones I wanted - and I watched as she continued taking the number down for the grey tiles and then pack everything up - and of course the builder I agreed to use put down the grey flooring - which when I asked her about it she denies I asked for anything different, even though at the time, in the shop she confirmed she understood I wanted brown tiles. - The same times she was trying to promote when I bought my units which are dark grey.

I couldn't be in the house when the work was being done because I was away so I got a call from the handyman to tell me that the sink unit had arrived but it didn't have the top part and he told me she didn't know when she could get hold of it - so I had to ask him to get a piece of wood from the local timber merchant 5 min walk from the house. - He did that but it was laminate (the units are something like melanite) so not that waterproof - after a while the covering will lift so I need to keep it dry all the time.

When I got back from leave and asked her to reimburse me for the extra wooden top she refused to pay for it saying that she'd given me a discount on the units - only at the time she never showed me what the discount was. She also didn't replace the unit that came without the top - so basically I ended up paying for flooring I didn't want and a unit that wasn't complete as well as having to buy another piece that she refused to refund me for - which she should have refunded me on the bathroom unit as well as the cost to have the handyman come in and reinstall it - but that wasn't happening.

At the time I had to go keep things as they were because she refused to refund me and if I stopped the work I would have come back to no sink with no date as to when it would be fixed, as well as having to pay extra to get the work done when it did arrive - if I waited till she provided the missing part of the unit.

The handyman that did the work was good and did a good job but my gut told me that she may have had her own agenda, in retrospect I should have gone somewhere where I could see the prices, it probably may have saved me from the issues that followed - but I trusted the guy that did the work - as they recommended each other.

Units are good quality - but by my experience was the same could not be said about this particular bathroom designer - and that just makes me sad - I'm an honest person and expect that curtesy from others. So disappointed - it was alot of money for me. It looks like others seemed happy if the reviews are genuine. Sadly, though it has been a lesson learned for me, its not a company I can recommend.

FRIENDLY, LOCAL BATHROOM SHOWROOM AND PLUMBERS MERCHANT

Very friendly showroom with lots of lovely bathroom displays. I was undertaking a full house refurb and Anja spent a lot of time working with me, helping to choose my bathrooms and sourcing alternative options to meet my overall budget. Once the project commenced, there were a few unforeseen issues and Anja was always available and liaised well with Plumb Factory’s recommended contractor (Ian Corbett, who I can also vouch for) and was proactive in finding solutions. We had to make some changes along the way but Anja was very patient and approachable throughout. I am so glad that I chose a local company with personal service and I am very pleased with both the design and quality of the end result.

Fantastic Service.

Excellent Service.
After an awful experience, with another supplier and my fitter, I called at the branch in Bolton in absolute despair, the Manager Simon and especially Sonia were very patient and kind.
Sonia sat with me for a good hour or so whilst I explained the situation and what we required.
They worked miracles to rescue a very difficult situation and called me frequently to update me on the progress.
Delivered everything on time as promised, and it was a joy to open every box and find it was exactly what we'd asked for, very unlike the previous supplier (A three digit supplier in the Bolton area located near Volvo).
Lovely people, Fantastic Service :-)
