Just Don't
I was shipped two (one a replacement) vinyl copies of Sean McConnell's new release of "Secondhand Smoke," both so badly warped as to be unplayable. I suspect my sons ( I am 68-years old) will still be waiting for a refund long after I am gone. Do not buy anything directly from these people. I should have flushed my $35 down the toilet: it would have been quicker and much less painful.
Pathetic
I bought two products via PledgeMusic from two different bands. One went seamlessly, the other has been a 1.5 year shattering of my (rather nostalgic) dream. This was due to the difference between how the two bands handle their affairs and fans.
However PledgeMusic has handled the situation appallingly. It failed to respond to any email in less than 2 weeks, it conveniently "lost" an email, it didn't apply any pressure to the miscreant band to resolve the situation, it closed down complaints when they were most certainly not resolved, when eventually it offered a refund it said it would take 30 working days (why on Earth so long!!!???) and even after that time's passed, the refund hasn't been made. Awful.
You may not be surprised that bands act a bit rock n roll rather than concentrate on customer service but PledgeMusic is a customer service company that should be much, much more helpful. If you use them, beware that you won't gent any help from PledgeMusic at all.
Takes money, doesnt deliver, wont refund
This company have taken money, and refuse to refund on a project that won't ever deliver the product paid for.
They continually mark continued requests as "Solved" when this is far from the case. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
BEWARE!!!!
I subscribed to the Quireboys pledge campaign back in October - this pledge has now been cancelled but PledgeMusic kept the money! Contacted my credit card and my costs have been refunded while they go after PledgeMusic.
This was a great thing when it started
This was a great thing when it started, but now they have taken the money and ran .Artist not paid Pledgers left out in cold no refund or products.
Pledge Music has screwed thousands of…
Pledge Music has screwed thousands of fans. They have covered up and lied about their affairs for months, the CEO leaves, no doubt with full remuneration, meanwhile fans will never see the items they have paid for and will never see their money.
PledgeMusic using money from newer campaigns to fund old ones!
Apparently PledgeMusic has run out of money. Mostly leaving a review to inform others of that.
They began having cash flow issues and used funds from newer artist campaigns to keep things rolling. Now they are not releasing funds from fans to some artists so that they can finish up their campaigns/manufacture and ship products that were paid for. It’s putting some artists in a situation where it almost looks like they are dropping the ball on paid items when it is Pledge HQ that isn’t giving the money from fans to the artists that they need to fulfill their obligations.
So be very wary of buying anything from PledgeMusic now, and if you are waiting on an item from one of your favorite musicians it may very well be PledgeMusic that is the holdup on things. I am waiting on a lyric book from one of the nicest people in the industrial genre and it’s been really frustrating to hear what they have been going through with Pledge. No funds released from the Pledge campaign even though they’ve fulfilled most items out of their own pocket. It makes me very angry that the $200 I spent is going to a crooked company and the band has fulfilled most of my Pledge out of their own pocket so far, at a loss.
To be honest not sure the 1 star is…
To be honest not sure the 1 star is well earned. Paid for an item in 2017, release date was pushed back to October 2018. Chased in October when i hadn't received the item to then be told they had cancelled it and would refund the money paid. Been chasing the refund ever since and keep getting emails apologising for the delay but advising it's because their account system is being updated. It's a real shame as I have bought some good items from here in the past, but would not use them again after this experience.
Woeful experience
Ordered a £100 box set mid November - they said it was sent out late November, nothing appears in the post for 2 weeks. Contacted them, took them 3 days to respond (phone constantly engaged/busy)... Asked if my delivery address was correct and that they were trying to contact the delivery company for tracking info. Then nothing for EIGHT days. Then when they finally get back (again via email) they said they were STILL trying to get a reference from the delivery company. Lost patience and asked for a full refund. Zero communication. Box finally turns up 3/4 days later and it has a large box-cutter knife mark/score on back of box. Sent it straight back, forking out the £11 postage. Complained again - they finally caved in and issued a refund a few days later, saying they’d also cover the £11 postage cost - 2 weeks later I’m still waiting for that £11. I’m not holding my breath. By far and away the worst online experience I’ve ever had. Truly shocking.
Do not order there !
I send a request in July 2018 because I didn't get the stuff shipped a month earlier. After a couple of weeks, they told me I'll get a refund on my paypal account. Over 6 months and no refund. Everytime I contact them, the answer is : trouble with payment processor. During 6 month ?? Seriously ??
Thank you!
I had a couple of problems with the delivery and delivery of my product, but with the attention given to me by Albert and Tom by e-mail I have been very satisfied.
If the companies had that ability to solve problems and that quality of customer service, buyers would have better times.
I can only thank Albert and Tom for that great job and for making this shopping experience a pleasant experience.
How they’ve managed to stay in business…
How they’ve managed to stay in business and attract artist is beyond me. Total scam artists. I’m almost if the mind to boycott vinyl purchases for any artist who deals with them
If I could give this outfit a lower score…
If I could give this outfit a lower score I would. In twenty years of online buying, my recent experience with Pledge has been the absolute worst, I honestly don't know how they're still in business. I've just reported them to the trading standards office and the whole thing has made incredibly reluctant to buy anything online ever again.
Unbelievable bad!
I have pledged for a de luxe edition of the "Heroine diaries" book by Nikki Sixx, signed and numbered. I only received a signed edition and, needless to say, much later than expected (1 year later almost).
I contacted the customer care who was not able to help me (not that they even cared about it). I asked to exchange my edition (which is NOT what I pledged) for a standard de luxe and get the money difference back. No replies.
Just to complete the picture, we're talking about a 750$ item (yes you've read it well).
Never. Again.
Lost over $200 because of this horrendous company.
I spent over $200 on a test pressing white vinyl for my dad for his 60th. Shipping said any time in 2017. The year passed and I didn't think too much of it as it said anytime and then with moving house and some health problems I completely forgot about my order until the middle of 2018. I never received any emails or contact from pledge in this time to say the item had been shipped or any updates. I logged in to pledge and say my vinyl was apparently posted in April 2017. I contacted them to say I hadn't received it and received very basic short answers back, from various employees who clearly didn't want to speak to me. They said it was outside the 60 odd days after shipping so nothing they can do, sorry, bye. I continued asking for proof of postage, where postage was from, the company, anything I could use to try and track down my order but they just sent a date written in the email and said it was from the UK "standard post". Why would it take up to 10 days "standard post" and why wouldn't you send something of such value tracked?! It was a lot of money and an eagerly awaited present and I am incredibly disappointed. What an awful company! Had I seen these reviews before ordering I wouldn't have done so.
Ordered the R.E.M photobook
Ordered the R.E.M photobook, item was 'in stock' when ordered. Almost six weeks, no visibility across the entire supply chain, no stock in warehouse. Whilst a refund has been offered and the person I am dealing with is pleasant, the only efficient part of the entire operation was the taking of your money. I couldn't give zero
Awful experience
Ordered a bundle for my favourite band The Beat over 2 years ago, 2 months passed closing of date for merchandise to arrive and still no sign.
NOW have been informed that I will be getting a refund as no merchandise is available.
What a rip off and total disappointment
Absolutely unsatisfied!
They ships orders paid over 80 euros by standard mail, not trackable, without considering the risks that such a means of shipping involves (theft, loss and damage to the package). For orders above a certain value they should automatically send by registered mail.
And while you are there to wait in vain for the postman to make the delivery you are told that you have to wait 30 days before applying for a refund.
Avoid Pledgemusic; Amazon is a billion times more secure and reliable, even as a customer service.
Bad service and communication/without money back guarantee!
Bad service, very bad communication. My 3 orders are not arrived. Never order through Pledge! Maybe order coming, maybe not. Any money back guarantee. Its shame for artists selling through Pledge.
Ordered from PledgeMusic stupid me !!!
Placed order for Tony Bennett and Diana Krall vinyl test on the 10th August. Still nothing arrived , contacted them , replied, not enough product arrived from Universal Music, from then on nothing. No replies to emails , messages at all, even when asking for a refund. I then stupid me checked out Trustpilot. I am going to have to get my credit card to do the refund. Do not go near PledgeMusic. pay them NO MONEY AT ALL. The comments on Trustpilot seem totally accurate. I even contacted Verve Music TB and Dkrall label. They did no want to know. All I asked was are they actually doing business with Pledge Music. I feel well and truly ripped off by £118. Disgusted !!! Steve B
