AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Our daughter attended a beavers/scouts trip here and we received a parking fine for dropping her off and collecting her for £170. Our parents also received the same fine for dropping off her sister so we have just had to pay £340 in fines (not including park entry tickets too!) for simply being in their car park for 18 mins despite us paying the £3 drop off fee. Disgusting attitude and experience and will certainly never return.

Hello and thank you for reaching out. We are truly sad to hear you have received parking charge notices. We have gone above and beyond to make it clear to guests with signage on site , including on entry, as well as online with information and booking prompts to ensure guests have covered their parking. While we appreciate it is a relatively new operational change for the park, it is commonplace across the attractions industry. If you do wish to appeal, we advise to reach out to Smart Parking.

Hello, thank you for your review. We are sad to have only received the one star. Rest assured we do respond to our guests when they email. Have you reached out to us since? While we appreciate ride closures can be inconvenient, we reserve the right to limit their availability should there be any need to, such as engineering works. With our website ride status function as well as our on-entrance screens, we do our utmost to informed guests of planned closures.

Great place, great value for money

Great place! Yes it’s a bit run down in places but it’s great value for money and I’m sure updating it further would drive the prices up. No queues, lots to do, there’s some great rides and we went with children ages 4 through to 12 years old and they all had a great day. Even us adults had fun! Sea lion show and circus were great, It’s so nostalgic having gone every year as a child. Love seeing a lot of the rides from then are still here. Fun day out

Is great to see this park surviving but only just

Is great to see this park surviving , but that's only just . Everywhere you go in this park is crying out for investment and there is obviously no or little chance of that .
With new pricing structure and parking charges it is now imperative that investment in new rides and landscaping is forthcoming or the survival of this great little park is in real danger .

Run down

I wouldn't recommend this theme park to anyone looks run down, the French company say its invested in it since 2011
All I can say is in some parts yes but in other areas not ,
I personally think the park needs a year closed and for work to be carried out and some new rides ,
Even down to woody bear he looked old and dirty so only one star

Abandoned theme park that's still open

If it wasn't for the fact that I paid to get in, I could have been an urban explorer looking around an abandoned theme park.

Sorry (not sorry) this place is now an absolute disgrace - fallen from a lovely local attraction to a theme park that has been allowed to fall apart. So sad to see; lots of investment 11 years ago when we first visited but neglected since due to false promises, it seems, by 'Looping Group', the French company that bought the park some years ago. This company seem to be wringing the last possible finance from the park before it is closed.

Some of the rides today were closed 'for maintenence' (which is a concern in its own right), staff were lovely, but it's pretty clear they are fed up.

Plus points:
1. The park was open.
2. The staff were friendly.

Negative points:
1. The park was open.

Please (pretty please, with a cherry on top) someone tell Laurent Bruloy (owner of Looping Group) that his takeover of this theme park and subsequent management is the worst thing that could have happened in its history.

Trustpilot doesnt allow for pictures to accompany revirews but i took 20-odd of how this park is dilapidated and filthy dirty. Honestly, they look like an Urban Explorer's effort to document an abandoned theme park.

To the person at Pleasurewood Hills whose job it is to read reviews; forward this review to senior management before it is, truly, too late for you all.

Shockingly bad

Shockingly bad. Many of the popular and best rides were closed yesterday. One broke down when we were in the queue, another broke down when we were on it and we were trapped in the dark for over 15 minutes. The park is run down and there seemed to be a lack of staff so many rides were closed. Never again and a total waste of money. Oh and you have to pay an addition £3 to park in a field.

Pleasurewood hills

Pleasurewood hills, is a great park, its not alton towers but its cheaper and easier to get to!!! Still lits of fun. My only complaint is the fast track wrist bands! Waiting for a ride and a load of jumped up over privileged kids jump the queue! I know they pay but so do I!!!!

At the park we do not offer fast track wristbands for anyone to purchase, the only wristbands we provide are the access wristbands for disabled guests, these are free of charge , for guests who may struggle with queuing, for long periods of time, and have shown us official documentation. We hope to welcome you back to the park in the future. Team PWH 😊

Uks worst theme park

Without a doubt, the worst theme park in the UK,
Broken down, poor maintained rides, run down, depressing scenery and high prices.

Barely any rides left now, when I was a child there was a lot more attractions here, now, half the buildings are closed, a few food shacks and toilets are all that remain.

My son hated it so much that he wanted to leave and even had an anxiety attack because of how much it cost to get in. £60 for 2 riders a 1 non rider.

Now food, tske a packed lunch cause it's a rip off for food here, £10 for a burger on its own, or £15 to get it with fries and a drink, that's £15 a person, £45 for 3 people to eat.

Save your money, go to pleasure beach instead, much better value for money

Honestly if I could have given NO stars…

Honestly if I could have given NO stars I would have . I would strongly advise anyone thinking of going don’t waste your money ( and it’s very expensive) . I last went in the nineties and it looks like nothing has been done since then , not a coat of paint, rides cleaned etc etc .
Today I took my 3.5 year old grandson and it was disgusting. Half the rides weren’t open ( including chair lift, toddlers mini twister ) and the rides that were open were very poorly maintained ( flaking paint, seats ripped, dirty ) and generally not appealing to anyone to want to go on them . My grandson went on the teacups ( also filthy, ripped seats , flaking paint ++++- it was hard to identify what exactly they were !) and the bumper cars . Unfortunately on the bumper cares the seat belt was useless and following one bump he was thrown forward and smashed his face ( I was with him so he was accompanied) . He was so upset and shaken we had to leave after having spent less than two hours there.
The place was also swarming with wasps , I acknowledge there is little they can do about this however keeping rubbish bins empty and clean would help.
I was going to seek out the manager and make my views known and request a refund however my grandson was so distressed it wasn’t appropriate as he needed to get home .
I can honestly say I will NEVER go back and will strongly advise friends/ relatives not to either . Luckily there are other places to visit 100 times better than pleasurewood Hills ( I’m thinking the word pleasure should definitely be removed as today our experience was anything but pleasurable!!)

This place is cooked.

It actually pains me to see this place in the state it is in now. Management are shamefully dismissive of the volume of complaints they are receiving and in my opinion are very bold to open the gates to this park and take people's money.

I have some incredible memories here throughout my life but its now a derelict ghost town with 50% of the big rides not working. The park is riddled with neglect and is a health and safety disaster waiting to happen. My recent visit:

Wipeout: Closed
Jolly Roger: Closed
Chairlifts: Closed
Large train: Closed
Mini sky drop: Closed
Log Flume: Closed
Go-Karts: Derelict
Theatre: Derelict
Western shooting range: Open but the laser guns and scoreboards are not working.

Plenty of attractions like a game of basketball where you can pay an additional £5 on top of your entry fee to throw 3 balls at a hoop. Or relax in the fast food restaurant where you can pay restaurant prices for low end fast food quality. (My bill was £50 for lunch for 1 adult and 2 kids.)

Utterly utterly shameful place.

Attached photo is the inside of one of the buildings that is actually not abandoned... thought you'd be surprised to know that.

Pleasurewood Hills could be so much better.

Such a shame - Pleasurewood Hills could be so much better. The grounds and lush green are beautiful but it is understaffed and has been allowed to become 'frozen in time.'
As you enter it feels like a concrete jungle and to the right there is a 'throw a ball in a hoop' stall which makes it look like a cheap carnival.
The floor is uneven and there is so much space where things could be put just to make the park more appealing on the eye.
I went specially for the chairlift as they said that it would be running but it was down all day.
The safari was a lovely ride with pretend model animals but through the trees you can see the rest of the park so you do not feel fully immersed. A few extra trees could resolve this. Also the pretty animals had cobwebs on them - it wouldn't take 30 mins to give them a wipedown everyday.
The shoot em up cowboy rifle ride (I cannot remember the name) smelt awful. I cannot describe the smell.
The old fashioned artwork on the swinging swings is beautiful - just add some old carousel music from yesterday year would make it feel complete.
Why is there a sea lion show in 2025? It is wrong and draconian. Poor animals have to provide 'tricks' in order to get food. This needs to go. There must be somewhere that the sea lions could be retired to without having to work for their supper. Plus, the chorline in the water can not be good for their skin and eyes. Also, if they are fed when having to look up into the sunlight all the time, this can make them go blind.
Children and adults alike love Woody the Bear - the park mascot, but there are no published times as to when to see him. I was told that he walks around the park and he is at the front of the park and opening and closing. So unless you ask specially - you could miss him.
A regular meet and greet area with Woody and his pals would be so much better.
There isn't enough staff and the poor staff do not look too happy which doesn't bode well for guests.
A few simple tweaks to make it much better; remove the sea lion show & bird displays; give the park and rides a good cleaning; feel up the empty spaces with maybe some trees or some photo opportunities for people; and a regular meet and greet with Woody the Bear would be so much better.

Extremely poor customer service and communication

Many rides were closed which was not advertised until late the evening before our visit, after we had already booked tickets, leaving very little time to contact the park. Many customers were complaining at the park, all of which were handled differently with some offered better compensation than others. In addition, any emails sent regarding the issue have not been responded to.
