It is a nice feeling to get those flavours of your childhood again and this business chose sweets to fire those memories, this is not my first order from them and of course it won't be my last.

Stale

My sweets tasted stale and there we no 'best before' dates on any of the packets. I emailed the company, rather than leave a bad review, but I got no reply. I have since done a company search and Pleased To Sweat You was dissolved in June 2022.... selling off old stock maybe?

Unfortunately we received no email from yourself, hence no reply.

Pleased To Sweet You Ltd is dissolved but PTSY Ltd is not, which is the company we are trading under. This was due to a restructure for accounting reasons.

With regards to best before dates, we have never had these on our packets because we are not required to. All of our products are made to order, rather than being mass produced for retail, like you would find in the supermarket. It is not viable for us to place best before dates on each of our made to order packets. If you went it to a bakery and bought say a gingerbread man off of the shelf, they put it into a paper bag for you. There is no best before date on that paper bag. If you went into a sandwich shop and had a sandwich made to order, there is no date on the bag that they place the sandwich into. You have to assume that the bread is in date and that the ingredients are also in date.

We manage best before dates in house and all of our products are within date. Yes, some of our products may be close to their best before dates, but that is why we have sales of 40% off, like the sweets that you have just purchased. The same principle is applied in major supermarkets, with them offering large discounts for food that is very close to or on their best before dates.

Never want to buy from them again

Bought 500g of spider jelly but it was nothing like advertised on website.
What I received was mostly broken pieces of body parts and doesn’t look like spider.
Only able to use 3 of them out of 500g purchase.
Supposed to use them for Spider-Man themed birthday party but not able to use them totally disappointed.
Never want to purchase from them again.

Bit of an unfair comment and rating.

The bag was mostly filled with complete spiders with some part bits. They were discounted by 40% and you also tried to request another 10% on top of this before you placed your order.

The rest of your order was completely fine. A 3 star would be a more appropriate rating.

Not up to expectations.

I really looked forward to tasting my collection of your sweets.
On the whole, I found that they did not live up to my expectations. Some had a funny "not sugar" type taste, some tasted slightly stale and others just did not pack the punch I expected. The fizzy tubes did not fizz and neither did the strings. The yoghurt covered raisins were not too bad but the covering did not taste like yoghurt at all.
Quite disappointed in all actually.

Yummy sweets

The website is easy to use and the sweets were delivered promptly. All the sweets were lovely, I have already placed another order.

I love pick n' mix

I love pick n' mix. And these guys do it almost perfectly.

I went for the medium sized bag which was a self-indulgent moment I'd longed for for a couple of months. Delivery was a little long, but I hadn't paid for anything special so I didn't expect it to arrive on the following day - plus I'd ordered over a weekend, so I don't fault them for this.

The box was discreet and the goods well cushioned. I must say, the jelly sweets are top quality. Fresh, chewy and delicious. The panda chocolate is okay - not my personal favourite. The kola cubes were also good, albeit not the cola of my childhood. I don't think they do it anymore.

The bubblegum bottles are superb, as are the fangs and snakes, dolphins and crocodiles. All absolute perfection, high quality.

I've given four stars because the cola and cherry cola bottles are really not good. They are hard, the sugar has come off a few and they don't taste good. They aren't a good quality bottle for me and I was a little disappointed by this. They were the only disappointment in the bag and I know for future to skip them. I've actually dug through the bag to remove them - I just can't eat them.

That said, I will most certainly be ordering again because the quality of the rest of the sweets is unbeatable. The fact the majority are also wheat free has meant my partner has been able to share them (perhaps that isn't a good thing after all?), which is a big bonus.

Overall I do recommend these guys!

Good quality and value for money

Fabulous selection of good quality sweets. Takes me back to my childhood. Reasonably priced with quick delivery. Would highly recommend you give them a go.

Not a great first impression

Order was confirmed. Email received about it being shipped and then 2hrs later received an email and told the order was cancelled as most items where out of stock and would be refunded as they did not receive a delivery due to driver shortage. Checked their website the next day to see what items couldn’t be delivered/if I could order one item in particular and all items showed as being in stock still.
