Poor Quality products they will FAIL!

Where to start!!!!
We are a small family run business that sell new stairlifts to customers, We were 100% Handicare dealers until we started having issues with quality on there products, about a year ago we decided to give the Platinum brand a go!
Well let’s say this didn’t go to plan , the quality is worse they are designed to fail
We have literally been back to everyone we have installed and had to replace parts.
We are now going to start action against this company due to the poor quality products.
At present it seems most of the manufacturers seem to have a quality problem with their products so shop around carefully!

Platinum 'Ultimate' curved stairlift -Very poor.

Twelve months ago I purchased a Platinum 'Ultimate' curved stairlift with a first step start through Multicare Mobility Products Ltd. From day one it juddered a lot and shook me about, banged and groaned and appeared to "jump cogs" regularly.I have had engineers from both companies out several times without any improvement and during those visits both have stated " Thats as good as it gets, all single rail curved stairlifts are like that"!!!
It certainly does not live up to either company's advertising literature or sales patter and is likely to end up in court.
It certainly does not inspire confidence and I would suggest that you ride on one prior to purchase.

Platinum Stairlift for more than 5 years

We've had our Platinum Stairlift for more than 5 years and it has been great! We've never had a problem with it. The few times there was an error message in the small screen on the arm of the chairlift, the problems were quickly resolved by consulting the manual. My mother could not have managed without it! She loves it!

Absolute rùbbish…

Our platinum stairlift is under 2 years old. Since having this fitted it has suffered constant breakdowns and needed new parts. We are extremely disappointed with this, it has been a constant frustration waiting for parts and engineer visits. Shockingly bad quality product. At this moment waiting for new seat and computer board, stairlift stopped charging on 2 parking points, arm control, 3rd one so far, approx 6 weeks since fitted and already faulty. Rarely has this been in full working order and we are constantly waiting on delivery of parts. 2 remote controls had to be replaced. If you are thinking of purchasing a stairlift please don't choose one of these.

First class engineering support service from a quality British stairlift manufacturer

I was recently called out to attend an emergency repair on a Platinum Curve stairlift. As an independent stairlift installer via my company Zengo Mobility Stairlifts Limited, I had no prior knowledge or experience with this product.

On ringing the engineering support team at Platinum Stairlifts, I was treated courteously and professionally. They talked me through fault symptoms and potential cures and gave very detailed and helpful advice.

The result is that I was successfully able to repair the Platinum Stairlift and my elderly customer was able to resume her daily use of this essential mobility aid. Well done to Platinum Stairlifts!
