Ordered 4D plates, they sent out normal ones. I emailed to notify and they argued with me over email. Not even a hint of apology or resolution, they didn’t seem to care.

Horrific customer service. Avoid.

Not great. I had items left out when delivered. Can’t speak to anyone!

Awful excuse for a company no contact number the reviews on thier site are obviously fake so many listed as A Reviewer! Do not use these scammers leave em to tarmacing drives and dumping tyres on farm land!

So easy to select options and secure the plates you want. Customer service dept answered my email promptly and made the changes I asked for. I'm really pleased with the results.

This company is a total joke DO NOT USE..... i paid extea £17.50 for express delivery and was waiting 7 days for my plate then when it arrived there was a chip out of it!! Tried Emailing twice and getting no reply.

I've used platesforcars.co.uk for years and can't believe the negative comments on here! My most recent order arrived promptly but unfortunately the front plate (Gel) wasn't great, emailed the company and without any hesitation they shipped a replacement FOC which arrived three days later. Highly professional and recommended. ps they have a clear section on the website specifying 'show plates or UK legal', so the comments about legalities are clearly from morons who can't read.

Joke of a company, can’t even centre the letters. Tried contacting by email no reply after 7 days. Return at my cost for the pleasure of buying a wonky plate..

4D plates are off centre and wonky. PFC’s response to a 1 cm difference between the left and right sides was; “There is always going to be a few mm of tolerance each side.” Their reason for the letters and numbers being wonky (not parallel) was; “Digits are hand laid on templates.” Expected me to return them to Ireland at my cost (wouldn’t collect) for a refund. Surely if PFC could manufacture 4D plates that are aligned they would simply replace them FOC. After all who needs a second set of wonky plates. Numerous e-mails and most replies had an evasive tone. Before posting this review, I asked PFC if any of this is inaccurate. No reply received.

Illegal plates

Ordered the plates and then got pulled for having illegal number plates. Yes maybe I should have known the Law for number plates, but a company selling thousands should be warning at the very least.

Then to top it off, no response from the company when I emailed them. I didn’t even ask for a refund or even an apology. I wanted to know what was illegal about them and what needed to be change. Had to ask a police officer in the end.

Absolutely terrible customer service and clearly not a honest trustworthy company.

BEWARE AND CHECK THE LAWS IN YOUR COUNTRY.

Beware of this company they are scammers I only asked for a logo to be a different colour to be told I have to upload an image when they already have the the logo I want, I only wanted it in different colour. Then I was told the order is on hold, so I asked for a refund as I find the company were just being awkward, they refunded me but ended up £6.90 short because they have a 15% cancellation charge even if you don't receive anything so now out of £45.97 I have only a refund of £39.07, the cheeky sods. Do NOT buy plates from this company. As they seem to be a bunch of scammers. Also this morning had rude email saying I have been wasting their time, they have completely wasted my time. DON'T ORDER ANY PLATES FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Criminals. After paying they asking me for extra papers and personal information that voilates GDRP. I asked for refund they are still holding to my money. I get the plate done on amazon for fraction of the money they want. They are absolute criminals

I purchased 4D Gel plates at some expense. Nowhere on the sale part of the website does it explain that you cannot drill these plates. The holes are pre determined on my BMW as with many cars, so I drilled to fit and had to drill through one of the digits. The digit lifted and has come off the plate. I complained and have been told that there was a message on the paper attached to the palate when it arrived that informs that the plate cannot be drilled. Sorry, this should be very clear on the sales page when buying, sadly no sign of it there. Even if I had seen it on the paper that came with the plate it would have been too late. I was told I should have moved the holes so I didn’t have to drill through a digit. Sadly on my car, and I am sure I am not alone, this is not possible on the rear of the car. I complained but told there is nothing that the company are prepared to do. Beware, this is very misleading and I wasted £70 on this very expensive plate. I would not use this company again!

Front number plate was fine, but rear, which included a 'border' turned out purple instead of blue - when I requested they look at this they said 'it is blue' and refused to replace. It's most definately not blue...

Don’t be fooled by the 14day money back, they are based in Dublin and it’s so much hassle to return them.

Used these before and just order some plates for my sons car, fantastic service and good quality well made plates and delivered on time.

I would give them no stars if I could. Plates failed MOT as incorrect spaces between characters, of course that was 12 months after buying them. I needed them quickly as I changed out a rubbish personal Reg. after buying a new car, but I have ended up feeling ripped off. No recourse other than writing a bad review, only realised they were non-UK after paying. They did at least turn up a day later I suppose, but a waste of money otherwise. Don't use them.

Dont understand negative reviews ive bought 2 sets of plates here and had no issues with them clean crisp and clear i highly recommend im actually going to buy another set now so thts 3 sets thanks plates for cars

I got some plates from these guys - only to find they were not legal and of poor quality. They're based in Ireland, so bank on you not being bothered to return them if not happy. I tried to contact them, they just ignore you. Get your plates from a UK company and one that requires you to prove your identity and that you own the registration - two things needed to supply a legal plate. This lot don't ask for anything but an address and your card number. AVOID!

Have used this company maybe a half dozen times for plates and have always had a great experience. Fast and never had an issue with any plates.
