Awful experience made an account sent…

Awful experience made an account sent all documents in then applied for a very small loan within 10 seconds of the application I get a email saying declined clearly my loan application not even looked at the whole point of a credit union is to help people access credit that couldn’t from banks etc An absolute shambles avoid this lot

One word, Avoid!

Read the reviews properly and avoid this organisation. They lockdown your savings even when you are in a financial hardship situation, they would ignore you and disregard your situation. Pathetic! No empathy, no humanity. I have young children who are on the spectrum and this organisation is blatantly refusing to give me access to my savings. Life can be very unpredictable, unforceen situations occur, please avoid anything to do with this organisation. They will not support you when you need help. My complaint is now going to the Financial Ombudsman Service. That's how bad. In the meantime, my children and I will beg for food!

Terrible & Misleading

Terrible!

Don’t respond to requests for days at a time, and use automated decision making to decline loan applications solely based on credit scoring, even though the website falsely advertises

Affordability and personal circumstances are definitely NOT taken into consideration.

I applied for a loan to refinance a car loan I had got at a very high interest rate just 2 weeks prior, but immediately after pressing submit online I received a rejection email.

Now I’ll have to continue paying off a higher interest loan and not saving anything each month, when I could have been both saving and paying off the loan at a lower rate.

Really no difference at all to a bank.
Even though the credit union states they are there to support members, you’re just another automated decision.
Zero personal touch, and no human involvement in the decision making.

If you’re looking for a loan and don’t have a credit rating that’s good or better.
Do Not apply here.
The loan will not be considered by a human, and you’ll be left with a hard search on your file by an automated decision making system, which negatively affects your credit score even more.

Yes I understood I would be credit checked, but I was falsely lead to believe that affordability and personal circumstances would be taken into account. Had I known it was automated I’d definitely have not applied.

Plane Savers, Please don’t lead people on and give false hope, Be completely honest and upfront about how you make decisions on your website, so people can make an informed decision on their applications.

2nd loan application declined waited 13…

2nd loan application declined waited 13 days for it and then lending team have declined my application, all my plan's and projects for home improvements went out the window, this is a disgraceful company,I think they need to be reported to FCA, for the way they treat their members horrible company to frightened to lend ,the way this company sees lending as if they are donating money, will stay away from this ,disgraceful company.

Rubbish company.

Rubbish company.
Pre approved for a loan by a third party who had all of my details I have a good credit score & then turned down by these clowns . Now had a hard search on my credit score when they had no intention of giving me a loan any way.
Beware if pre approved !

Fab service

Cons: takes a painfully long time to move an application forward.
Pros: first class service once you do get to speak to someone in the lending team. Exceptionally helpful and understanding, to the extent of being kind and fair when it comes to talking about debt. A realistic approach to why people get into debt and how they can help get them out of debt. I genuinely can't thank them enough for their help and I'm delighted to say that financially my position has improved 100%. I can also save at the same time which is extraordinary.

Consolidation loan.

My 1st consolidation loan from this company with the best interest rates I've been offered in years. And I can actually save whilst paying off the loan for which I'm grateful. It may seem a little long winded uploading all your details but that is part of the process for fair lending. Definitely worth it and I hope others can feel the relief from financial strain as I have when using this company, thankyou Planesaver.

They helped me when other companies…

They helped me when other companies didn’t so an immediate 5 stars as far as I am concerned. Helpful advice and talked through all of my finances and tailored a quote to my needs rather than just saying yes to what I asked for. Excellent service

After being a member and taking out 2-3…

After being a member and taking out 2-3 loans from 2017 and paying in full with no missed payments, my last 4-5 applications have been rejected. I would like to add that my credit score and affordability are both better now than they were when I was accepted for a loan (with no help from the hard search’s planesaver put on my file each application)🙄. It seems this company has changed the way they look after their members, and to me it is not a credit union anymore, and more like a mainstream bank. I have requested to close my account and asked for any funds I have saved with them to be transferred to my bank account. It took 5 days and I still had no reply from the messages I had sent. Thankfully I got to talk to someone today who has actioned the closure but being ignored for almost a week before wasn’t very professional. I have now opened an account with London Mutual Credit Union who have been a lot more helpful, and seem to work as an actual credit union. Just to add, I am not just being bitter because I have been refused 4 or more loan applications recently because they had sorted me in the past, I just believe that people should know the details of everyone’s experiences good and bad and this bad experience has proven to me that they are no longer a loyal credit union who help their loyal members.
