Over £100 spent on meal
Over £100 spent on meal, I ordered a pizza with anchovies, it came with two!!
When delivered it was all cold and the deserts were forgotten. £20 for a small pizza is obscene.
So sad because thirty years ago they made the best pizzas .

I totally agree with some comments here. We haven’t been since our Calabrese pizza was removed from the menu. Our visit was so disappointing, the pizza dough is definitely not the same recipe, looks and taste like a tasteless’pancake’. The toppings are not better, under seasoned , bland , luke warm pizza. How can you make a pesto tastless?! So sad. 😞 We miss our ‘old good pizza express experiences’. No from us.
I WAS A GOLD MEMBER - BYE!!!!!
Went to Cambridge Regent Street ‘outlet’ at 8.25 pm. Lots of empty seats but told shutting kitchen at 9pm. Asked what time restaurant closes - told 9.30! Told them I was a gold member!!! Staff member walked off! Contacted the customer service team and received a totally patronising reply telling me how to book on the app or to use the telephone!!! Pathetic behaviour and a pathetic business. I WAS A GOLD MEMBER - BYE…
Pizza Express Maidenhead
Pizza Express Maidenhead, Berkshire.
The greeting was without smile and a grunt asking only ....."allergies"?
Sat us down with no care and after a minute we got up to leave again. Get rid of the big bloke who couldn't care whether customers come or go even.
Jane was a pleasure
Jane was a pleasure. Very attentive and polite. Loved the food. Great lunch.
Northampton town centre was empty when…
Northampton store was empty when we went there annd now I know why. Ordered bbq burnt end pizza and pizza with selected toppings but it was dreadful.
No meat on bbq pizza and 4 small anchovies on the other. Drink brought up full of ice with minimal juice. Chef was having a cigi out while waiter prepped & cooked the pizza. It was embarrassingly stingy toppings and poor quality for £50 lunch
Kids go to bed hungry - customer service do not care
Ordered a delivery at 5:30 for my nephews, my partner and I from the Fleet store. It took over 2 hours to leave the kitchen and finally arrived at 7:50 and half the order was missing and was cold. Kids went to bed without food.
We emailed pizza express to let them know something clearly isn’t working well in the restaurant and they responded essentially saying: ‘tough, not our problem’ because we ordered through the app.
Their wording was: “sorry you were disappointed”. Not that it took 2 hours to cook the food, no one from the store answered the phone, 3 delivery drivers came to store and had to leave, and that the kids went to bed without food. Nope, sorry you felt a certain way, rather than taking any form of responsibility.
Been here a few times before but won’t be coming back - not even for the experience (I can forgive that), but for the disrespectful response from the customer service team.

I have to worm up pizza in the microwave as is was delivered cold (like from the fridge). This 'refreshment' was delivered within 1.5 hour and cost £30. Order here if you want cold pizza!!!
Got forgotten about
Went to Canterbury pizza express. Got my meal without pizza cutters and asked for balsamic vinegar, as soon as I got it another waitress came and asked for it and I politely declined as I hadn’t used it yet and she walked away and scoffed. Waited 30 minutes to be seen about dessert when the restaurant was practically empty another family tried to get service as they had been there for 25 minutes and hadn’t been served and the ended up walking out, after we got dessert (Icecream) it took ages to come out and came out in a cup?. Sat there another 15 waiting for the bill managed to get the attention of a waiter who said it’s in his way he came back 5 minutes later and he himself was confused as we still hadn’t got it it took another 10 to finally get it at this point the whole restaurant was practically empty. Pizza wasn’t nice and it came with barely any toppings but everything else was ok. Toilets were not working. This has made me not want to come back which is sad as I’m a member and I’ve always gone, but everyone was so rude (minus the lady who greeted us and the man who tracked down our bill) and we kept getting forgotten about no severe was even in our area. And the prices for how awful the pizzas are is ridiculous so I think this is my last visit.
Plymouth - Not Express.
Booked table for two families as a pre-theatre lunch. Allowed 1hr 45 minutes to be safe. Our half of the table was served with time to spare but we had finished eating before the other half was served. Wait time from ordering to pizzas was 70 minutes and had to takeaway in a box. Another table gave up and left before being served. I thought the pizzas were below par also; I found myself leaving the crusts, which I’ve never done in the past.
Oh no
What has happened to Pizza Express? It used to be great, consistent food, good prices, good atmosphere - but now the food is poor, the prices are ridiculously high, and the staff appear unhappy. Last time I go.
Pizza Express branded supermarket pizza…
Pizza Express branded supermarket pizza a bad joke!
Bought one of these abominations from Sainsbury's, never again will I buy a Pizza Express product/pizza or visit one of their restaurants - amongst other things - hardly any cheese!
Our evening was ruined -luckily we had a packet of crisps (far superior).
Sainsbury's own brand pizza's are very good though & surprisingly far superior to ... Pizza Express, let that sink in! :-(
Pizza Express are not at all good - packaging was ok - maybe Pizza Express should stick to cardboard packaging & forget about making pizza's :-(
Pizza Express Milton Keynes Escape…
Pizza Express Milton Keynes Escape today, probably the worst Pizza ever, it arrived cold and tasted bland, in fact it didn’t taste of anything, certainly not a Prawn Thermidor, and you don’t cook breaded Calamari in an oven it burns on top and the underneath is wet, all you could taste was burnt breaded covering. Terrible will never go back.
Thank you Carla and Stephen @ Broad street
We had a great experience at the Wokingham Broad Street restaurant this evening. Thank you Carla and Stephen for making it such a special occasion for our 5 year olds birthday. Thank you
Great customer service but poor food
Great customer service but really disappointed with the food. We visited Pizza Express because our child loves it but we could get much better pizza elsewhere. My pizza was soft (only just cooked) and had hardly any toppings, and the presentation wasn't great either. The veg that came with the piccolo meal wasn't fresh and was a very small portion (1 tiny tomato & a couple of slices of cucumber cut into small pieces). The baked cheesecake dessert was good though a bit too sweet.
King Street Nottingham
We did go at a very busy time early evening christmas period too,but we had a very lovely waitress Harriet very polite and very helpful when our pizza was a little late, she was doing her very best at a busy time of the day and new to the job.
Pizza was nice ,lots of topping and a good cooked base ,chicken wings with honey mustard were also good .
Very slow service and poor quality
Very slow service. Insufficient staff and poor quality pizzas and food. Menu has become very gimicky too. Really going downhill. Won’t be surprised when they are closing sites in the near future, unless they can turn it around quickly!
Probably our last visit
Probably our last visit. Used to be regulars with offers and discounts it was always worth a trip. Went after a break with our app loaded with offers .. because we had ordered the £50 for 4 deal (which is really for two!) we couldn’t use any offers. (Which we only ordered because they were showing on the app as our offers.) instead tried using blue light discount but couldn’t use any offer codes. The bill came to £82 for 4, but was really food for two. We were going to order desserts but at £8-10 per dessert we gave it a miss. Prices have gone up massively, pizzas used to be £12-16 but are now £20-25. It was an absolute rip off and not that nice either. So disappointing as we used to be huge fans. Glasses and table were filthy. Plymouth.
Lovely Bday Experience
Had such a great time at pizza express for my birthday! The staff was very friendly and informative! I got great deals and would highly recommend visiting this branch.
Yummy
We’re regulars at the Sunningdale branch. Staff are very friendly (always get a wave from the nice chef!) and food is always delicious.
