Garbage data, never pays for it. They invent stuff

Highly inaccurate data, and extremely overpriced with aggressive billing practices. They lost a lot more than just our business, and we directed four other PE firms away from them.

Your data is completely inaccurate. You should at least make an effort to check before you post bogus shit on your website.

I tried working with the company. It was alright until I start getting negative balances from completing my tasks. The after giving me a long extension, they suspended my account.

Be Careful of scammers offering a too good to be true remote job offering you make $50-$450. Only to make you port in your own USD to fund their shady scam saying supposedly no to worry it would a temporary balance. Luckily only an idiot can't see through their shady tactics of contacting you through WhatsApp as a female who flirts with you to try to lower your guard and make the scam seem legit. All you weak men be weary. And stay as far away from this scam the minute you see it.

Really bad experience. Can't figure out how save lists works and the UI and UX is awful. I got no time for this.

I recently came across PitchBook after seeing they offered a “Free Trial Before You Buy.” My initial excitement quickly turned into disappointment and frustration. From the moment I showed interest, I was bombarded by sales representatives who flat-out told me that they do not actually offer a free trial. Their justification? They claim that their platform contains “confidential information” and therefore cannot be risked in a free trial environment.

This contradictory stance—advertising a free trial and then insisting they don’t provide one—seems completely unethical. If a company truly values transparency and credibility, why mislead potential customers with a promotion that doesn’t exist? It makes one seriously question the authenticity of the data they claim to have and whether it’s really “confidential” at all. The entire experience left me doubting the caliber of their information and the honesty of their customer approach.

In my opinion, if PitchBook can’t be upfront about something as simple as a free trial, how can anyone be confident in any of their other claims or data? It’s a red flag for any business relationship. Save yourself the time, effort, and frustration, and look for more trustworthy platforms that actually deliver what they promise.

The best provider in the industry. They have no competitors. This includes the one everyone admires.

Beware of these scammers. they send phishing unsolicited emails saying we had engaged their services but we did not. They must scrape data from linked in and find company indivduals to focus their attention. They then attempt to threaten and bully companies into services they haven't enagaged. I will report and file complaints.

I am very disappointed that they repeatedly restricts access due to a limit on the number of available browsers. I have only one browser on one laptop, and this issue has been unresolved for years! UPDATE: They removed this restriction from my account.

This company is incredible. We didn't respond to their annoying requests to publish our data on their website, and then THEY FAKED THAT WE WROTE THEM AN EMAIL REQUESTING LOGIN DETAILS to which they - of course - responded. Very shady company, would never rely on their data!

PitchBook seems to be a company who encourages spam.
I’ve had multiple spam messages saying they “found me on pitchbook”, and I wish it would stop.

False advertising, the "Free Trial" is not a trial its a forced demo and getting bombarded with call and emails

I am writing this review to urgently address and highlight significant legal concerns with PitchBook's practices regarding data accuracy and privacy compliance. PitchBook is displaying incorrect company information and, more alarmingly, personal details that I believe are not compliant with the GDPR. Moreover, the company is aware that the information they are displaying is wrong, to force you to create a profile on their website.

My attempts to rectify this situation through several amicable requests for the removal or correction of this data have unfortunately been met with inaction. This disregard not only undermines the trust in PitchBook's commitment to data accuracy and privacy but also raises serious legal questions about their adherence to GDPR, a fundamental privacy and security law. PitchBook refers to their proper ToS/T&C as if they are above the law, but at no point have we ever given consent to use this information. On the contrary, we requested the removal of our company's profile on their website, including the publicly displayed personal information.

It is incomprehensible and unacceptable that PitchBook would choose to ignore explicit requests from businesses and individuals seeking to protect their legal rights and personal privacy. Their policy of creating and maintaining company profiles against the explicit wishes of those companies further exacerbates this issue, directly contravening established privacy regulations.

This situation demands immediate attention and action from PitchBook. Compliance with GDPR is not optional; it is a legal requirement designed to safeguard personal information and privacy rights in the digital age. I strongly urge PitchBook to reconsider its approach to data management and privacy compliance to prevent potential legal consequences and to restore confidence in its platform.

Their company culture is very toxic, based on how I have witnessed staff members behaving with members of the public. Harassment and violence seen on video footage performed by an employee have me questioning whether the business is trustworthy.

The free trial is actually a demonstration, not a great way to start a relationship with a misconceiving statement.

Waste of time and money, both directly (high fees, poor quality) and indirectly (you put an analyst to work with the "database" and almost no information is correct)!

Scammy and reportable:
They advertised on their website "free trial".So, I got in touch with them and got a first call with them where they gathered tons of intelligence about myself and my professional interests. At the end of the call, they guaranteed I qualify for a free trial and pointed me to an employee to give me the walkthrough of the platform so "it's easier for me to navigate during the trial period". So I took the second call, to only be informed that they do not offer trials but walkthroughs that they give over the call to see if I like what they have or not. I explained that a walkthrough where I don't get to try things for myself cannot help me understand how pitchbook can be of a value for me in my day-to-day work so kindly asked for a couple days of actual free trial, as advertised in their website. Since they person in contact I was discussing with was not willing to offer such a help I asked them if I could discuss with their supervisor to explain why the walkthrough is not of a help for me. They did not provide this information and they informed that if I want to try things for myself the pricetag is 20k euros. To conclude: a misleading communication end to end: from the website ad "free trial" to hook you up and gather intelligence about you, to have a second call with them and tell you "if you want to try things, pay". Complete loss of time and absence of customer understanding. Scammy (trial comes from "try" folks) and reportable.

Used pitchbook but found that while the information was informative the majority of it was provided by biased sources. When I tried to pay and eventually exit the relationship what a nightmare. No replies, no meetings scheduled and sketchy customer service. Got a reference number (because they have a unexpected surge in activity) but never a call back. Scheduled a meeting with my PM but he missed it. Strongly suggest based on my personal experience that you spend your money elsewhere.
