Excellent service
Excellent service. My pool guy comes to clean today. So I txt him to let him know we noticed a little algae last night. He wasn’t working today because he was sick. But he took the time to let the replacement know of the issue. Then he txt me back when he was done to let me know the steps that were taken to correct the problem. I call that Awsome!
Beware of the US 1 Store
Took water to the store up on Gatlin and they gave me the chemicals that my pool needed shock and chlorine. Two days later my son took my water down to the store on US1 and they told my son that there was so much wrong with my pool water and sold him a bunch of crap to put in the pool, printed him out a page and he charged a fortune for products, my son followed the directions they printed out and he put all the crap they sold him in the water and now my pool is brown diarrhea in color. I took the water up to another store and the guy was shocked with the directions that they gave me at the US 1 store when my levels were not bad. He apologized for what the US 1 store did to my son. From the water that they tested for me the first time and me adding chemicals made my pool perfect. The store on us1 screwed with my son, had him buy 120 in chemicals and now I have diarrhea colored water. He is going to the first Pinch a penny store on Gatlin to find out what truely is wrong with my water. Is the US1 store going to pay to change the water in my pool.
I went to store #93 to have my water…
I went to store #93 to have my water tested when the associate walked out of the stockroom, never once spoke to me with a “ hello” or a “ what can I do for you” only spoke to me when I asked a question! This store has the most unfriendly associates that I have ever encounter!
Just bought 1 lb of CYA stabilizer
Just bought 1 lb of CYA stabilizer, and I could have purchased it a Walmart for half of what they charged.
No maintenance instead of low maintenance
Pinch a Penny has been cleaning my saltwater pool for 2 years. This is the first time we have ever had algae growing on the fiberglass walls. Salt water + fiberglass should result in low maintenance but not no maintenance. I've called them 3 times and have yet to receive any corrective action. Hopefully, this company cares enough to contact us and make it right. Been screwed up for the past 3 weeks.
Store #50 - Excellent Job!
Store #50
Excellent customer service and a job well done on my pool. They did a great job diamond brightening my pool. Very pleased with the work!!
It's sad I went to two differant Stores…
It's sad I went to two differant Stores in my area to get a quote on a heat pump. 1- I was compltely ignord standing at the counter. Two other people walked in with water samples they help them before even acknowlaged me on on my way out th door! 2- Owner was more worried about where the display was at yelling at a worker there that was trying to help me, so I just left. I have used P a P for many years, this encounter with 2 differant stores put a vary vary bad taste! I will never use another! Sad that this is the kind of service you get these days.
Great Customer Service. Very knowledgeable
Customer service was superb. I went to the Pinch A Penny on Taft in Hollywood, FL. I brought my pool cleaner in since I was having issues with it working properly. The gentleman there took it apart and checked it out for me. He found there was nothing wrong and did not charge me a penny. He gave me advice as to what to check that could be wrong. I came home and changed to hose to the cleaner and it started working beautifully. Super happy. Extremely appreciated their honesty and help in resolving my issue. Thank you.
Bait and Switch and Overpriced
Pinch A Penny in Punta Gorda used bait and switch advertising on a Barracuda G3. Also, all of their merchandise is blatantly overpriced. Just shop around and you’ll see. The name “Pinch a Penny is an oxymoron. Nothing they sell pinches Pennys, just the opposite. Everything in the store is premium priced. Don’t be fooled!
Advertising a G3 pool cleaner for $259 but you actually have to pay $309. Then they give you a $50 card that you can use in the store to buy their overpriced merchandise. For example diaphragms for the G3 2 for $39.00(not barracuda factory part but 3rd party per packaging) anywhere else 10.99 for the exact same items. If you really want to “ pinch Penny’s “ shop elsewhere.
don't expect a call back ever
I had a pump motor installed through the San Antonio Blanco location and was initially happy. Last year i contacted them about upgrading my filter but after a couple tries never had anyone return my call. A few weeks ago the pump motor died again and i called to have it replaced a second time but like before never received a return call. So I ordered the motor from Ktool and did the job myself. I discovered that one of the thumb screws that holds the pump cover on was missing only to find it was a plastic one and had lodged itself into the pump where they water passes through. Additionally when i was removing the motor itself the bottom bolt was very very loose as though he had only tightened 3 of the 4 bolts
Store 041, South Dixie Highway
I've been going to this store for over 40 years. This is the first time I've had a problem. Looks like a newly implemented system short-changed me on my chlorine rewards. Showed the receipts to 'Becca' and was taken back by the extremely rude and unprofessional encounter. It's math, 2-1 does not equal 2, except for Becca. Not the cheapest in terms of chemicals, but I'm willing to spend a little more for good service. However unacceptable service will not be tolerated. Staff behind the water testing bench are always cool.

I was outside this ladies spa just bird watching and she comes out and starts yelling at me! Something about invasive recording like her son or something.. Anyways, I recommend staying away!
Pinch a Penny store#1457 has the most…
Pinch a Penny store#1457 has the most helpful young man working there. His name is Kobe, he helped me with all my pool needs. Very knowledgeable.
Rudest owner if pinch a penny Englewood Fl!
As a recent widow we have used Pinch a penny since 2017. I have never, ever been treated like dirt, talked down to yelled at by any company like the pinch a penny englewood store! Actually yelling at me, leaving me with no pool service and flat out saying we don’t want your business! I plan on calling corporate! Pinch a penny are franchises so don’t mistake another pinch a penny which is good with the rudest most arrogant person, the pinch a Penney I’m talking about is in Englewood,Fl on access st!

Customer service
I spoke with Braxton to order a very hard to locate O ring. Professional & pleasant, he went the extra mile to ensure I received the part by Saturday. Please recognize this young man for his perfect customer service
Terrible store services.
It took a month to get appointment with them to replaced my pool motor.
On Aug 5th Scott replaced my pool motor. But it was leaking profusely. I had to feel my in ground swimming pool twice. I've spoke to Lisa and Kelly at the store, who said Scott wont be back for a month. I went to see my lawyer named Boykins and paid $300 to send demand letter to them on 11/9/22. By Nov 14, 1922 I received a ltr from Scott saying that he fixed the motor and no longer leaking.
It's ridiculous for 2 to 3 months before getting service from them...My mistake was I did'nt profile their company before using them. Besides I have a stroke 3 months ago 7/3/22 and a Veitnam veteran. I should receive a bit of consideration. God bless you all.
Bad service OVER BILLING
I sent 2 emails last week and called the office (352)315-111 cancelling my service in August and asked to stopping billing. You had billed me $125 on September 3 on the 7920 credit card and you did refund the $125 on September 9.
BUT you billed me again on October 3. I called the office 12 days ago and you said you would credit back and stop billing. I have NOT received the credit back and I need you to credit back and STOP further billing.
So credit back the $125.00 charge on my credit card ending in 7920 please.
I cancelled because you replaced a T-Cell 14 months ago which was bad now, covered under warrantee - your tech took it back to the shop and verified the T-Cell was bad about a month ago. I waited a month for the replacement T-Cell and finally called another service, got the T-Cell replaced by them. I therefore do not need your service since you did NOT provide good service. Your tech is great and I had no problems with him, just you did NOT replace the defective part in a MONTH.
Every Pinch a Penny can be different. It's a franchise.
I have always had good service at the Pinch a Penny in Titusville, other stores mediocre. The prices are higher than online this I agree. The biggest problem Pinch a Penny has they are a franchise. You can have one owner somewhere out to price gouge and out to make the biggest buck they can. Another Pinch a Penny next town over or even in same town can be about customers and take pride in their business offer discounts, well trained employees. This is what I have found in the Titusville Store. I was confused about some issues and told about the pool school they offer. My biggest suggestion if you have bad service at one check out another. And some stores offer more services than others.
Crappy customer service …
I bought 7 containers of liquid chlorine. It didn't clean up my pool. They said I needed more. But the guy hired to clean didn't recommend it. I tried to bring back and they refused. Of course they did not tell me it wasn't returnable when I got it. I told them I would keep ateadt 2 for maintenance and just return 4. Still no. I will NEVER buy from this company ever again. I will buy online. I so had their repair people come out to check the pool issues and clean it. They wanted $800. I hired another company and they charged $375. They did a great job. Their company will rob you blind. Don't use them!!!!
