Alex was very professional dealing with my enquiries for an interest only mortgage, and despite not being able to find an offer that suited me due to my unusual personal circumstances, I will definitely use them again when I need a new mortgage

Gave me the confidence to finally buy my first house

I’d been putting off starting the house buying process for a while because it felt pretty daunting. I came across Picnic Mortgages by chance and decided to book a free call just to see what it was about.

From the first call with Cameron, I felt a lot more confident about actually going ahead with it. The ongoing support from James, Faye and Shannon throughout getting my mortgage sorted and understanding the buying process was genuinely solid. Glynn has also been really helpful in explaining the different insurance options without overcomplicating things.

You could probably find cheaper mortgage advisors out there, but the level of support here makes a difference; you get what you pay for hands down. Having a full team involved, everything organised in one place on the dashboard, and regular updates made the whole process a lot smoother than I expected.

Overall, a really good experience, couldn’t really as for more to be honest, and I’d definitely recommend them.

I’ll be in touch in 5 years time when my fixed terms up 😉

Highly unprofessional experience - caused significant delays and extra

Initially they seemed very professional but then everything end up in a nightmare
1. My mortgage advisor request a CML that was wrong and I had to contact an independent mortgage advisor from mortgage bureau that had a phone call with the lender and told has how to CML should look, because we send the wrong CML i got delay over one month
2. Secondly , I keep chasing for updates and looks like they never try to sort the issue, been waiting for 2 weeks since the last CML for a lender response and I asked specifically my mortgage advisor to give them a call because I was hoping to move this month , still no response he is ignoring my phone call and messages and as a result I have to move in accommodation
3. If the person assigned to my case is on holiday then no one will peak the case
4. On your first phone call you are promised a life time product but there is no document to state that, not that I would want it after this experience as I start the application ( to the lender ) at the end of January and in April there is no sign of it getting done anytime soon

Remortgage made easy

I had a really positive experience with Picnic throughout my remortgage process. From start to finish, the team were professional, responsive, and very knowledgeable.
They helped me secure a remortgage on my property and also arranged additional funding at a very competitive rate, taking the time to explain my options clearly and making sure everything was tailored to my needs. The communication was excellent — I always knew what was happening and what the next steps were.
What stood out most was how smooth and stress-free they made what can often be a complicated process. I felt well supported throughout, and the outcome exceeded my expectations.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Picnic to anyone looking for a remortgage or extra funding. A great service all round.

Good guidance and professional

My experience with Picnic has been positive - communication has been good for the most part and everyone I have interacted with has been very friendly and knowledgeable on their related areas. If you know very little about the homebuyer process and need a guiding hand I would recommend looking into their service.

Took all to stress away

A much needed held by the hand experience for myself who was a first time buyer. Navigating in regards to buying a home was made simple, easy and quick. Matt was helpful to the questions asked and kept us on track for what we were wanting. Genuinely, this was much less stressful and quicker than I had initially geared myself up for. They found a good deal, never felt I was over paying for anything, the team found me a great life insurance quote too and made it seem like a walk in the park.

5/5 stars for all involved, I would recommend.

Fantastic

Using the amazing Picnic team to broker and arrange everything concerning the purchase of my home was such an easy decision to make and we'll worth the fee...I had a few bumps on my journey (due to my accountant etc) but with the help of Chloe and Nicholas my mortgage was arranged. They have all been very helpful, informative, polite, professional and extremely supportive aswell as understanding of my situation. The portal has also been extremely important in receiving/sendingmessages and documents aswell as just 'touching base' with regular updates...very happy and over the moon with all the support I have received...keep up the good work

Working with PicNic felt like a breath of fresh air.

Before finding them, I had paid for a solo broker (no names mentioned), and unfortunately the experience didn’t go well — I almost lost my money.

Then I found PicNic. Although we didn’t secure my first mortgage offer due to an issue with the property, the team supported me every step of the way. When I found my second property, they were right there again, helping me secure my mortgage offer.

I’m genuinely very grateful for all the support throughout the process.

Good broker, nagging for reviews!

On the whole picnic have been very good, the initial calls were very easy and Layne from Insurance in particular was great. The website is easy to use. It has felt at times that I'm being passed off to someone else over and over, seems there's someone new for every stage but keeping with 1 or 2 would have felt better. As a result of this passing around one of our email addresses was set incorrectly resulting in some random member of the public being asked for pictures of my house, to which I had to ask twice for it to be amended. Also the automated daily messages to leave reviews is way too pushy and casts a shadow over all that is good.

You’ve also raised a couple of really fair points that we'd like to try to clarify. Our mortgage process does involve having specialists at different stages (advice, protection, case management, etc.), which helps ensure each part is handled by someone who lives and breathes that part of the journey. That said, we completely understand if it felt like you were being passed around. Rest assured, we’re always working to improve continuity, so this feedback is welcome.

The email address mix-up definitely shouldn’t have happened, and having to ask twice to get it corrected must have been frustrating. Not ideal at all, and big apologies from us on this.

And point taken on the review reminders. We're always keen for our customers to share with us how they feel about our service, but if they’ve come across as a bit over-enthusiastic, that’s also useful feedback. The last thing we want is for that to overshadow an otherwise good experience.

Really appreciate you highlighting both the good bits and the bits we can do better on. It genuinely helps us improve.
