pickstreet helps you decide where to live in England, before you start viewing homes. Tell us where you need to get to and what you can spend. pickstreet ranks the neighbourhoods you can reach by train, bus or car, and shows why each one fits: what a typical home costs, how long the journey takes, how safe and quiet the streets are, and how close you are to green space, shops and a GP. Every area, postcode and street has its own page, with recent sales and typical prices from HM Land Registry, crime, noise and flood risk, council tax, and who lives there from the Census. If schools matter to you, pickstreet shows each school's results, its catchment and, where councils publish it, how far from the school the last child offered a place lived. Save the places you like to a shortlist and compare them side by side. Everything is built from public data: HM Land Registry, the ONS, police.uk, the Department for Education, the Environment Agency and councils across England.
