I’ve used a largish number of photo restoration/rescue packages, and while all have worked to some extent, this one is streets ahead of the rest. Even the colorisation of black and white photos works pretty well, though one has to watch out for thin fingers looking dead. Though even that is a minor problem as the retouch function cures it in seconds. Another thing I really appreciate is that when a save a photo I’ve worked on it adds - edited, after the title. All in all it’s a valuable addition to my graphic armoury, at a price that won’t break the bank.

In addition to the software working as advertised, the customer service is great. I had an installation issue, which was a problem I created on my side, and when I contacted customer service I received a prompt reply from Arthur and he got me up and running. Everything is working smoothly and I am able to restore my old slides, negatives and photos. Thank you.

I have just begun using photoglory. It is too early to provide an indepth review, but have found it easy to access and use. My initial efforts have produced quick results and have allowed me to make adjustments where necessary. I think it will provide me great results the more I use.

I am passionate about old photos that I discover in my family and in old bazaars. This program allowed me to restore the former glory to photos taken 60 or even 80 years ago. The program is simple and intuitive. Thanks to him, the world of photography went back to the last century, bringing a smile to your face. I'm adding my 6th star to the 5 stars.

I found this software great for restoring the photos and coloring photos for my genealogy project of my family
I find photo glory is very user friendly and is great for repairing photos before using photo works for editing. the price is excellent for retired users like me and i am looking forward to the next version. I highly recommend photo glory

The program is OK, but their sales tactics are not. Do not accept anything this company offers for free in the way of upgrades, because they are not free. When you go to use the program again, nothing has changed except the demand to pay for something that was offered for free, you won't even be able to use the original program, unless you kept the original download and pass key, in which case you can remove the program from you hard drive and reinstall it using your old download and key. Their sales tactics stink.

Things I wish I knew about PhotoGlory before buying it.
1. They reduce the density when you import a photo. By a LOT. The first one I tried was 3,975 KB. PhotoGlory reduced it to 539 KB. That’s a lot of quality loss if I want to later blow it up for printing.
2. It’s great they allow rotation in fractions of degrees, but when you rotate, they crop it a tiny bit.
3. Auto restoration is sloooooooow, and removes way too much texture. A sandy beach becomes a featureless surface, and freckles disappear. And why does it return a result the size of a postage stamp?
4. There is no ‘Save As’ option, you have to export as a jpeg or whatever.
6. It seems to me this was built by people who are pretty good at image processing tools, but not so great with user interface. It could be a lot more intuitive. It looks more like a beta version than something ready for sale. And the tutorial is just a quick overview. There should be a user’s guide. I don’t want to wade through youtube tutorials hoping they’ll answer my questions – I want to read a user’s guide.
EDIT:
On some photos, the auto-restore feature (Restore Old Photo) fixed some blemishes, but created significant new ones. And on some other photos, blemishes were introduced just by opening the photo, not even trying to restore them.
I brought all this to the attention of customer service, and the reply was basically, "that's the way it is". In their defense, they are set up to help people use the tool, not to answer about defects on the software.
EDIT: reply to photoglory.net: Ticket number was 146577. But this isn't a case of your support team not doing their jobs; it's a case of the software having serious deficiencies.

I have been using Photoshop for many years, and one must use Photoshop almost daily to retain the skills. Photo Glory has a simpler user interface. Once I took a picture and left everything on Auto. Photo Glory fixed the photo taken in 1976 so well that I was completely amazed. I didn't need to use advanced techniques to retouch anything.
Last but not least. The price of Photo Glory is pleasant. You get a lot for your money.

The advertising is misleading and the support is non-existent. There are three packages but it is not clear from the website that the Restore Old Photo feature only comes with the most expensive Pro package. So I downloaded the second most expensive option, only to find that I need to pay more to upgrade. I paid the extra, deleted the old installation and downloaded the Pro version, or so I thought. The second download was identical to the first, so I cannot use the feature I wanted. I contacted support and raised a ticket- no response. I chased support - no response. I spent hours manually retouching the photo but the results are nowhere near the standard they advertise. Really disappointing

The timely response for the most part, understanding the amount of help that is needed from others, and solving my needs quickly. As a fairly new user, I have been completely satisfied thus far. I have enjoyed using the PhotoGlory and PhotoWorks very much and am very satisfied with the software. Thank you!!

I have been using PhotoGlory Pro for the past 3 years to digitize and restore old paper family photos from years past. For me, it has been a powerful and time-saving editing tool for that very purpose. I used it for both BW and color photos with amazing results. I especially like the batch processing feature to colorize multiple BW photos. The UI is quite intuitive and the collection of special effects is pretty diverse. I also use it for regular editing of my smartphone photos like retouching, object removal, background changes and vignetting. Very nice!

Amazing program, saves time and effort in automatically colourising monochrome photos into colour - you can even change the intensity of the colours and correct any colouring you wish to change - amongst many other photographic corrections needed to mend and recolour old photos. I would not be without it, I highly recommend this program from AMS Software, you can even colourise a whole folder of photos. I am amazed and really thankful I bought PhotoGlory I wouldn't do without it. Do not hesitate to buy if you get the chance - great price too.
I have a ton of pictures from my 20 years in the army
1958-1978 so most are B/W. I'm having fun the coloring. Oh I'm now 84.
It is just amazing to be able to add the dimension of color into old pictures. And which such quality and ease of use, that's what photoglory does. Tried some other software to obtain the optimal quality in colorising but photoglory is the summit!

I have been using Photoglory 3.5 software for some time to enhance and repair thousands of old family photographs, some taken in 1870. Being halfway through my project, AMS Software advised that they had upgraded to version 4. Unfortunately, I was unable to upgrade and so logged a call for assistance. As promised, within 24 hours, my issue was resolved. A pleasure to deal with a company like AMS.

I have tried a range of photo restoration softwares over the years, some free and some costing a fee.None really worked. I am totally untrained in photography, so perhaps it was my fault they didn`t work.
I saw an advert for PhotoGlory and decided to give it a try. The results were amazing. I am working on home black and white photos from the 1940`s, all in poor, condition. I found I was able to restore them easily, remove blemishes and colourise them with one click. The software comes with tutorials which I found very helpful. I feel I have much more to learn about the scope of the software, changing backgrounds, modifying colours manually, and adding text. For me it is the easiest software to use, with great results.
Well done to the Developers of PhotoGlory Software.
Joe.
Does what it says it will do. Fun restoring really very old photos and then making a "Talking Photo Album" and putting on YouTube.
Good product.
This product is unbelievable! Take a black and white photo and with one click of a button, it's colorized. Does a very good job predicting the color scheme of clothes and other items within photos. I belong to a group on facebook that has many black and white pictures. As tests, and to help the group, I colorized a few of the photos there. Everyone that saw them was awestruck, and thought I spent hours or days colorizing the photos. Nope! Just a few clicks with this software and you've got a colorized photo. And when or if it gets some colors wrong Photo Glory provides the necessary tools to make your own corrections. The software works so well, I would pay double the price knowing what it can do. I'm not affiliated with the company nor compensated in any way. Just a very impressed customer!
Photoglory lets you correct phot imperfections plus a lot more. It has editing and effects capabilties that are available in much more expensive editing software.
Photoglory is easy to use and provides excellent results.
I highly recommend it.
