Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 1,113 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently praise the staff for their exceptional patience, knowledge, and encouraging approach, making the learning process enjoyable and effective. Many highlight the clear and tailored instructions provided, which greatly contributes to their success in passing tests on the first attempt. The overall service is described as excellent, with people appreciating the well-maintained, modern bikes and the supportive environment created by the team. However, some customers also noted that while instructors are generally knowledgeable, occasional instances of yelling instructions over the radio and unclear communication about errors increased the likelihood of mistakes. A few other people also felt that one particular instructor lacked patience and that their communication style was not always effective during training.

Thank you all especially Sean

The staff were absolutely amazing and really helpful, I had about a month left on my theory test and my CBT and these guys booked me in and got me a pass! Sean especially was amazing really fun guy to ride with and learn from, not as scary as he looks, especially when his beard gets parted by the wind! Really easy going really kind staff and 100% will be returning to do my A license and have already recommended to someone I know wants to get his license.

Not something I usually do

Not something I usually do, but on this occasion I felt compelled to leave a review.
Everyone I came into contact with at Phoenix Motorcycle Training Chippenham, have been incredibly helpful from start to finish. From my very first phone call, where the whole process was clearly explained, to booking my DAS course for me, the service has been outstanding.
I would also like to make a special mention to my amazing instructor, Jason Sellars, who is an all round great guy. As someone who had never ridden a motorbike on the road before, Jason's clear explanations, guidance, and instructions instantly made me feel relaxed and comfortable. His passion and enthusiasm for motorcycling and road safety was clear to see throughout the three days I spent training with him and
I can't thank him enough🎺
I would highly recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training Chippenham to anyone considering learning to ride or taking their DAS course.

Exceptional. Hat tip Andy and Jorge and phoenix

Excellent CBT experience. I'd never ridden a manual bike before despite having automatic experience. Andy and Jorge were patient, reassuring, supportive and gave me the time and confidence to make mistakes and learn without any pressure. The other reviews speak for themselves and we're why I chose Phoenix, but I can't testify enough about the quality of the whole day with phoenix, and now I'm a proud CBT accredited rider. Thanks Andy and Jorge. Also, my bike had 2 miles on when I started so faultless kit.

The session was very good

The session was very good, equal amount of practical and theory. Instructor was knowledgeable and covered all points, bikes were ideal for the days riding. Easy parking, easy access and all round enjoyable.

Thank you for your review. We are unable to trace you as a customer so we would ask you to contact us with your real name.We take all feedback seriously and have traced what could be you in an incident at our centre however, it is important that we present the situation accurately.
On the day of training, there was no mechanical fault with the motorcycle. The battery issue occurred because the ignition was repeatedly left on with the engine off, despite clear instruction being given multiple times by the instructor. This was explained and demonstrated during the session, including the consequences of doing so. You confirmed at the time that you understood and had switched the bike off correctly, which unfortunately was not the case.
As part of CBT training, candidates are expected to follow basic operational instructions and take responsibility for their actions. While we fully recognise that learners are still gaining experience, repeated disregard of direct instruction ultimately led to the situation that occurred.
We also note that you acknowledged responsibility and apologised on the day in front of those present. It is therefore disappointing to now see the situation misrepresented as a fault on our part.
That said, we will make a reasonable effort to resolve this by offering to complete the road ride element at no additional training charge. This is a fair compromise given the circumstances and reflects our willingness to support you in completing you CBT.
We remain committed to delivering professional training and expect both instructors and trainees to engage responsibly in that process. Should you wish to proceed, we are happy to arrange a suitable date to complete your training.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my…

I’m writing this review on behalf of my son. He paid on the train to get there 30 miles. When he arrived he did everything needed then when had to do the rode ride the bike’s battery was dead and he was told they can’t bump start it he will have to come back at a later date and pay £99 to finish the training. He’s a young lad with his first job. He now has to have another day of work and loose money from days work and paying them £99 and paying the train again….. I’m absolutely gutted for him. After coming here to put a review and reading the negative reviews it’s all starting to make sense now… I am waiting for there reply and I will be taking this further. I would most definitely avoid this place and your children!!!! Shameful

I would highly recommend these guys!

From the word go, I was made to feel at ease for both my mod1 and mod2 training. Will and Sean were really positive and laid back. They were really great instructors, picking up on areas of improvement and providing the guidance to make that improvement. When it came to the tests, I was so well prepared that it felt really straightforward. Thanks guys!
