Thank you all especially Sean

The staff were absolutely amazing and really helpful, I had about a month left on my theory test and my CBT and these guys booked me in and got me a pass! Sean especially was amazing really fun guy to ride with and learn from, not as scary as he looks, especially when his beard gets parted by the wind! Really easy going really kind staff and 100% will be returning to do my A license and have already recommended to someone I know wants to get his license.

Not something I usually do

Not something I usually do, but on this occasion I felt compelled to leave a review.
Everyone I came into contact with at Phoenix Motorcycle Training Chippenham, have been incredibly helpful from start to finish. From my very first phone call, where the whole process was clearly explained, to booking my DAS course for me, the service has been outstanding.
I would also like to make a special mention to my amazing instructor, Jason Sellars, who is an all round great guy. As someone who had never ridden a motorbike on the road before, Jason's clear explanations, guidance, and instructions instantly made me feel relaxed and comfortable. His passion and enthusiasm for motorcycling and road safety was clear to see throughout the three days I spent training with him and
I can't thank him enough🎺
I would highly recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training Chippenham to anyone considering learning to ride or taking their DAS course.

Exceptional. Hat tip Andy and Jorge and phoenix

Excellent CBT experience. I'd never ridden a manual bike before despite having automatic experience. Andy and Jorge were patient, reassuring, supportive and gave me the time and confidence to make mistakes and learn without any pressure. The other reviews speak for themselves and we're why I chose Phoenix, but I can't testify enough about the quality of the whole day with phoenix, and now I'm a proud CBT accredited rider. Thanks Andy and Jorge. Also, my bike had 2 miles on when I started so faultless kit.

Thank you for your review. We are unable to trace you as a customer so we would ask you to contact us with your real name.We take all feedback seriously and have traced what could be you in an incident at our centre however, it is important that we present the situation accurately.
On the day of training, there was no mechanical fault with the motorcycle. The battery issue occurred because the ignition was repeatedly left on with the engine off, despite clear instruction being given multiple times by the instructor. This was explained and demonstrated during the session, including the consequences of doing so. You confirmed at the time that you understood and had switched the bike off correctly, which unfortunately was not the case.
As part of CBT training, candidates are expected to follow basic operational instructions and take responsibility for their actions. While we fully recognise that learners are still gaining experience, repeated disregard of direct instruction ultimately led to the situation that occurred.
We also note that you acknowledged responsibility and apologised on the day in front of those present. It is therefore disappointing to now see the situation misrepresented as a fault on our part.
That said, we will make a reasonable effort to resolve this by offering to complete the road ride element at no additional training charge. This is a fair compromise given the circumstances and reflects our willingness to support you in completing you CBT.
We remain committed to delivering professional training and expect both instructors and trainees to engage responsibly in that process. Should you wish to proceed, we are happy to arrange a suitable date to complete your training.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my…

I’m writing this review on behalf of my son. He paid on the train to get there 30 miles. When he arrived he did everything needed then when had to do the rode ride the bike’s battery was dead and he was told they can’t bump start it he will have to come back at a later date and pay £99 to finish the training. He’s a young lad with his first job. He now has to have another day of work and loose money from days work and paying them £99 and paying the train again….. I’m absolutely gutted for him. After coming here to put a review and reading the negative reviews it’s all starting to make sense now… I am waiting for there reply and I will be taking this further. I would most definitely avoid this place and your children!!!! Shameful

I would highly recommend these guys!

From the word go, I was made to feel at ease for both my mod1 and mod2 training. Will and Sean were really positive and laid back. They were really great instructors, picking up on areas of improvement and providing the guidance to make that improvement. When it came to the tests, I was so well prepared that it felt really straightforward. Thanks guys!

Passed my CBT today and couldn’t be happier. Marc was a brilliant instructor—friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything clearly and helped me feel confident both on and off the bike. Thanks to his excellent guidance, I would highly recommend this training school to anyone looking to complete their CBT, especially if you get the chance to learn with Marc. Thanks again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Instructor very knowledgeable but…

Instructor very knowledgeable but yelling instructions for the 2 hour ride through the radio increased the likelihood of error. It was not usually clear who he was telling off as he didn't use names and therefore the error likelihood increased. Disapointed as have never had this experience before with Phoenix.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent training experience. I am sorry it did not meet your expectations and mirror your previous 3 experiences with us you have had since 2022. I have asked the instructor, whom you have had before, to let me know what the issues were. I will come back to you once he has replied to me.
UPDATE
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m really sorry to hear that this experience didn’t meet the high standard you’ve come to expect from Phoenix.
We’re pleased to hear you found the instructor knowledgeable, but we do apologise for the way the communication came across during your ride. We understand how important clear, calm, and directed instruction is — particularly over a prolonged session — and we appreciate how the lack of names and perceived raised voice may have caused confusion or discomfort.
Following your review, we’ve spoken with the instructor. He has explained that there were some challenges during the ride, including occasional headset connectivity issues, which can sometimes require speaking more loudly to ensure instructions are received in real-time for safety reasons. That said, we fully recognise that regardless of the circumstances, communication should always feel clear, supportive, and professional.
We’re also sorry if at any point it wasn’t clear who instructions were directed toward. That’s something we take seriously, as it’s essential for both safety and confidence while riding.
Your feedback is genuinely appreciated and helps us to continue improving our service. We’re glad to hear that overall riding performance was strong, and we hope this experience doesn’t overshadow your previous positive interactions with us.
If you’d like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we’d really value the opportunity to restore your confidence in us.
