Love the league and the scoring system. Would tweek waivers..

I love this league. I really like the following.
-The scoring system with decimals. Every play counts for every player. Even the kickers. This almost eliminates ties.
-This is my first Dynasty league and it's so fun. Changes the way I think about adds drops and the age of my players.
-I like the victory points. I believe it rewards the consistent teams.
-The commisioner vetoing trades is nice too. I've been in some leagues where fair trades were voted down because the other teams just didn't want a team to better itself. Even if the trades helped both teams and were fair.
-The payout % looks very nice.
-The commisioner is on top of questions and sends out helpful hints. Thanks...

There are a couple of things that I believe could be tweeked.
-Overall I like the waiver system and the bidding process. That is very interesting and a nice twist over standard re-draft leagues. However, I believe that a player dropped on Wednesday night should be available for the upcoming week's games. Maybe if waivers went through on Wednesday morning and there was a 24 hour waiver period.... I beilieve this would be fair for everyone and allow that player to be used the week he is droppped.

Thank you..

Michael

Overall I Like It

I love that I was able to create a league, with the criteria I wanted. I love all the stats. There are a few issues:

1) Week 5 waiver wire ran 2 hours before the submission deadline, meaning some teams probably didn't have their waiver requests in.

2) Score keeping is slower than on ESPN or RTS. It is usually 1-2 minutes slower before scores are updated.

3) The chat page is separate from the scoreboard page. Also on the chat screen the last entry is on the top and the entry line is on the bottom, meaning you have to scroll each time someone posts a comment and then scroll back to the bottom to type.

I will probably be back next season because Phenoms has some settings that other FFL hosting sites don't and I like that.

Thanks,
Curtis

PhenomsFF is well run, customer oriented, and offers a wide variety of leagues.

I started playing fantasy football in 1984, in Pittsburgh. Our league was $500 a year. At that time leagues were run out of bars and restaurants, or the commissioner's house, and were basically points for scoring only. Of course drafts were live rather than online. One league started in a well known restaurant/sports bar in the 90s, was my first points for scoring, yards, etc., had 12 teams at $2500 a year. When I relocated from Pittsburgh in 2010, it had grown to 48 teams at $6500 each. You can imagine how very well run that league had to be. It was great. My next leagues were PhenomsFF. I was sure no other leagues could ever compare with the league I had left. I was wrong. Phenoms is even more user friendly, and just as well run. What's even more surprising is Phenoms has a personal touch that compares to our league which continued to be a live league, where everyone knew the commissioner, and many of the team owners were friends or neighbors or coworkers. I plan to move back to Pittsburgh soon. When I do I might play the live league, but I will definitely continue to play Phenoms as well.

Do not like the football website at all, sorry. Others feel the same.

I don't write catchy headers

Very well run, lots of fantasy football league types, and a wide enough client base to fill the leagues consistently. The competition is as strong. Transactions are simple and painless. Payouts are quick, and the ratio of fees to payout is very fair. a real good place to play fantasy sports

Great fantasy experience, but horrible site layout.

Overall I've enjoyed playing fantasy football on Phenoms, but I find the league home page incredibly frustrating to navigate. It needs to be simplified, there's too many links. I find that doing simple things like viewing the latest transactions, checking live scoring results, or just checking out another team's roster requires a lot of clicking, and trial and error just to finally get to where I want to go. It just needs to be cleaned up a bit - maybe even have some redundancies taken away. For example, if I click on the link "Roster" to look at my team it would be great if I could change my lineup from that page without having to click on a completely separate link.

Everything is incredibly well done

I have used this site for 4 or 5 years - so many options, so efficient, so trustworthy. The commissioner is so accessible. I can not thing of one thing I would complain about!

Great site. Some issues.

Like the site very much. Waivers are more complicated than they need to be. Players dropped one week aren't available till the next week rather than be placed through the waivers process like other sites. The waiver process could be streamlined but other than that it's a great site in my opinion.

Not very user friendly

This is my first year with phenomsFF, and i find myself more confused with the interface everday. The menu options and submenus are very confusing compared to ESPN and others. Trying to find stats are difficult. Im sure once your used to it, it is ok, but overall i prefer the others for their ease of use.

Keith,

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the interface needs some serious work, and that work is being done. I'm sorry it wasn't ready for 2014 football, but it'll be launching for playoff NFL leagues and beyond.

The best money fantasy sports cite on the web

I love the formats. I do baseball and football leagues. There are a good variety of rules and money levels. I have won money and always receive money quickly. I'm hooked on Phenoms and would and have recommended to my friends.

Great league offerings but MFL site leaves me wanting Yahoo

Phenoms has great league offerings from PPR head to head to victory points all the way to draft and go! The only downfall is the myfantasyleague.com site is lacking in simplicity. It's as if mfl is trying to cram so much in that the basic needed info can be a pain in the ass to locate. On top of that, there's a one time charge to use the mobil app after the 2nd week. If Yahoo did PPR Pro leagues these guys would be in serious trouble. Again, Phenoms yeahhhh, MFL booooo!

Kent,

I feel your pain. Phenoms is building our own interface to address these problems, and while it wasn't ready for 2014 football, it is on track to be there for the playoff NFL leagues and 2015 baseball and beyond.

Great site with lots of league format options to choose from!

Nice site for your basic fantasy functions. The interactive draft tools and rankings linked with Fantasy Sharks was very helpful. It would be nice if there were rolling player rankings throughout the season. Also, as a dynasty virgin it would be helpful to have more information and separate rankings for Dynasty and keeper leagues. Maybe someway to value players based on there current production, age, team, etc.. Particularly when it comes to trading. Overall I would give the site a B+.

Solid and well run

I've participated in a number of Draft n Go leagues over the last few years. Execution has been flawless, from the live drafts to scoring and season end payouts.

Outdated formatting

Benches are too deep. Players basically have two teams and the free agent list is garbage. Players draft/claim guys they don't need just so others can't use. Why? Because they can. Nine on the bench is double the need.
Blind bidding on waivers is nonsense.

Waiver over, first come first serve. Done.

Weekly lineup setup options is good. Points system is good.

Accessing all categories/fields, player bio, team options etc. is disorganized, old formatted, sloppy... Website needs to be simplified, cleaned up, organized.

Almost good. Needs work, good potential.

Kyle,

We're developing our own league hosting platform for 2015 that will address all of the deficiencies in the appearance, navigation, and efficiency of managing your team. As to the deep benches, it does place more emphasis on drafting a strong team, and while there may not be studs on the waiver wire all the time, there are quality pickups to be made. Some sites roll with 20 man rosters! Worst-To-First is a waiver wire option if you're not a fan of blind bidding.

Great Job Managing Phenoms Leagues!

High percentage payout rates was the initial draw for me (this is huge), and I've been impressed with the solid customer service & league management. Great job!
