Avoid at all costs
Same as a recent reviewer. They sent me an email 25.8.25 to say registration was expiring (17 months after I purchased it,)
And asked for £18.95 to renew.
Just found out this is a scam. Do not pay any money to this firm
Should have taken notice before
Had a email from this company this morning stating my cats registration is up for renewal.will not do . have registered them with Petlog dog kennel.which is £18 for life.do not go anywhere near this company.should have checked them out before.

SCAM ARTISTS
It’s a year after having my pet that I received an email saying they will be unregistered and I need to update her details. I rang PetTrac (which is where I thought I had registered her) only to be told she is still registered with the breeder!! I am beyond shocked!!! This company are SCAM artists. I now have to start the process again. Shocking. They take your money and don’t change anything. BEWARE
Zero stars if I could
Zero stars if I could. Was with this company for a year and when it came to renew I realised it’s a total scam, money for nothing. My cats were not registered for the last year. Luckily got money back through pay pal. Left me at risk for £500 fine per cat. Avoid and got through recognised organisations.
Please don't use this website.
Please don't use this website.
It is a scam!!!! A one time transaction from your bank!!!
IT IS A SCAM!!!
This website is run by criminals and scammers . Do not use at any costs..
Same happened to me..I contacted the person concerned and they told me that they could see I had made a payment to kennel club. Kennel Club say they hadn't received any payment then I found an email with a link on it and thought it was the breeder sending me registration to update the microchip details in transfer of ownership so I clicked the link to pay then I noticed some discrepancies like incorrect telephone and sexed as female when it's a male cat. How on earth they got my contact details and email I don't know but after contacting the breeder who looked into it further turns out to be a fake website. It's also concerning as when I rang to report the problem they now have my pets microchip number.
Total scam paid £27 pounds for nothing…
Total scam paid £27 pounds for nothing lucky I realised and have cancelled my bankcard so no further money can be taken. AVOID DO NOT USE.......
unable to do zero
unable to do zero, this is a scam , im furious, i will do everything i can to get to the sad pathetic owners of this company. Preying on pet lovers for profit. causing sleepless nights worrying if your bank details have been exposed. And leaving them thinking their pet is covered should anything happen to them, shame on them!
SCAM - DO NOT REGISTER YOUR PET WITH PETCHIP.INFO
I got my dog in 2021 and the breeder had gave me petchip.info stating this is who she registered the dog with and I would need to update the details through. I paid the £18 and although receiving no confirmation I had a record of it on PayPal and went about my day.
It’s now May 2024 and my dog found a hole in the garden hedge (I didn’t notice it until it was too late) and got lost! I had also registered her at the vets and I thought if she was picked up someone would be able to read her chip as all her details from 2021 had not changed. SHE WAS NOT REGISTERED ON THE NATIONAL DATABASE! (She was at her vet practice but they weren’t who picked her up)
Luckily she was found within a day but the vet that she had been taken to confirmed she was not registered! I was so shocked I showed them the PayPal and cross referenced it with the day I got her and we both realised I had been scammed.
I was horrified, please please please do not use this site and use a registry that the gov.Uk advise.
PETCHIP.info - you make me sick, I dread to think how many pets are truly lost because they trusted you to register their fur babies.

Yes I was a fool too was in too much of a hurry to notice, now they took £21 to register a microchip that has come back as having 2 numbers missing, why us this company still here on google??😡😡😡

Paid a £17 subscription via PayPal for 9 years then received notification that my subscription needed reinstating. Emailed petchip but no response, then checked on another website to find that my dogs chip wasn’t registered on the uk national database. Have an appt to have her chipped again at my vets. Probably a scam from the beginning!
DO NOT GO NEAR PETCHIP!
DO NOT GO NEAR PETCHIP!
Less than 1 star - wish I'd read these reviews earlier.. this is as all reviews indicate a fraudulent site. I only found that out as I discovered my newly adopted cat did not in fact have a microchip, let alone the chip number the previous owner had given me!! I contacted pet chip when I discovered no chip in teh cat.. via their web site; no response, nd then via email, no response. Thank heavens for Pay Pal buyer protection- I've suggested PayPal remove this seller's paypal account and shared the Trust Pilot review page with PAypal. SO at least I got my money refunded by PayPal.
Pet Chip Details site misleading
Vet just informed me Pet Chip Details UK site is not a legit registry and this site is misleading the public. To be avoided.
Avoid petsmicrochip.com literally at all costs
I originally had my dog with pet trace microchip but needed to update new address
I went to do and ended up on a website called petmicrochip.com
I payed 27 gdp and was led to believe my dog would be registered globally
After a few days I noticed no online cert or one through post
I emailed smarttrace blaming them without even realising I payed a different company or was on a different site
Smarttrace took it upon themselves to investigate
They came back saying it’s fraudulent and also mine and dogs details are now public information
I am fuming but glad smarttrace used there own heads to investigate as I was really confused I still am
I was rude to smarttrace to ti which I also feel shame and they still helped
Please be wary this is the first time I’ve been scammed as I’m normally good with this stuff
I never though a pet chip could be scammed to
Thanks smarttrace
Avoid petsmicrochip at all costs literally
Think it's a scam
I've emailed Pet Chip Registry as I can't find any details of when I registered. They tried to take £18 last month but PayPal didn't pay it. I think I've been scammed like a lot of other people 😕 😪
Not DEFRA (UK) approved - do not use!
Got a dog last year which was registered with PETtrac, I googled them to update new ownership. This somehow took me onto petchip.info without me realising. £18 to change details, but it turns out petchip is not DEFRA-registered so if my dog went missing any legitimate UK chip sites would show previous owner’s details. Only came to light when they tried for another £18 and thankfully PayPal didn’t approve it. It’s a scam. They should never have taken my details (and money) when the chip wasn’t registered with them in the first place. My fault for not double-checking the site. Now back with PETtrac for £12 one-off fee.
If I could give 0 Stars
If I could give 0 Stars, I would! Stay far away from this company! Last year, I made the mistake of registering a pup with this company. When I tried to cancel it as soon as I realized it (within 30 minutes), I got zero response from multiple emails. I decided to just leave it and NOT renew it this year. This year rolls around and I get notification stating that Pet Chip charged my credit card WITHOUT authorization from me! I contacted Support and, surprise, “crickets”. No one is responding to me. They are stealing peoples money and refusing to respond to Customer Concerns and questions. I WILL be contacting ALL necessary individuals. (Bank, BBB, etc)
This site is not legitimate
I have just found out this site is not legitimate after five years.
My sister bought a dog and the site she had was different so I thought I'd put my chip number in to see what came up, which is how I found out.
Now had to pay again to get him transferred properly.
Feel a fool for falling for this after so long.
Scam shows details of previous owners
Looking up the chip number it shows details of name phone number and address of the previous owners surely that isn’t right. After looking into it with the rescue centre they say it’s a scam they just want money to update details with your own. This isn’t a legit company
