I’ve been ordering regularly with Pernia. The service and quality have been very consistent and meets expectations. Jigar Doshi has been very helpful and prompt in replying to my queries.

Henry provided excellent service!!
Mentally stressful wedding shopping experience
Update as of today :
- Bobby asked us to show the proof of revoking dispute to share it with payment team and after we did so for settlement with merchant he denied the refund.
- Pernias need to get better people on their team who do not scam and manipulate customers like this. For gods sake, I have spent over 8 lakh with them and ended up with faulty outfits.
- Bobby still hasn’t addressed the usage of signature unethically in dispute document
- I was left with no option to raise dispute but Pernia providing false and misleading statement , wrong signature has hampered my credibility
- this business doesn’t seem to work for customer support at all
Unethical behaviour by Pernias team has caused mental stress before and after wedding (Involves escalation manager Bobby, legal member Sohel, juhu store manager Tanya and stylist we worked with Dhwanil Vora)
This experience became even more disturbing when escalation manager Bobby and legal team member Sohel submitted misleading statements in legal/dispute documentation that completely contradicted what their own stylist Dhwanil Vora admitted during trials.
Dhwanil himself told us:
“Ma’am, the tailor made a mistake after alterations. Please give us a chance to fix it. I assure you we will deliver it properly before the wedding.”
However, Bobby and Sohel later dismissed everything as a “mere styling issue,” despite multiple failed alteration rounds, repeated reassurances, and obvious tailoring defects.
What was even more disturbing was their team allegedly monitoring not only our social media but even our wedding guests’ accounts to collect pictures and create a false narrative that the outfit was “acceptable” simply because I wore it — completely ignoring the fact that I had NO practical alternative left hours before my wedding. Bobby has the audacity to tell us “we did not force you” while delivering the outfit a night before wedding.
I think I shouldn’t have been too nice and given Pernias so many chances to fix it , I should have walked away and looked for a replacement
1. Blood-Stained Wedding Shoes
We received wedding shoes with visible blood stains and had to repeatedly fight just to get a refund. Because of this delay, we lost the chance to properly break in replacement shoes before the wedding.
2. Groom’s Outfit NEVER Delivered
The groom’s outfit was made in the wrong color despite repeated discussions and no proper swatch confirmation.
The outfit was sent for rework just 15 days before the wedding. Jigar kept assuring us it would arrive on time, then stopped responding 2–3 days before the event while we had no backup ready.
The outfit was NEVER delivered for the wedding functions at all, leaving the groom with no time to arrange an alternative.
Even after failing to deliver the outfit, the team initially tried offering STORE CREDIT instead of accountability. We didn’t deserve to go through this stress during wedding, after two months they agreed to do full refund to credit card.
3. Bridal Saree Delivered Defective After 5–6 Trials
Dhwanil admitted tailoring mistakes had happened and repeatedly assured us everything would be fixed.
The saree went through 5–6 rounds of rework yet still arrived with defective pleats causing visible belly bumps.
The saree was delivered at 10:40 PM on 30th Jan — the night before my first wedding function. I had absolutely no option except to wear it and ask my stylist to drape it in a way that hid the defects.
After the wedding, Tanya and Bobby acknowledged the issue but later admitted the removed mirror work could not even be restored because mirrors had been removed during alterations in an attempt to reduce the bump caused by their tailoring mistakes.
At NO point did I deny wearing the outfit. I repeatedly asked: WHAT CHOICE DID I HAVE?
After spending nearly ₹8 lakh with this company, Sohel accused us of making “false claims” just to recover ₹79K, which was honestly insulting after everything we went through.
They falsely used my sign on ‘Seema Gujral’ outfit which I have no concern with and accepted with signature to display to bank as if blanket acceptance ‘Vani vats’ outfit as well. There was no need to use this unrelated sign on legal dispute document.
This entire experience felt unethical, manipulative, unprofessional, and mentally exhausting before and after one of the biggest events of our lives.
I genuinely regret trusting Pernia’s with our wedding outfits.
If this review helps even one future bride or groom avoid this experience, it’s worth writing

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Hey everyone,
I've ordered from them about 5 times. 3 of the 5 times the items have been a completely different size than the description that is posted on their website. I've had to spend money to alter the outfits once they arrive. This time (the third time), I got fed up and reached out to customer service to rectify the issue.
I included pictures in my initial email to them which they are denying are legitimate.
They are claiming that in the picture, I'm not "stretching the material enough."
This makes no sense, because the material would then be stretched taut on my body.
The pictures I sent were taken by a professional alterationist. They don't believe me and are asking for a video call to confirm. However this is after the fact and the alterationist has already adjusted the outfit.
The customer service agent has tried to close my request multiple times stating that "since it's been altered, its fixed and there isn't an issue". The issue I have with Pernia's still stands and each time I let them know that we have not rectified the issue. The timelines they are imposing are completely arbitrary.
It's an extremely pathetic process, they are unhelpful and I've decided to dispute the charge with my credit card.
This is just a warning so you dont have the same experience as me.

Help making appointments
Henry D’Souza helped me make appointments for my wedding outfits. I’m very excited to shop!

I strongly recommend avoiding this company.
I found my dream wedding dress on the Lashkaraa website, but when I went back to purchase it, the listing was gone. I later found the same dress through Pernia's Pop-Up Shop and ordered it.
Before ordering, I asked if the top could be made longer. They confirmed it could and charged $17, but did not provide a list of other available customization options.
I ordered an XL for safety (I normally wear a medium).
When the dress arrived, the top was far too small—I couldn’t button the back and the sleeves barely fit my arms.
Only after I raised the issue did they tell me additional customizations were available, but only if I had specifically asked for each one.
This is not how custom clothing should work. Customers should not have to guess what options exist; companies should clearly disclose all customization options upfront.
After a week and a half of back-and-forth, they offered alterations but charged $128 on a nearly $300 dress.
To make matters worse, I later found the same Lashkaraa dress directly from Lashkaraa for $47 less, and their website included a full list of customization options totaling about $5. When I asked why these were not shown, I was told it was my responsibility to ask.
They also advertise a price-match guarantee but refused to honor it or allow a return and repurchase.
I have contacted Lashkaraa because I don’t believe this reseller represents their standards. For comparison, Mirraw provided a complete customization form for a $50 dress, while this $300 purchase offered none.

Feedback
The company offers clothing which caters to a variety of sizes and is of good material. Customer service is always excellent and they strive to give the very best. My only feedback, please do stick to the timeline advertised on your products as failing to adhere to them will eventuate in negative feedback no matter how much the company tries to mitigate it.
Great customer service
In general, I’ve always had great customer experience with Pernia pop-up shop and that is why I am a repeat customer. Henry DSouza was very helpful and providing information regarding my order.
Buyers Beware: Do not purchase from this company
Pernia’s Pop Up Shop refuse to answer this simple question:
Is the following scenario “fair” to the customer - yes or no?
A customer purchases an item based on product images and information provided on a retail company website. When the product arrives, the customer immediately recognises that the garment does not match the product images and contacts the company right away, providing photographic evidence of the discrepancies.
After a week of back-and-forth, the retailer eventually acknowledges that the details of the garment are not as advertised online. The retailer offers the customer an in-store exchange. One week later, the customer seeks confirmation from the retailer that no additional shipping expenses will be incurred for the return and exchange. The customer agrees to this arrangement, despite being clear that a refund was their continued preference. After spending time selecting and inquiring about a few higher-priced items, the customer ultimately confirms that they will exchange the original item for a product of a similar price value. The retailer then suddenly backtracks, stating they cannot proceed with the exchange due to ‘high shipping and customs costs’. Instead, they offer a measly 5% ‘loyalty value’ coupon to spend on their website as a “gesture of goodwill” - despite the customer having done absolutely nothing wrong. The customer immediately rejects this counter and requests to speak to a manager. The manager is unavailable for two days. The manager gets in touch on a Friday and counters with a 50% value credit to spend on their website. The customer requests the value of the 50% store credit be refunded instead. The manager claims that a refund to the original account is impossible and cites the customer for delaying the resolution - despite the fact that it was the retailer who suddenly withdrew their offer made three weeks prior.
The manager then closes the case with no resolution agreed. The customer shares negative reviews online and via social media accounts to warn other potential customers of their experience. The retailer then blocks the customer from their social accounts in order to regulate their content.
Has the customer been treated “fairly” - yes or no?
Pernia’s customer service will not provide a simple yes or no answer to this question and it’s clear to see why.
Nyc experience
Henry really helped me with scheduling appointments according to my preferences. The whole conversation can be done via text or WhatsApp call. However, while visiting Pernia’s Pop-Up, I feel it should be informed beforehand that you can only try 3 outfits during a one-hour appointment.

Absolutely seamless experience. They were so easy to work with, they kept all my customizations in mind, and the fitting is perfect. A big thank you to my sales associate, Jayesh for all his assistance. Thank you for making my wedding outfit shopping so seamless and perfect. Thank you Pernia’s Pop Up Shop. 💕

Ordered suit that came with poor quality fabrics and embroidery that frayed. When I asked to return/exchange the non-customized item- the customer service representative would only approve the exchange if I bought another item that would be 3 times the price what i originally ordered. The representative’s reply was “ it was you who sent the selection “
Bunch of Cheaters!!!

Outstanding Experience with Nuzhat
I was able to connect with Nuzhat through WhatsApp, and she assisted me with the pieces I wanted to purchase. She was extremely professional and confident in her ability to deliver my items to my niece in Mumbai, who was traveling to the U.S. to see me.
The items I received were of excellent quality, and Nuzhat took my measurements ahead of time to ensure everything fit perfectly. I was very impressed by the level of service I received from her and will definitely reach out to her for all my future orders.
