Value for money

It was expensive but you good spend all day there, so it is value for money when it is wet and windy outside. The only thing I would state is they do not cater for allergens e.g. Gluten free as advertised. If you want ice cream or cake, yes, but hot food all contained gluten.

Boring review but great place

Bought tickets as part of a deal with the hop on hop off bus.

We arrived at 4pm (there was no hop on bus back after 4.45)

There is an aurora show in the planetarium and two volcano shows. All three were very informative and interesting.

The best bit has to be the indoor ice cave and the views from the outdoor balcony that gives you a 360 view of Reykjavik and the surrounding area.

There was a cafe and a restaurant which I cant comment on as I didnt use them

The toilets were clean and tidy.

The whole museum was well laid out.

Its only a 30.minute walk from the city

Great experience especially for nature enthusiasts

Beautiful interactive museums, realistic ice cave and nice planetarium explaining Icelandic geographical phenomenas, all included in your ticket. The top floor is a moving dome where you can have a drink (happy hour before 6 I think) and enjoy 360 view.

Great meal and even better view

Restaurant "Perlan" at the top of a hill in Reykjavik was one of the (many) great experiences on our recent trip to Iceland. The setting is spectacular, allowing you to sit at your table, and then within the two hour span of a fine dinner get a 360° view of the city and the surrounding water and landscape.

Our family chose from the à la carte menu because we could not agree on a shared menu. The house Chardonnay was excellent, as was the food. Even the pianist was great, alternating between classical music and jazz. We are happy to give this restaurant our best recommendation.
