Initially awesome, but problems persist
Perfect View Remodeling and it's owner, Louis, were impressive, had good ratings elseware and we had a good feeling about them. 80% of the renovation is fine. We moved the laundry to the basement and in order to have the washer and sink drain well, we needed a special pump. We agreed and were told it would be installed in the floor. They jackhammered the concrete floor. We were not informed that the ugly pump would be sticking out of the floor, preventing us from installing the cabinet we had for that corner. We should have been informed. The electrician installed ceiling fans in 3 bedrooms. One room's old ceiling fan was controlled by the light switch as well as pull chains. The light switch now does nothing, the electrician didn't connect it to the light switch. In the master bath, they removed a 4 inch marble saddle with a one inch commercial strip which is installed in front of the door jamb, doesn't fit, there are sharp metal pieces at the ends which can snag clothing or toes. I expressed clearly we needed a spring closer for the door from the garage. It's not there. There are numerous other very minor things that we will fix, but repeated email appeals to Louis to address the problems have gone unanswered. It was a $60K job and now we can't get him to reply to an email. Luckily, my boyfriend, whose house it is, is an attorney. We may be seeing Louis again. Mostly, we are disappointed because we had had a good rapport and open communication and now...... Nothing.
