make it as difficult as possible to activate, pair it will 3$ monthly holding fees so they can steal your money. your either left with waiting on a call for 30 minutes and nothing ends up being fixed, while your money is quietly stolen from you.

This is the furthest thing from a “perfect gift”. The second you buy the card the clock starts ticking and if not used they start taking away the balance through MONTHLY FEES, yet no where on the card does it state that or explain that. Then when you go to use the money it’s all gone because VISA stole it back and you’re left with no money. This should be illegal. I will never use visa again

I'd give it 0 but I cannot. Given to me as a gift for Christmas. Declined over and over. No explanation and no solution via online site. Scam. Everyone should report to authorities. I will.

Chiming in with the same as pretty much everyone else, this is an absolute scam. $150 stolen by this awful company and their "monthly service fees" past the point of activation (not even the expiry date). I feel bad for my great aunt who bought me the cards.

What a total scam company. Even if you don’t use the card, after a year of inactivity it starts charging an inactivity fee monthly so it’s possible for the balance to run down to zero even though it says on the gift card ‘funds do not expire’. Read the fine print if it says theperfectgift DO NOT BUY. There are other brands that do not charge a monthly inactivity fee.

I wish I could do a negative rating. It looks like its a scam, they charge monthly service fees so technically, all the money goes to waste. I have got $100 gift card from my friend and did not get to use a single penny out of it.

Had a gift card given to me, I called to try and see if there was a balance. They wouldn't tell me as the mailing address did not match what I provided...even though it was a gift and there was no way I could have ever provided that.

Then they hung up on me when I asked for more help.

I received a $100 gift card for 10 years of volunteering at local zoo. I admit I did not use it immediately. When I went to use it the other day I only had $46 left due to $3 monthly service fees. $3 monthly service fees? For what? This is highway robbery. Look at the money Visa is making from all the people they're taking service fees from. What a SCAM!!!

My friend gave me a $50 Visa giftcard as a birthday present about 5 years ago. I kept it in my drawer and kind of forgot about it. Recently I tried to use it, but it turns out that Visa had been charging me $3 a month as a "maintenance fee" for the past 5 years, and the card is currently worthless

I was given one of these gift cards and I have used it a few times and have tried several times to obtain my modest balance.
This card is more trouble than it's worth.
I do NOT recommend this card.

Called to check the balance on the gift card. They said the balance on card is $12.49; however, I can not use the money, the card keeps declining. I tried as low as $12.30 still declines. Agree with everyone else, SCAM RIP OFF!!! Finally got some of it to go through, all but $3.00 go figure.

Worse than useless!
I was trying to make a purchase using the gift card, to discover the account was empty! Embarrassing and disappointing! I contacted the customer service, to be told that I should have filed the complaint earlier; NONSENSE! I filed the complaint the same day I realized the fraud!...

They charged 7.95 to my youngest daughter and then they stole the entire card amount with a fraudulent scam of monthly fees. So now I am reminding everyone on my Facebook, Instagram, and word of mouth, monthly and every gift season to stay AWAY from People's: The Perfect Gift Visa/gift cards! I hate low life cheating scamming thieves and I pray that GOD takes all their money away one way or another! After reading how many people they have stolen from, I am amazed that a lawsuit or government investigation into this practice of scamming customers that pay an up front fee to purchase their cards. They received a payment only to take consumers money and earn interest fees from financial institutions and steal the rest of customer's money! There truly are evil people in this world.

The balance of $50 turned to $0 without using the card at all!!
A monthly service fee of $3 was eating the balance while the card was still in pack (never opened or used)!!!!

Card balance was eaten up before card even used. There was an expiry date but a big sticker covers it so unless you remove it, you will not see it nor will the person buying it at the store, “Customer service” said they would send a replacement card which did not happen in spite of getting a ref# and all. Horrible

What kind of gift card has a $3 monthly "maintenance" fee. Got these as a gift when I was young and when I wanted to use them they were completely sucked dry. Not only do they charge you extra to buy the cards but they charge you for having the card too! Lost so much money to these losers. Do not recommend

WTeff?! Received a gift card Christmas 2023. Their online documentation says the $3 service fees start 12 months after purchase but they started January 1, 2024. What a load of bullsh*t! There's no way to dispute service fees, their Claim Dispute form doesn't give you that option. What a shi*ty scam!

The seller is a thief, $3.00 a month on a gift card fees. I am sure the person that gave me the card wasn't aware of this. Do not use these cards or gift these cards, worst experience ever. However I had an expired Vanilla card and they are replacing it for me.
