I would strongly caution any vulnerable…

I would strongly caution any vulnerable customer considering PensionBee.

My experience has raised serious concerns about how vulnerable customers are treated in practice, compared to how support is described.

I am recorded by PensionBee as a vulnerable customer due to health issues. Despite this, I found that when making important financial decisions — specifically a pension withdrawal — the information provided to me was not presented in a way that properly reflected the real-world consequences.

While generic warnings were given, the practical impact of the withdrawal (particularly the tax treatment) was not explained clearly enough for me to make a properly informed decision. As a result, I suffered a significant and unexpected financial impact.

What is particularly concerning is what happened next.

When I raised this as a complaint, the response was defensive and repetitive. Rather than addressing the substance of the issue — namely whether the communication was clear, fair, and appropriate given my vulnerability — the focus remained on standard explanations about HMRC rules and generic risk warnings.

At no stage was there any meaningful reflection on:
– whether the information was actually understood
– whether it was presented in a way suitable for a vulnerable customer
– whether additional safeguards or explanations should have been applied

In addition, I experienced a separate issue where I was unable to access my account due to a system bug, which PensionBee later acknowledged. While this was eventually resolved, it added further stress at an already difficult time and raised concerns about reliability and communication during critical periods.

Overall, my experience highlighted a pattern:
– Reliance on generic, template-style communications
– A lack of genuinely tailored support despite known vulnerability
– A defensive approach to complaints rather than a problem-solving one

I fully appreciate that PensionBee operates as an execution-only provider. However, that does not remove the obligation to ensure that communications are clear, fair, and not misleading — particularly where the consequences are foreseeable and significant.

Based on my experience, there appears to be a gap between stated standards (including Consumer Duty expectations) and how cases are handled in reality.

I am currently pursuing the matter through formal channels.

If you are a vulnerable customer, I would strongly recommend seeking independent financial advice before making any decisions and not relying solely on platform guidance.

It was so easy!

It was so easy. One lost pension located and transferred within a couple of weeks with one more still being looked into. I had to do very little to get here. Very impressed so far!

Really easy to use
Go through the whole process took best part of 15min maximum
Uploaded all details and had a response back very quickly
The transfer of pension was easy and straight forward and questions I had just ask you "beekeeper "

slow transfer

Im finding pension bee very slow at transferring pensions across. As a new customer i expected a bit more get go with them.

Very easy transition to PesionBee

A very easy transition for my pension from the previous holder. A slow process overall but informed when things occurred. The web site is simple and straightforward which is what I wanted.
I intended to use PensionBee for my drawdown and took 25% tax free from my pot.
Unlucky with my timing as my pot dropped since 1st January 2026 and even further when it arrived with PensionBee. I lost money in my tax free amount because of that.
Further drawdown will be stopped until the markets stabalise and I can see if PensionBee is a good investment or whether my pot continues to fall. Only time will tell.
4 star instead of 5 star because of the loss situation at the moment.

Any query I had while transferring from my old pension scheme was made very easy. It took a little while due to security etc from previous scheme but overall very easy
