Website was easy to navigate, the videos for how to apply the screen, and the grip were helpful. The items came packaged well. I love the items themselves, the cases, the grip, and the screen I will order from them again.

Seems like greenwashing but still better than plastic?
I got an iPhone 13 phone case after much research and was really pleased with the ethos and seeming sustainability of the company. I was a wee bit concerned by the vastness of designs to choose from, BOGO offers, and constant new designs launching as that's always a red flag for overconsumption and low quality, but I had hope and ordered one anyway. The design on the back rubbed off very quickly with every day use which I didn't mind. The fit was a big issue for me however. The buttons didn't quite line up and were hard to press. Then the thin part of the case surrounding the charging port broke within a couple days and left the bottom of the screen unprotected from there on. A few months later the case started slipping off constantly and, eventually, after battling it for 12 months the top corner split open and it no longer functions as a case. I am really glad that it's compostable so I'm not too upset, but the model of repeated consumption still seems really wasteful to me! I think if the fit was more snug from the beginning (rather than having a big open gap inside if you don't buy a mag-safe module from them) it would have lasted me much longer! It was nice and grippy though, so that's the only advantage they'd have over their competitors in my eyes

I'm very happy with my pela phone case
I'm very happy with my pela phone case. The feel is very nice, it's sturdy, and I like the option to personalise my phone case. There is also useful information online about how to look after your phone case. I do have two things that would have taken my experience to another level.
1) The tracking information could have been clearer. While I did receive a tracking number (international order), I did not receive any email updates and the information was very minimal. I often wondered if it had gotten lost because of the lack of communication and time taken for it to arrive (order placed 29th Jan, arrived 12th Feb)
2) When personalising my phone case, this is the information on the website: "The printed version of the case will not have a border, the print will extend to the edge of the case." When my phone cases arrived, the opposite had occurred. The picture I chose had been cropped, and the phone border was the 'base colour', if that makes sense. Now, thankfully, I had chosen a neutral colour on the off-chance that the picture I chose did not cover the entire phone case. While I am still happy with my orders, I think there just needs to be some clarity on the website to explain that the photo chosen will be cropped, and the phone case border will be the 'base colour'. In hindsight, I probably would have chosen a different photo for one of my two phone cases, because I'm not too keen on how it looks. Just a simple matter which can be easily changed on the website because the customer needs to know how the final product will look when personalising a case.
Otherwise, I'm happy with my purchase - time will tell if the phone case lasts (but at least that's one less item going into plastic landfill!)

Easy return
I ordered the Scorpio phone case for my iPhone 17 and another phone case. While they appeared more cream based online when I receive them, they were very predominantly pink. I contacted customer service and I was able to return quickly easily without any problems.
Fantastic company
Fantastic company. All of their products are top notch- work fantastic while also being sustainable. Best phone cases ever (have gone through many phones and pela cases now for years), I love having something non plastic that protects my phone, and so many style options. I drop my phone all the time and these cases have protected it no matter what surface and distance I’ve dropped it. Packaging is sustainable too, which is so appreciated to not have unnecessary wrappings. Excellent customer service whenever I reach out- they always are responsive and find a solution if needed. I’ve encouraged all my friends and family to check pela out!

Love the cases, but not the bot customer service
Love the cases, but have not had a great experience with customer service this time. I got an email from a bot saying the case I chose was out of stock and to pick another. I emailed back and have not heard anything back. After my second follow-up email, I received a bot response that wasn't helpful, so I replied, and still nothing. I have now asked to cancel my order, but I had to do so through the same customer service route. At this point, it's bordering on humorous, because I'm not sure if I will hear from a human any time soon and can't just cancel online. AI does not replace humans. I was recommending this company to lots of people, but I am wary now.

I would give 5 star but I need to see how long the new case lasts, definitely the customer service is 6 stars! Shipping times are unusually long but if it’s not an emergency purchase it will not be a problem.

Faulty iPhone 17 pro case - wont refund in full
$70 for iPhone 17 pro case. Took weeks to arrive, and the side buttons don’t work.
Opened a return for defective product and they are charging return shipping on an unusable product.
Poor customer service. I want to support Canadian, but will be looking for a better product from another supplier.
