FRAUD

My initial collaboration was to produce a book about the cultural inspiration my generation experienced as a child.
Pearson (HM) offered me an opportunity for stocking 1000 with Barnes & Noble so long as I paid $4000.00 via wire transfer to AYM Consulting, for printing. 3 months later I received an audited report on the book's progress in 12 states. I received a letter on B&N stationery detailing that in 6 months 11/5 I will receive $15,000.00.
That week I followed up and was told I needed $3,200.00 for IDR upon which my check will be released. I refused, then I called B&N who informed me it was a SCAM (B&N do not ask for money.
I forwarded that email, and received an email thread from the 'IMPOSTER' B&N rep/vendor(nuriongan) stating that the last week of May, my check will be disbursed. Retained an attorney who told me it is an orchestrated SCAM.
This SCAM correspondence included the Snr Publishing Strategist working @ Pearson in CA, AYM Consulting in TX they used for the wire transfer of $6000.00 (stocking and restocking),and Nuriongan purporting as a B&N rep.
ALL ASPIRING AUTHORS, LET US INITIATE A CLASS ACTION SUIT. This is EVIL!

Caution Flag!

People who seek to self-publish a book are ideal targets for scam artists. They typically have a strong ego and are convinced the world really needs and wants to hear what they have to say. Pearson Publishers were quick to exploit this proclivity, expertly delivering just enough to thwart lawsuits but eventually leaving the author/victim with a tiny fraction of his or her expectations.
If my experience was typical, this is what you can expect.
They will review your manuscript and assure you it is pure genius that will sell well. They will promise that their offer of $800 covers everything and there will be no additional charges to put your book in the hands of eager readers. Your first clue of chicanery will be their insistence on wire transfer of money, no checks or money orders. That's common practice among swindlers, as a way to prevent you from getting your money back. Then comes the frustrations of getting their "edited" manuscript with formatting and editorial errors that middle school students should catch.
Meanwhile, the sales opportunities are being grossly exaggerated and you are being urged to act quickly to take advantage of this incredible investment opportunity. Just send a few thousand dollars more to pay for printing the huge order allegedly ordered by one or more major retailers! None of this comes with documented proof, and they will of course be highly insulted if you ask for proof.
Con artists are always nice people who gain your trust, but if you are gullible and believe their ego strokes you will soon find yourself on the sucker end of a literary snipe hunt, over #25,000 poorer and kicking yourself for ignoring the scam symptoms.

Kudos to their creativity!

When I set out to write a children’s book combining my passion for health and trees, i knew I needed help to make it possible. Then I found myself to pearson self publishers. From day one, they understood my vision to convey my massage about trees in a fun and meaningful way. The editing process felt smooth and collaborative– they really helped me shaped my story without losing my voice. Now, my book is out there, and the printing quality is beyond rewarding.
They’re my go to publishers now, Kudos to their creativity!

Book published but watch out for cost.

The company helped get my book published on Amazon but what they told me on what my royalty percentage was all bull. They saud I wouls get 80 percent of sells after printing cost. The hardcover sells for $58 and my royalty on it is 62 cents. The printing cost is $23 so you tell me how 62 cents is 80%. After spending thousands of dollars to get book on Amazon they then tried to get more money out of me saying if I got 1000 books printed they could be sold in Walmart and Barnes and Noble. If I had a do over I tried to find a different way to get it published.

Scammed by Pearson Self Publisher

I enrolled with pearson self publishers on 2023 dec. After 6 months, they dropped my project and said will refund on May 10. Till now, no refund, no response to emails calls messages. Utterly disappointed and frustrated. Have all proofs.
Was dealing with Anna Francis and Asher Jeff from.project team.
Brad Evan was the marketing person.
I hope I'll find a legal route to get my money back.
Thanks.
