So far....no annoying pop-ups to buy…

So far....no annoying pop-ups to buy stuff/ads.
Working dark mode with 'night view' for the actual PDF file open.
Easy to use with enough features for most.
PDF's should no longer be complex - Adobe's time was up years ago on this format. Enough already.

Laggy to DEATH

Mac OS:

Excellent editor with good interface and simple usable design. It doesn’t overload you with too many tools - it just comes with what the majority of people need.

HOWEVER: It is EXTREMELY laggy - almost unusably so. Performing any sort of action while working in a document causes the app to pause for a few seconds, showing the rainbow cursor. Actions that can trigger this include: scrolling, adding shapes, resizing objects, adding text, and changing format. This wastes a LOT of time.

A real shame since this is otherwise a perfect PDF editor - and it’s 100% free.

Screw Adobe, get this instead.

One of the rare completely free software that delivers what is promised with no commitment and traps. This freeware delivers EVERYTHING that Acrobat Pro does for free. Adobe is such a scummy company and I hope PDFGear continues to dominate without getting bought or absorbed by Adobe.

To the developer(s) of PDFGear, you guys are making a difference, one PDF at a time.

I have been using other PDF products…

I have been using other PDF products for a while until accidently came across PDFGear. This is the best free PDF product by far I am sure others are trying to get close but not as close that PDFGear has gotten and keeps getting better with each new version released.
I would highly recommend PDFGear even when it comes to the premium PDF products currently out there in 2026.
