I am writing to formally express my…Total DISSATISFACTION WITH THIS POORLY RUN SERVICE DEPT.
I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the Ed Payne Dodge Service Department in Weslaco, Texas. I believe everyone should be aware of the unacceptable service, lack of communication, and additional issues caused by the staff at this Service Department over the course of almost two months.

Initial Visit
Approximately two months ago, I brought in my 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 due to electrical issues. After nearly a month, I was charged $3,000.00 and told the truck was “GOOD TO GO.” However, the moment I drove off the lot, the exact same issue reoccurred. ________________________________________
Return Visit
I immediately returned and personally showed the Service Manager that the issue was never resolved. He acknowledged the truck had not been properly repaired and asked that I leave it again. I requested regular updates from the Service Representative, yet received almost no communication at all, and I have text messages documenting this. ________________________________________
Loaner Vehicle
Due to the lack of a loaner, I missed multiple business obligations and medical appointments. I was repeatedly told there were “10 people ahead” and that no loaner was available. ________________________________________
Continued Delays
Weeks passed with little to no progress. When I personally stopped by the dealership for updates, I was told: • “They had not started working on it yet,” and later, • “The mechanics are on Christmas vacation and needed to use their time off.” At that point, I requested the vehicle be returned immediately.

Vehicle Returned in Worse Condition
On December 9, 2025, I picked up my vehicle. The representative simply handed me my keys, without an apology, without explanation, and without any attempt to address the fact that I paid $3,000 for repairs, some of which were not necessary. Worse yet, upon getting in the truck I noticed that my automatic side steps were no longer functioning. These were working perfectly when I left the truck with the service department, and due to a knee issue, this makes it extremely difficult for me to enter the vehicle. Why was my truck returned to me in worse condition than when I brought it in? Customer service does not end at the point of sale, it begins there. Unfortunately, the Ed Payne Dodge in Weslaco Service Department has failed in every area of customer service, communication, and professionalism. I sincerely hope everyone who reads this, thinks twice before using the Service Department at Ed Payne Dodge in Weslaco. At this point, the service provided does not even deserve one star. As soon as I got home, I called Dodge Ed Payne Motors in Weslaco and asked to speak to the General Manager, Mr. Tony Flores and am still waiting for a call back. I really wish I could speak to Mr. Bud Payne himself!
