Pauly’s Bakehoose is a wee Glasgow bakery with one simple aim: to give people a proper treat when they order from us. After over 20 years working as a chef, I’ve spent years tweaking and perfecting my recipes—and now I want everybody to get in on this. From indulgent fudgy brownies, slabs of spiced Carrot Cake to buttery, melt-in-the-mouth shortbread, everything is handmade in small batches using quality ingredients. This is a wee business with huge standards: Quality products, generous portions and plenty of personality... Substance, with the style to back it up. And always...haun made in Glesga, wae care.

Absolutely phenomenal carrot cake, better than a shop bought cake, my favourite used to be John Lewis carrot cake but Pauly’s Bakehoose has surpassed my expectations. I would give it 100/10
Hands down, the best brownies I have ever tasted in my entire existence. I am not exaggerating when I say I will now be lying awake at night, having fever dreams about their shortbread until my next order arrives. It’s an addiction. I need financial compensation for emotional distress caused by the fact that I am currently shortbread-less.
Even my miniature dachshund gave them a 10/10.
(To be entirely legally transparent: it was technically a high-stakes, commando-style heist of stolen goods, but she literally did not care about the consequences). One second it was in my hand, the next she had transformed into a professional pastry thief. If it’s good enough for a dog with a zero-tolerance policy for subpar human food, it’s good enough for the Michelin guide.

I decided to order from Paulysbakehoose, and I am so glad I did—everything was just incredible.
The moment you open the box, you are hit with the most amazing aroma from the shortbread biscuits. They smell so rich and buttery, and they literally melt in your mouth the second you take a bite. Then came the brownies, which completely stole the show. They are so deeply chocolatey with a wonderfully gooey texture that makes them, honestly, the best brownie I’ve ever eaten.
If you prefer something a little more comforting and not quite as sweet, the banana and pecan is also an absolute standout. It has such a lovely flavour.
It is safe to say I am officially hooked and will definitely be ordering again soon!
