Awful customer service and dispute resolution.

I would like to document the following issues that I have experienced with PARO over the past few months.

Since 2022, I have been working with an accountant through Paro. Initially, everything was going well. The accountant assisted us in transitioning to GAAP financial modeling, managed our books monthly, and supported us with ad hoc projects. However, in mid to late 2023, I began to notice discrepancies in our books, such as missing transactions and misclassified items. Upon further investigation, I discovered that we were not properly implementing GAAP modeling, and our liabilities were inaccurately categorized among other issues.

I promptly notified Paro of these issues and requested to cancel our agreement. Instead of addressing the problems, they offered a new accountant without any attempt to resolve the ongoing issue. In February, they attempted to charge us for two additional months, citing a 60-day notice period in the Statement of Work (SOW). Despite my efforts to communicate the issues and provide evidence, they have been unresponsive and have shown no willingness to provide customer support or address the situation. Instead, they have aggressively pursued payment and even threatened to send the matter to collections.

I have consistently communicated the issues to them, but they have shown no interest in resolving the situation. It is disappointing to experience such poor customer service and dispute resolution from a company that presents itself as a tech company. Based on my experiences, I strongly advise against using their services for other business owners.

However, it is important to note that there was an outstanding balance on your account from prior invoices that had not been paid or disputed within the timeline we provide after issuing invoices. Despite multiple requests for documentation to support your claims of discrepancies in the financials, we did not receive the necessary information to further investigate and resolve these issues.

Great bookkeeper, great customer service

I used Paro for my bookkeeping needs for my business. They matched me with a bookkeeper who is positively fabulous! Paro is a parasite

Paro is the worst kind of middle manager. They stick to a nonsensical agreement, even when both the client and provider agree. Paro wants to extend its reach and continue to bill for services that the provider does not want billed. My best advice is to go directly to the provider and leave paro out of it. Save yourself money and work directly.

This business is an ABSOLUTE SCAM

This business is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. They onboarded us with an agreed upon term and then continued to charge us for a year beyond our agreement and with no work being done. When asked to do right by us as a customer, they simply pointed to a tiny post-script term that said despite agreed upon term, we will continue to charge until we have been explicitly instructed to terminate business. TERRIBLE response time to concerned emails despite severity of situation both professionally and financially.
Deeply irresponsible handling and NO HUMAN is reachable by phone, ever. 0/10.

Terrible customer support, unresponsive accountants

No response from their customer support after repeated emails. Our accountant stopped responding to our emails, then reappeared 2 days before taxes were due. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend.

One the worse companies

One the worse companies. The bookkeeper hired from them deleted all the payments from our QB.
Please don’t work with these guys.
